Beta-Alanine – 3.2g

Beta-Alanine is one of the most popular add-ons into a pre-workout powder. When Beta-Alanine first came out most consumers just associated the tingles with this ingredient. However Beta-Alanine provides a performance benefits when taken daily at the minimum amount of 3.2g. It helps buffer lactic acid which allows you to workout longer before muscle fatigue kicks in. This is prolonging muscular endurance. Another benefit of Beta-Alanine is it may help alleviate DOMS – delayed on-set muscle soreness – for those who may be just starting out or went through a strenuous workout.

Betaine Anhydrous – 2.5g

Betaine Anhydrous is a powerhouse ingredient that helps users improve their performance output in the realm of strength and power. Betaine Anhydrous works by improving cellular hydration and creatine synthesis which plays a vital role in ATP production (ie output and performance). Some studies have also shown that Betaine Anhydrous may help improve blood flow. We like the 2.5g dosage used here.

HydroNOX – 2g

HydroNOX is a newer pump inducing ingredient by Viero, the makers behind CON-CRET Creatine. If you are not familiar with CON-CRET they developed a Creatine HCl form that can be dosed significantly less that Creatine Monohydrate with the same results. HydroNOX is the same concept but instead of Creatine it is focused on Citrulline. Viero claims that HydroNOX is 3x more powerful than Citrulline. That means a 2g dosage of HydroNOX (as seen here in this formula) would work similar to 6g of pure Citrulline. The idea behind Citrulline is it converts to Arginine in the body and improves nitric oxide pushing more blood into the muscles improving pumps and performance.

Betaine Nitrate (NO3-T) – 1.5g

Betaine Nitrate as NO3-T is an exogenous form of Betaine Anhydrous and nitrates. The purpose of this ingredient is to improve performance and blood flow. Exogenous nitrates are some of the most effective ingredients to improve blood flow and improve pump and performance. The 1.5g dosage is great to see.

Tyrosine – 1.5g

Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid that has gained a lot of popularity for it’s ability to improve cognition. Focus is a big part of our workouts as we are surrounded by a lot of distractions. Tyrosine has been shown to improve focus, memory and mood. The 1.5g dosage has become pretty standard in pre-workout formulas.

Taurine – 1.5g

Taurine has a few benefits when it comes to a pre-workout. The first benefit is it aids in regulating electrolytes to ensure the muscle cells are hydrated to aid in muscular contractions. The better the contraction the better the results. Taurine can also aid in potentially minimizing some of the negative side effects of caffeine. This could include minimizing or elimination of the “jitters” some users experience from elevated levels of caffeine and other stimulants. We typically see this starting at 1g, sot the 1.5g dosage is a nice add.

AlphaGPC – 285mg

AlphaGPC is a premium choline ingredient that helps improve focus. Alpha-GPC crosses the blood–brain barrier efficiently and delivers free choline to the brain. Choline is then used to make acetylcholine — a neurotransmitter essential for memory & learning, attention & focus and muscle contraction. Most AlphaGPC has a 50% yield; we are unsure if this is the active yield at 285mg or if it is the actual dosage, but when combined with Huperzine A users should experience a longer lasting choline impact during their performance.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 250mg

Caffeine Anhydrous, a synthetic version of caffeine, aids in reducing the feeling of fatigue. The 250mg dosage is between the common 200mg and 300mg dosages we are seeing in the space. Caffeine Anhydrous is a fast-acting caffeine source that begins to take effect about 10-15 minutes after consuming it. MuscleTech Stacked Pre also includes a delayed release caffeine in VitaShure that will help keep the “energy” higher for longer and potentially reducing the crash.

Choline Bitartrate – 195mg

In addition to AlphaGPC, users are going to get 195mg of Choline Bitartrate. Choline Bitartrate is choline bound with tartaric acid to make it more stable and easier for the body to absorb. It’s often used to support cognitive function, memory, and liver health, but it’s less efficient at crossing the blood–brain barrier compared to other forms like Alpha-GPC or CDP-choline.

VitaShure Sustained Release Caffeine – 83mg

VitaShure is a patent form of sustained release caffeine that works well with Caffeine Anhydrous. This will yield a total of 50mg caffeine so users will get a full 300mg dosage of active caffeine per serving. By adding VitaShure MuscleTech is trying to help keep “energy” levels high for a longer period of time without the crash that some users experience. Sustained release means that caffeine is going to be released over a period of time versus instant like Caffeine Anhydrous.

Senactiv – 50mg

Senactiv is a great ingredient from Nuliv Science that aids in eliminating dead cells and regenerating new ones to improve overall performance. Senactiv is a patent ingredient from NuLiv Science that has been shown to increase time to exhaustion in high intensity interval training, increase ATP production, speed up recovery by reducing inflammation in the muscle and increasing muscle glycogen levels and eliminate deteriorating muscle cells. The clinical dosage of Senactiv is 50mg which is what we get here.

Yohimbine – 10mg

Yohimbine as recently removed from their EuphoriQ pre-workout, but it was added back into Stacked Pre. The 10mg dosage will yield .6mg of active Yohimbine which is going to be sufficient for most people. Yohimbine is a strong stimulant that can improve energy and focus as well as increase thermogenesis. Many users of Yohimbine state it is what kicks them into that next level. The dosage used here should not be enough to give users anxiety which higher amounts of Yohimbine can do.

Huperzine A – 10mcg

Huperzine A is used at 10mcg. This is a slightly lower dosage than we are used to seeing but the purpose of Huperzine A is to prevent the enzyme that breaks down Choline. MuscleTech Stacked Pre has AlphaGPC and Choline Bitartrate so an ingredient like Huperzine A is added to help prevent the breakdown of those Choline molecules to ensure you experience elevated focus for a longer period of time.
