MuscleTech EUPHORiQ V2: The Premium Pre-Workout Just Got Better

MuscleTech EUPHORiQ Pre-Workout V2 Supplement Facts

MuscleTech has improved their EUPHORiQ pre-workout with bigger doses of Citrulline and added Betaine Nitrate, Senactiv and Yohimbine. The updates (and upgrades) position EUPHORiQ V2 to be the best pre-workout MuscleTech has ever launched. The new EUPHORiQ V2 will be available in Boogieman Punch, Grape Gainz, Rocket Pop and Strawberry Kiwi.

Citrulline – 6,000mg

Citrulline remains a staple ingredient in the V2 version of EUPHORiQ pre-workout from MuscleTech, but the brand has increased the dosage by 50%! The first version contained 4g of Citrulline, which is sufficient, but MuscleTech decided to bump it up to 6g per serving.

Citrulline is the precursor to Arginine in the body. When you consume Citrulline the body converts it to Arginine which then increases Nitric Oxide (NO) production. The increase in NO dilates the blood vessels allowing more blood flow into the muscles. This leads to a bigger pump, but also aids in muscle recovery, repair and growth.

Beta-Alanine – 3,200mg

Beta-Alanine is one of the most popular ingredients used in pre-workouts. This is why MuscleTech used it again here in version two. It is popular because it is well studies, well backed and it gives consumers a “feeling” that they know they just took a pre-workout. That feeling is called paresthesia, the tingling of the skin. This is not the primary benefit of Beta-Alanine.

Beta-Alanine actually can buffer lactic acid which may reduce muscle soreness. In turn, Beta-Alanine can improve muscular endurance allowing you to go longer in the gym.

The 3.2g serving size is acceptable.

Betaine Anhydrous – 2,500mg

Betaine Anhydrous is continued to be used at 2,500mg. Betaine has several benefits being used in a pre-workout formula. The biggest benefit of Betaine is its ability to enhance muscle endurance, strength, and power output. Betaine can also aid in hydration which is beneficial to any type of exercise.

Betaine Nitrate – 1,500mg

Betaine Nitrate is a new addition to the EUPHORiQ pre-workout. It is a combination of Betaine (see above for benefits) and exogenous nitrates. Betaine Nitrate is one of the most effective form of nitrates available for increasing blood flow. Much like Citrulline, nitrates increase the blood flow into the muscles. By increasing blood flow you improve exercise performance and recovery. 

The 1.5g dosage of Betaine Nitrate is a very nice add at a great dosage.

Tyrosine – 1,500mg

Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid that has been used in pre-workouts for its ability to improve cognition. Tyrosine has been shown to improve focus, clarity and improves exercise performance. In version one, MuscleTech used a dosage of 500mg. They have increased it by 300% to ensure you are getting an optimal dosage of Tyrosine.

Taurine – 1,000mg

Taurine is yet again used in the updated version of EUPHORiQ at a full gram dosage. Taurine can help improve exercise performance. It is a nice add as it combines well with the hydration matrix listed below. Taurine can help regulate electrolytes to aid in optimizing performance.

MuscleLyte™ Electrolyte Blend – 991mg

MuscleTech has added their electrolyte blend from their EAA formula. This is a nice add as it can aid in overall exercise performance ensuring proper hydration for your workout. Electrolytes pre-workout has been shown to improve your workout.

efinity (Paraxanthine) – 300mg

MuscleTech is the brand that championed Paraxanthine into the market. MuscleTech remains committed to Paraxanthine and has included it at the 300mg once again in version two.

Paraxanthine is a metabolite of caffeine. Caffeine is comprised of Paraxanthine (about 84%), Theobromine (12%) and Theophylline (4%). Paraxanthine is said to be the metabolite to provide the benefits of caffeine, but without the potential of negative side effects. This formula contains 300mg of Paraxanthine. To get that amount in caffeine you’d need approximately 357mg caffeine to yield 300mg Paraxanthine. 

Paraxanthine can enhance physical performance by increasing muscle contraction efficiency, improving endurance, and reducing perceived effort during exercise. In addition to providing “energy”, Paraxanthine can improve cognition and focus. Paraxanthine can also positively impact mood.

Alpha-GPC – 150mg

Alpha-GPC is one of the most reliable choline ingredients you can have in a product. It can cross the blood-brain barrier improving choline in the brain to aid with focus and clarity. The 150mg dosage is the minimum we’d like to see in a pre-workout, but combined with Paraxanthine and Tyrosine it should work well to improve cognition.

Senactiv – 50mg

Senactiv is a new addition to the EUPHORiQ pre-workout. Senactiv is from Nuliv Science. The ingredient has been shown to remove dead cells and regenerate new ones to aid in performance and recovery. Senactiv allows stem cells to migrate into active muscle, where they differentiate into new muscle cells. This improves exercise performance.

The 50mg dosage is the clinical dosage. 

Yohimbe Extract – 10mg

Version two of EUPHORiQ pre-workout utilizes the 10mg dosage of Yohimbine found in the FDM version. This is standardized to 6% Yohimbine. This means users are getting .6mg per serving of Yohimbine. This is enough for most people where it will elevate body temperature, potentially increase heart rate and increase that stimulatory effect making you more aware and alert. Yohimbine is typically used in fat burners but at lower dosages does provide a nice stimulant bump giving your more energy during your workout.

Huperzine A – 10mcg

Huperzine A is beneficial as it inhibits an enzyme that breaks down choline. It promotes the regulation of choline (think Alpha-GPC) from breaking down and allows acetylcholine levels to remain higher for a longer period of time.
