The 2020 Mr. Olympia has been on a lot of people’s minds in the fitness industry with many large events being moved or canceled, including the 2020 Arnold Classic. We got clarification today on the 2020 Mr. Olympia that it will in fact be taking place in Las Vegas but not during the originally planned weekend. The 2020 Mr. Olympia has been moved to December 16-20 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In a video posted to the Mr. Olympia Instagram page, Dan Solomon, a former guest on the “Be Informed. Live Fit.” podcast confirmed the move. Dan also mentioned that the event will be moved to the center of the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood Resort. Dan confirmed that the main events on Friday and Saturday evening will now take place at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood.

The Olympia committee got in front of this and decided to take action now. Trying to secure a location in Vegas is not easy, but the team there did it. I am excited to see this moved to the strip. The Orleans was decent, but Planet Hollywood and the Zappos Theater will provide a much better experience.
If I had to guess, I would think that the sports and fitness expo will also be moved there, having everything at the same spot, but time will tell. The only downside is the pools won't be open.
