RedCon1 has officially announced the launch date of their new B.A.R. Protein Cereal Bar featuring whey protein. The three bars, Rainbow Breakfast, Crunchy Cinnamon Bits and Fruity Cereal will be released on Friday, February 22, one week before the 2019 Arnold Classic.
Many people are eagerly awaiting this launch. Last year, around the same time, RedCon1 launched the industry shaking MRE Bar, which is now one of the most popular protein bars in the sports nutrition space. The B.A.R. will be different from the MRE Bar in that it will feature whey protein, the MRE Bar does not.
While the MRE Bar uses animal protein, it was not a whey protein bar. The B.A.R. is, as it uses whey protein isolate and concentrate, along with crisps to provide the crunch and a full 20g of protien per serving.
The macros of the bar are:
Calories: 190
Protein: 20g
Carbs: 20g
Fats: 4g
Sugars are at 5g
The B.A.R. will feature real cereal pieces that provide the flavor you remember from your favorite childhood cereal.
Other brands were also teasing a cereal protein bar, but it seems like RedCon1 will be the first to market with this new version of the bar. Stay tuned to Fitness Informant for more information on the official launch.
Fitness Informant’s POV
The tease is finally over! We now know when the B.A.R. will hit market. As I have mentioned before, we were one of the first people to try the Fruity Cereal Bar, and it was delicious. These are not at all like the failed Quest cereal protein bars, these are way better. The flavor is bold and vibrant and the macros are decent in my book (I don’t mind carbs). I am looking forward to this launch and see how well it does once it hits the expo floor at the Arnold!
