Overview of The Lions Pack Edible Cookie Dough

The Lions Pack is making a profit on us fitness freaks who are looking for healthy alternatives to our favorite sugar cravings. They make edible cookie dough, spreads, pancake mix, muffin mix and more. We had to get our hands on their cookie dough and really put it to the test.

The Lions Pack edible cookie dough is good. Some flavors are much better than the others, but overall if you’re looking to cure your sweet tooth and you’re tired of nut butters, then edible cookie dough from The Lions Pack is a solid choice. It is a little pricey for what you get, but your sweet tooth will thank you.

Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

  • EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
  • INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
  • 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings

We reviewed The Lions Pack Cookie Dough on four categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the ingredients used, amounts included and their intended purposes, as well as other ingredients used.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Monster Cookie, Birthday Cake and Oree-Dough.

We look at texture on this as well. We want to make sure it is edible/drinkable.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and texture in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of this available on the market.

Ingredients Profile

(0/10)

The Lions Pack edible cookie doughs are completely nut free. This is a big benefit for a lot of people with nut allergies. They use brown rice flour as the main ingredient to make their cookie doughs. They are also using vegan protein sources for the protein powders making these 100% vegan friendly.

Two other areas where The Lions Pack gets it right is using a super food mix of different greens and fruits. They also put probiotics in their cookie doughs as well.

The macros are super friendly:

Taste

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: (10/10)
Monster Cookie: (9/10)
Oree-Dough: (8/10)
Birthday Cake: (7/10)

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was by-far the best of the four we tried. It actually tasted like real cookie dough…the stuff I used to make when I was a kid. Monster Cookie was also delightful. If you’ve ever had monster cookie spreads before you can envision the same taste. Birthday Cake tasted more lemon to me than it did birthday cake flavor. Oree-Dough took a bit getting used too, but I loved the real Oreo Cookie chunks in it. My order would be: Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Monster Cookie, Oree-Dough and Birthday Cake.

Texture

(8/10)

Texture varied from flavor to flavor. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough was soft, like you’d expect from a cookie dough. This was another reason it scored so high on our taste test. Monster Cookie was also relatively soft and easy to spoon out.

Oree-Dough was a harder than we’d like. With the real Oreo Cookie bites I fully expected it to be a bit harder, but the actual dough was as well. Still didn’t effect the taste. Birthday Cake was hard. It was difficult to scoop out and roll into a cookie dough ball like you’d like. Maybe we just got an older batch? Not sure, but all-in-all the texture was just fine.

Value

(6/10)

It’s hard to find health conscious sweet tooth craving items for a low price out there. Use Halo Top Ice Cream for example. They charge close to $6 a pint. Same can be said for The Lions Pack edible cookie dough. A jar costs $12.99 on their website. The issue is, they aren’t that big. It’s a 10oz jar, so you’re paying more than $1 per ounce.

Overall, if you really want to try it I think it’s a good thing to splurge and get a 4-pack (cost savings) and see if it is something you’d want to continue to buy in the future. I will most likely be sticking to my homemade peanut butter balls to cure my sweet tooth.
