We tend to gravitate towards protein bars on-the-run, but Jerky can be a much better option. Wicked Cutz is solid all around. I’ve had a lot of dry beef jerky before, this is not that. The pieces of meat are tender and moist and the taste is amazing. Ingredients Profile

A product like bacon will have more fat (Maple Sugar will have more sugar). The basis of jerky is it is dried meat with seasoning and spices. Really, the only way to have this be bad for you is if you candy it, deep fry it, etc. That’s not the case here. This is dried meat.The only “negative” on this will be the high sodium count. This is typical anytime you dry a meat. Let’s take a look at Old Fashioned Maple Bacon…arguably the least healthy product:

So yes, not the best in the world, but this is bacon with maple on it. What would you expect.
Overall, I like these products. Teriyaki and Original are common flavors I have had a lot of in the past. They are definitely good, they just didn’t excite my senses as much as the other two. Sriracha Bacon was very good too. It had a small amount of kick which I enjoyed. Volcanic Jalapeno is HOT. I like spicy food, and this was really hot. But in a good way. It added to it. Just keep a glass of water next to you, maybe two of them.

The Teriyaki Turkey was tough for some reason, but the Korean BBQ Turkey wasn’t. Bacon essentially melted in your mouth. That was great. Beef was really good. You get some of these jerkys that are SO chewy…this is not the case. However, you’ve all been in the store and seen jerky prices, they are high. There is a value add here given that we have bacon, turkey and beef, plus great flavors. I know some of you might think a 25g protein bar is only $2 versus this but this is a more complete source of protein typically than a protein bar, and it is REAL food.I like the product a lot.
