MuscleSport is getting into the functional food business. MuscleSport has announced that they will launch a high-protein cream filled whoopie pie called Protein Whoopie in three flavors.
If you're not familiar with a "whoopie" it is essentially an oatmeal cream pie with a top and bottom cookie/cake-like texture and a middle filled with cream.
The new MuscleSport Protein Whoopie will come in Monster Cookie, Protella and Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.

MuscleSport is heading into functional foods with a unique twist. Insert the Protien Whoopie. This high-protein food is meant as a snack, or an addition, to your daily diet but not to replace your normal meals.
MuscleSport Protein Whoopie Macros
Macros and taste are the two most important things when it comes to any kind of high-protein foods. It is important to note that this is not meant to be a meal replacement, but a better for you snack/treat.
Each Whoopie pie will contain 340 calories per cookie sandwich. Of that, users are getting 12-13g of fat, 35-38g of carbs and 20g of protein.
The protein sources in these new Whoopie cookies are a blend of collagen hydrolysate, whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate.
The protein source in the filling comes from whey protein concentrate.
The carbohydrate sources are coming from whole grain oats and rice flour.
Allulose is used in the filling, which is a high quality zero calorie sweetener.
The important thing to note is that these are made with margarine, eggs, etc as a traditional baked good.

Final Takeaway
