Right? Well, maybe not!

Sparta Nutrition is another brand announcing that they will be removing DMHA from their #1 rated pre-workout, Kraken. The original Kraken, featuring 200mg of DMHA, took home our 2017 Shield of Excellence Supplement Award for best pre-workout featuring DMAA/DMHA. However, just like DMAA, the pressure was coming down on supplement companies to also remove DMHA.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]The reformulated Kraken will see several key ingredients missing from the original formula. We already talked about DMHA being removed. For those of you who have zero clue what DMHA is, it is basically caffeine on steroids without the crash. We were big fans of it.

Also missing from the new formulation will be the 250mg of Eria Jarensis Extract. The combination of DMHA and Eria Jarnensis provided epic energy and focus that gave us our best workout.

L-Norvaline and Agmatine Sulfate are also removed from the V2 formula. L-Norvaline works by inhibiting arginase production, allowing you to produce massive amounts of nitric oxide. Agmatine Sulfate helps push you past the pain threshold to help with massive pumps.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”4918″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]Before you jump off the Kraken bandwagon, it’s important that you know that the reformulated Kraken will carry over several important ingredients.

You are still going to get a healthy dose of L-Cittruline at 4g. Beta-Alanine will still be clinically dosed at 3.2g. HydroMax, Glycerol Powder, is still being provided at a full 2g. You will also still get 1g of Taurine and 500mg of L-Tyrosine.

So what is going to replace the epic DMHA/Eria Jarensis to make this as good, if not better than the one we reviewed?[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”4919″ alignment=”” animation=”Fade In” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]Sparta Nutrition first started by upping the Caffeine Anhydrous dosage from 200mg to 250mg. This is more standard with the caffeine dosages on the marketing today.

They couple the 250mg of Caffeine with 250mg of TeaCrine. The combination of Caffeine and TeaCrine gives the end user prolonged energy without the crash. Studies have shown that you do not develop a tolerance to TeaCrine as well.

They essentially replace Agmatine Sulfate and L-Norvaline wiht Vaso6 and Theobromine. Vaso6 is a new ingredient by Compound Solutions Vaso6 has been shown to increase vasodilation by 50%. This is 10x more than Arginine when dosed at 300mg. You get 300mg with the new Kraken. Theobromine helps widen the blood vessels allowing for more blood flow to your muscles. You get 50mg of Theobromine.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]The reformulated Kraken carries fat burning ingredients in it as well. N-Methyl L-Tyramine HCL is present in version 2 at 30mg. This is an energy producing, fat burner ingredient found in a lot of highly effective fat burners (like Dexaprine from iForce Nutrition). We also get a fairly new ingredient called Cocoabuterol. Cocoabuterol is present at 15mg and provides a boost of energy and thermogenic abilities.

No one likes change, especially when the change comes to your #1 rated pre-workout. The higher ups at Sparta Nutrition have told us not too worry about the reformulation. They told us that they believe the reformulated Kraken is actually better than the DMHA version.

We will be receiving several units to test and update our full review on Kraken. Will this change their ranking on our Best Pre-Workout list? Only time and a test will tell![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
