Legion Athletics Triumph: A Triumphant MV

legion triumph

Legion is a brand that is special in its own way. They do not make the most extreme products, or the most loaded formulas. What they do well is delivering and not overpromising. It’s refreshing really. To have a brand that uses proven ingredients that work, without any of the crazy claims or promises that fail to deliver.

Today, we look at Triumph, which is a Men’s Multivitamin. Now this isn’t a simple multivitamin, this has a variety of ingredients at solid doses, which may help with your overall well-being. So while we will not go over every ingredient in Triumph, as it has an extensive profile, we will go over some of the ingredients that stick out to us.

Ingredient Profile

Vitamin D3 – 2000IU

triumphOne of the first ingredients we have to point out is Vitamin D3. One of the most important vitamins in the modern world, and for the times we live in. Not only do people not get enough sunlight.

Vitamin D is typically sourced through sunlight exposure and also through the diet. The main source of dietary Vitamin D is through fish, which is far from the most popular protein source in today’s society. This vitamin is an essential part of the human body, as it facilitates stable blood levels of calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin D deficiency leads to weak bones and eventually osteoporosis. We believe this is one of the most essential vitamins to supplement with, especially if you aren’t outside very often and have a job that requires you to work inside.

You get 2000IUs in Triumph, which is a solid dose.

Vitamin K-2 (as Menaquinone-7) – 100mcg

The next ingredient in Legion Triumph is Menaquinone-7, or MK-7. It is a high quality form of Vitamin K2, and it is another solid addition. We’re going to start this off with a little lesson here. There are 2 kinds of Vitamin K. There is K1 (phylloquinone), and K2 (menaquinone). Vitamin K has long been known as a blood coagulator. The biggest difference you need to know between K1 and K2 is that K1 comes from plants (mainly leafy green vegetables), while K2 is found in animal and fermented foods.

As for heart health, insufficient dietary K2 intake can increase the risk for calcification of the blood vessels. So getting Vitamin K2 in your diet is very important, and it is great to see it in Legion Triumph.

N-Acetyl-Cysteine – 250mg

NAC is in Triumph, and for good reason. One of the most beneficial supplements on the market for a variety of reasons, it is great to see it in here. NAC is a precursor to Glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant in the body. You see NAC being used for many reasons, as it can be beneficial for liver health, immune health, as well as lung health.

You get 250mg of NAC in Triumph, which is a decent dose, at least for a multivitamin. We highly recommend you go and look further into the benefits of NAC yourself, as there is so much it can be good for.

Grape Seed Extract – 150mg

Grape Seed Extract is a very popular ingredient for the purpose of reducing blood pressure. It is known as an antioxidant, and has been studied and shown to be beneficial for lowering blood pressure.

Legion Triumph has 150mg, which is enough to be beneficial.

CoQ-10 – 90mg

Coenzyme Q10, also known as CoQ10 is used to treat many cardiovascular condition. Per the Mayo Clinic, CoQ10 may help reduce blood pressure.

A meta analysis done in 2007 looked at 12 clinical trials with 362 patients to determine the effectiveness of CoQ10 on lowering blood pressure in hypertension patients. The researchers concluded that Coenzyme Q10 has the potential in hypertensive patients to lower systolic blood pressure by up to 17 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure by up to 10 mm Hg without significant side effects.

Per WebMD, there is no established ideal dose of CoQ10. Studies have used doses of CoQ10 ranging from 50 milligrams to 1,200 milligrams in adults, sometimes split into several doses over the course of a day. A typical daily dose is 50 milligrams to 200 milligrams.

We get 90mg in Triumph.

Lutein/Zeaxanthin – 6mg/6mg

This ingredient is commonly referred to as the “eye vitamin”. This vitamin is a patented form of lutein and zeaxanthin which provide support to the eyes and act as a safe-guard from many eye diseases and disorders.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoid compounds that are consumed in the diet through various leafy vegetables, fruits, and several other plant species. The typical diet in the 21st century is not as well balanced as it used to be. Therefore, these precious carotenoids are less likely to be consumed furthering the need for supplementation.

You get both at 6mg in Triumph.

KSM-66® – 500mg

The next ingredient in Legion is KSM-66, and it is a great addition.

In another randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study done on human subjects with histories of chronic stress, subjects using Ashwagandha were shown to have significantly reduced levels of cortisol after 60 days of use.

Of course Ashwagandha has a lot of benefits, including increased endurance, strength, and recovery.

You get 500mg in Triumph, which is a solid amount.

Pumpkin Seed Extract – 333mg

Now we have an ingredient that really makes this for Men’s health. Prostate health is something more men should be aware of, and should take seriously the older they get.

The next ingredient in Triumph is Pumpkin Seed Extract. According to a double-blind, placebo-controlled study, Pumpkin Seed may be good for benign prostate hypertrophy. Benefits were noticed with 3 months of continued use.

You get 333mg of Pumpkin Seed Extract in Triumph.

Final Takeaway

Legion Triumph is a great multivitamin. With such a loaded profile, there is too much to go over in one article. Still, with solid forms of vitamins, as well as some interesting additions, this makes it one of the better multivitamins on the market, as it offers more than just vitamins. From the NAC, to the Ashwagandha, to the Lutein/Zeaxathin… there is just a lot Triumph has to offer.

If you don’t mind downing 8 capsules per day, and want an overall Men;s health product, this is certainly a product worth trying out.
