Dymatize Fruity Pebbles & Cocoa Pebbles ISO100 Coming March 2nd

By February 21, 2020No Comments

The most anticipated launch of 2020 may very well likely be Dymatize’s new Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles flavored ISO100. Ever since the news leaked online retailers and consumers have been clamoring for answers on when they can get their hands on the new products. We now know the answer. Dymatize has announced that the national launch of ISO100 in both the Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles flavor will be Monday, March 2nd. The brand has indicated that it could very well show up in Vitamin Shoppe locations prior to March 2nd.

Dymatize ISO100 Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles flavors will be available in a 1.6lb, 3lb and 5lb option. The brand has announced that the 5lb option will only be available at physical retail stores, not online. As a consumer you can still purchase the 1.6lb and 3lb option online at your favorite online retailer if they carry the brand.

Dymatize is the first brand to bring an authentic cereal flavor to the protein category. Dymatize was able to use their connections within the family of brands to secure the valuable intellectual property of the Flintstones and the Pebbles cereal collaboration. Dymatize is owned by Bellring Brands, which is part of Post Holdings. Bellring Brands also owns Premier Protein, Power Bar and Supreme Protein. Post Holdings is also the parent company for Post Consumer Brands. Within the Post Consumer Brands portfolio sits the Pebbles cereal collection which contains both Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles.

Fitness Informant's POV

We received the 1.6lb tub of both Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles ISO100 to our HQ. Let me first start by saying that both of the flavor profiles are damn near matched to a tee on both of the flavors. Fruity Pebbles tastes just like the milk leftover from a bowl of Fruity Pebbles. I thought Cocoa Pebbles was just going to be another chocolate...but I was wrong. Dymatize was able to match the flavor of the milk leftover in a bowl of Cocoa Pebbles.

The one area I was disappointed in was that Dymatize elected to not use actual cereal pieces (inclusions) in the protein. We think the use of real Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles, in moderation, would have added to the authenticity of the collaboration. With that said, we understand that Dymatize wants to keep their carbs at 2g or less, adding inclusions would have put that over the top. Personally, I do not think consumers would have cared...they are buying for the collaboration.

Dymatize elected to use edible glitter that resembles Fruity Pebbles in the Fruity Pebbles flavor, and nothing in the Cocoa Pebbles flavor. With all of this being said, the flavors are still amazing. Dymatize did a helluva job matching the flavor profiles of the actual cereal. We are excited for this launch!
