Overview of Inspired Nutraceuticals DVST8 White Cut
DVST8 White Cut is a pre-workout supplement introduced to the market in 2016. Various websites have raved about the effects this pre-workout has on a person’s workout. We take an in-depth look to determine if this supplement walks the walk.
DVST8 White Cut by Inspired Nutrition does a fantastic job in doing what a pre-workout should do: increase your energy and endurance during your workout while allowing you to be laser focused. DVST8 outperforms a lot of the pre-workouts on the market that they pack the container with ingredients backed by science, and not marketing dollars. Pre-workouts are meant to be taken quickly 30-40 minutes prior to your session so taste shouldn’t be an issue. Chug this before you hit the gym and be impressed with that day’s workout.
Testing Results and Ratings
We reviewed Inspired Nutraceuticals DVST8 White Cut on five categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pre-workout, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.
We then look at effectiveness. An effective pre-workout will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages. This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.
Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: California Gold (Peach Mango)
Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pre-workout products on the market.
DVST8 White Cut has a great profile of ingredients packed inside this pre-workout. DVST8 is a stimulant based pre-workout, meaning it contains caffeine and other stimulants, but this is a big reason why it is so effective. DVST8 combines theobromine, which widens your blood vessels, with L-citrulline, which improves nitric oxide production aka increased blood flow, to provide one helluva pump as well as an increased blood flow into your muscles.
Increased blood flow into your muscles is how you gain muscle and burn fat. It also combines 1,600mg of beta alanine with a caffeine profile of 200mg to really give you the energy and endurance you need. Overall this is one of the best labels you will find on a stimulant based pre-workout. Very effective. (See the rankings of our top preworkout choices here)
DVST8 White Cut is very effective. As a person who has taken many different pre-workouts throughout the years it is hard for me to find one that actually does what it says, especially for a person like me who doesn’t feel the effects from pre-workouts as much as I used too. Within 20 minutes of taking DVST8 you notice right away that you become laser focused at the task at hand, to lift long and hard.
You do not get the jitters or that sudden rush of energy you might get with other pre-workouts. Don’t be confused; however, this pre-workout does give you the energy you need to push through a workout. It is a gradual energy that gets better the longer you lift. You will find yourself wanting to keep going while at the gym because your energy level and your focus is so strong.
California Gold (Peach Mango):
DVST8 White Cut flavor is very similar to other effective pre-workouts on the market. California Gold, described as peach mango, was an OK tasting pre-workout at best. We’ve read other review criticizing the taste of DVST8 but these claims are a bit harsh. Pre-workouts are meant to be drank quickly and not sipped on. Even if you did sip this pre-workout you would not be dissatisfied.
This all depends on what you are using to mix your pre-workout. I used a Blender Bottle with the spiral ball. Mixability was OK. I did notice that there was some residue left over after mixing that goes to the bottom but nothing a little more water cannot take care of. As is with taste I don’t expect pre-workouts to be amazing at mixability since you essentially chug the drink 30-40 minutes prior to your exercise. The mixability could be better but it is not a deal breaker.
The container of DVST8 White Cut contains 40-servings. The scoop size is pretty good and with the profile of the pre-workout you get what you need in one scoop. The price range of this product does range from $39.99-$54.99 depending on where you buy it and if it is on sale. Because of the effectiveness of this product and the fact that you get 40-servings we think this is a great value pre-workout. You get what you pay for.
