FIt Butters has announced a new flavor of their growing nut butter line, but this time it comes with a special cause. FIt Butters has partnered with 'Merica Labz to create Independence Cake, a birthday cake flavored cashew almond butter. Collectively the brands have agreed to donate $1 per jar sold to support the Folds of Honor Foundation.
Since 2007, the Folds of Honor has carried forth their singular, noble mission, to provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service-members. Their mission states it best: Honor Their Sacrifice. Educate Their Legacy.
"I have been a big advocate of cause marketing. We feel it is very important to give back. This will be the first of many cause marketing campaigns we do. We have a team of great people who are passionate about many things. Our US armed forces, and charities that support such, hold a soft spot in our hearts because of what they represent, and because one of our owners, Erik Struebig, served in our US armed forces. Folds of Honor was an obvious choice for us. They are an A+ rated organization with the vast majority of money raised going to the services they provide," said CEO Ryan Bucki.
Independence Cake will feature 'Merica Labz Independence Cake whey protein. This is a birthday cake flavored whey protein featuring red, white and blue sprinkles. FIt Butters Independence Cake will also feature more red, white and blue sprinkles to celebrate America.
"We had wanted to do this since we launched back in April. We looked at several brands to determine who would be a good fit. Doug Miller reached out and wanted to be all-in on this campaign. It is truly humbling to have a guy of Doug's stature in this industry want to put his stamp of approval on a campaign, and not just let us use his protein, but also help contribute to the cause with the $1 donation per jar," Ryan said.
Independence Cake will launch at the end of June and will be available through Labor Day weekend. Consumers can buy this online at FItButters.com or at retail stores that carry the FIt Butter line. FIt Butters and 'Merica Labz have committed to donating $1 per jar whether the product is purchased online or in a physical store.

This might be the most special thing I have had the chance to do since being in this space. On a podcast with Josh Schall I mentioned I didn't understand why more brands don't do this. I am not saying we're better than anyone else, but we are in a position to help raise money and awareness. Folds of Honor has been amazing, and we cannot wait to write them a big ass check. A huge thank you to Doug Miller at 'Merica Labz, and his whole team. This is truly a special moment for us.
