NutraBio has agreed to partner with Fitness Informant on a new YouTube documentary series called DR1VEN: The Journey To Center Stage.
DR1VEN: The Journey To Center Stage will give viewers a behind the scenes look inside the world of competitive bodybuilding. It will feature Fitness Informant CEO Ryan Bucki on his journey to compete for the very first time in his life. Ryan, 32, has never stepped foot on a bodybuilding building stage, but has been lifting like a bodybuilder since the age of 22. Ryan has always loved bodybuilding and the competitive spirit that goes with it, but had never committed to the stage until now.
For over two years I have had this idea of doing a bodybuilding show, but not just a show to do a show. I wanted to do a show, win the whole fucking thing and, in the process, film the journey so others can experience and understand what it is like in the world of bodybuilding.
NutraBio will be the featured brand in the documentary. The documentary will feature NutraBio supplements during the journey to center stage with educational pieces tied in.
When presented the opportunity to be the title sponsor of the project, NutraBio CEO Mark Glazier didn't hesitate.
The moment Ryan mentioned this project to me I offered him the full support of NutraBio. We have many customers that have considered competing but have no idea what they're getting into. This documentary will give them a realistic look into amateur bodybuilding and prepare them for the journey ahead of them. I absolutely love the concept and with Ryan at the helm, we can expect the same honest, no hold barred attitude he puts behind all of his projects. I'm really excited about it.
Competitive bodybuilders use sports nutrition products, but for the most part the general public are unaware of why they are being used. In the documentary, Ryan will explain the product selection and why he is using them during his quest to be the best.
I have the great pleasure of working with so many amazing brands at Fitness Informant. We had an opportunity to bring on one brand for this unique project. We had several brands show interest in the project, but ultimately could only pick one. It was important to me that it was a brand I can trust in, believe in and offered a plethora of products that will be beneficial while on prep, beyond the "popular" categories. I have been a fan of NutraBio's products even before I started FI. They bring the whole entire package to the table and give me the best chance to put myself in position to win.
DR1VEN will be an episodic YouTube documentary featuring 6-8 episodes approximately 12-15 minutes in length giving viewers a real and raw look inside the world of bodybuilding. The series will feature interviews with those involved in the process and guest appearances by accomplished bodybuilders like 4x Mr. Olympia champion Jay Cutler. Filming has already commenced on the project. The series is set to launch in the Spring of 2020.
Ryan will compete in a NPC sanctioned show in April/May in Light Heavyweight Bodybuilding with a potential chance at also competing in Classic Physique. If Ryan places top 3 at his regional show, he will advance to Junior Nationals in Chicago, IL. This would also be captured for the YouTube series.
Other names attached to the project are Ryan's coaches. Ryan has brought on Adam Bisek as his coach and Mike Gritti as his posing coach.
