VasoMax

Performax Labs is a brand that we love here on Fitness Informant. They do things a bit differently than many other brands. Performax Labs tends to do this thing where they simply make impressive formulas for each of their products, and let those speak for themselves. No crazy marketing campaigns, no ridiculous claims… just straight up, effective products that stand the test of time. Hell, take a look at how long we’ve had HyperMax Extreme as one of our top rated pre-workouts?

Today, we are looking at their VasoMax product, which is a non-stimulant pump product, with quite an impressive profile with some interesting ingredients. Not only is it a pump product, it also contains nootropic ingredients which can aid in focus. Let’s take a look at the individual ingredients and how they may help.

Pump and Nitrix Oxide Blend

GlycerSize™ (65% Glycerol Powder) – 5g

GlycerSize™ is a trademarked form of Glycerol Monostearate, which is a very popular ingredient in pump products. It also works a bit differently from traditional pump ingredients as well. Where many ingredients focus on vasodilation/vasorelaxation, Glycerol Monostearate works by muscular hydration. It has been shown to help with aerobic and anaerobic performance.

Performax Labs uses GlycerSize™, which has been standardized to 65% glycerol. This is important, as many powders on the market have no standardization and yield MUCH less glycerol by weight.

You’re getting 5 grams of Glycerol Monostearate in VasoMax, which is a solid dose, and higher than the usual 1g-2g you see in many other products these days.

Taurine – 2.5g

Taurine is the next ingredient in VasoMax, and it should come as no surprise. Taurine is growing in popularity, and for good reason. Taurine is known for its ability to aid with blood flow and hydration. Hydration is very important for pumps, and many already take Taurine for the anti-cramping benefits.

At 2.5 grams, you are getting a solid dose in VasoMax.

Vaso6™ – 300mg

Vaso6 is the next ingredient on this list, and it is a popular ingredient in pump products. It is derived from Green Tea, and it may increase vasodilation and promote vasorelaxation. It provides antioxidants, and is more beneficial for your body than just “getting a pump”… but it’s nice for that as well.

At 300mg, it is dosed well in VasoMax.

S7™ – 50mg

S7 is a low dosed, proprietary complex of 7 phytonutrient-rich botanicals (green coffee bean extract, green tea extract, colorless turmeric extract, tart cherry, blueberry, broccoli and kale), soluble and non-GMO ingredient from FutureCeuticals. To keep it quickly, it provides antioxidants that can aid with nitric oxide production.

At 50mg, it is at the clinicals dose.

NooTropic Blend

AlphaZone™ – 300mg

The next ingredient in VasoMax is AlphaZone, which is a trademarked form of Alpha GPC. Alpha GPC is a popular form of Choline. When ingested, it gets converted into Acetylcholine, which is a neurotransmitter in your brain. It is usually the first ingredient recommended to aid in focus.

Alpha GPC is known as a high quality version of Choline, as it has a high bioavailability when compared to the more common form of Choline known as Choline Bitartrate, At 300mg, it is dosed well.

KannaEase™ – 25mg

Finally we come to KannaEase™. This is an ingredient used to reduce anxiety in supplements, and can be very beneficial for people that want a lot of energy yet may want to avoid some of the anxiety that comes with high doses of stimulants.

A study showed Kanna being beneficial for cognitive flexibility. The study was a double-blind/placebo controlled, done over 4 weeks. The subjects in this study also reported better sleep quality, however more research needs to be done on this before it can be recommended as a sleep aid.

At 25mg, it is at the clinical dose.

Huperzine A (Std. to 1%) – 10mg

The next ingredient in this blend is known as Huperzine A, which is another popular ingredient in Nootropics. Huperzine A is an Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. To keep it simple, it prevents Acetylcholine from being broken down in the brain, thus helping with focus.

You don’t need much, and the 10mg at a 1% standardization is a solid dose.

Absorption Enhancement

AstraGin® – 50mg

The final ingredient in VasoMax is AstraGin®, a very popular ingredient in supplements these days. It is derived from Ginseng, and it helps with overall absorption of certain ingredients. This is nice to see in here, as it’s not necessarily what you put in your body, but what it is absorbing.

At 50mg, it is dosed well in VasoMax.

Final Takeaway

Gerhard- I really enjoyed my first few runs with this product. The Orange Mango is simply a refreshing flavor and isn’t too sweet. VasoMax certainly has that Glyercol Monostearate mouthfeel to it, however I personally enjoy it. The pumps I experienced for the first couple of uses were very impressive, and really it’s nice to see a product do well and prove that you don’t need Citrulline in a pump product for it to be effective.
