Welcome to the dietary supplement industry Revive MD. Welcome. I know what you’re thinking, “oh great, another fricken supplement company.” Sure, that’s fair, but Revive MD is NOT just another fricken supplement company. In fact, I would argue that  isn’t your traditional supplement company at all. Revive MD is a health-based wellness company co-founded by worldly respected fitness coach Matt Jansen and Dr. Domenic Iacovone, a well respected figure in the fitness world and the hormone therapy world. What these two gentlemen bring to the table that most other companies do not is the experience and education needed to formulate products designed for those who want to take their internal organs and their hormone levels seriously.

Revive MD is not launching their brand with the popular sports nutrition products like a pre-workout supplement or a protein powder. Revive MD is focusing on the most important component of our overall health – our internal organs and hormone levels. Revive MD is for those who want to put their health as their #1 priority.

To understand the reasoning behind Revive MD, you need to understand who the people behind the brand are. One thing many of you reading this never get is a glimpse behind the scenes at those who create these products. Do the creators actually use the products? Do they actually believe that health should be the #1 priority? In the case of Revive MD, the answer is a resounding yes.

The founders of Revive MD are Matt Jansen and Dr. Dom Iacovone. The name Matt Jansen may sound familiar. Matt is a world known trainer who is best known for his work with Dallas McCarver. Matt also brought 5 athletes to the Olympia in 2018. Matt truly believes in health as your #1 priority as he works with some of the best bodybuilders on the planet, both male and female.

Matt’s athletes put their body’s through a lot while training for their shows, especially the Mr. Olympia. He understands the utmost importance of your overall health and wellness, especially your internal organs.

Dr. Dom Iacovone is best known for his work in endocrinology. Dr. Dom has his own medical facility called Revive Therapy & Wellness. They specialize in hormone therapy. With Dr. Dom’s knowledge in the space, he has quickly grown his practice into one of the largest HRT clinics in America in just under two years.

Dr. Dom equally knows the importance of health and wellness supplements as it pertains to your internal organs. Many serious lifters have elevated blood pressure and liver enzymes, for example. Dr. Dom recognizes this as he works with patients on a daily basis that suffer from these symptoms. Dr. Dom saw an opportunity to provide true dosed health and wellness supplements that actually work.

Matt and Dr. Dom saw a need in this space that they wanted to fulfill.

Revive MD was launched upon the realization that we are lacking a nutraceutical company that is specifically designed to deliver medical grade vitamins to elite athletes. So, do you still think they are going to be like every other supplement company? When we asked Matt and Dr. Dom about how they are different than the 800+ brands in the sports nutrition industry, they had a simple answer:

What makes Revive MD different than the other 800+ brands is everything. We are not in this business to compete with any sports supplement company. Our products are, and always will be, intended to take in conjunction with your favorite brand of BCAA, pre workout and protein.

Does this mean we won’t see a pre-workout or a BCAA from Revive MD? Maybe not, but that’s OK. This industry needs a brand who makes the best wellness supplements.

If Revive MD isn’t a supplement company, then how is it going to be different than other vitamin companies like Swanson or even NOW Foods? Again, the answer is pretty simple: clinical dosages.

Our formulations came strictly from clinical backing. Every ingredient in our kidney formula has had successful human clinical trials and are provided for anyone interested in reading them. The most important aspect of this is that not only are these ingredients in our formulas but they are at the clinical doses needed to produce results. This will be how we formulate every product we touch.

On the basis of education, let’s dive into the three product offerings they have.

Kidney Capsules

Your kidneys are one of the most important organs in your body. Kidneys are the organs that filter waste products from the blood. They are also involved in regulating blood pressure, electrolyte balance and red blood cell production in the body. Those of us in the sport of bodybuilding can have higher blood pressure based on our intensity, stims used or if they are using an exogenous steroid.

Revive MD products are not specifically designed for those on steroids, but they can benefit them. Then can benefit anyone who wants to put health as their #1 priority.

At first glance, Revive MD’s Kidney Capsules seems like a crazy dosage. The label states to take 4 capsules 3x daily for a total of 12 caps. Before you get scared think about whether you would rather have a convenient dosage only to not have nearly enough of any one ingredient to actually help or are you willing to sacrifice convenience for results? 

Kidney Capsules starts with 4g Organic Astragalus Powder. Astragalus has been shown to decrease proteinuria (excess protein in urine) caused by damage to the kidneys. The damage to the kidneys is typically caused by high blood pressure. In one report, Astragalus was shown to maintain stable levels of estimated glomerular filtration rate and delay the initiation of renal replacement therapy in patients with progressive chronic kidney disease stage 4.

Organic Beet Root Extract is used at 3g. In a review of studies, it was confirmed that Beet Root plays a major role in reduction of blood pressure (which can cause kidney failure). In another study on rodents, supplementation with Beet Root may have a protective effect against paraquat-induced acute kidney damage. Beet Root has many antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Grape Seed Extract is used at 1g. A study shows that grape seed extract improves renal failure (the last stage of chronic kidney disease aka kidneys fail) of chronic kidney disease patients. The study was done on human patients over a 6-month time period.

Pine Bark Extract has been shown to reduce blood pressure and improve kidney function. Per a study, pine bark extract also improved blood flow to the kidneys, reduced protein in the urine and lowered blood glucose levels. This was all done at 150mg per day. This is what we get with ReviveMD Kidney Capsules.

The last two ingredients, AstraGin and Bioperin are used to enhance absorption.

TUDCA

Tauroursodeoxycholic acid, more commonly referred to as TUDCA, is a bile salt that is found naturally occurring in the body.

Studies on TUDCA have shown it to prevent cholestasis (medical diagnosis for a disorder of the liver causing a stoppage or block in bile production) which can lead to jaundice. This is our go-to supplement for liver health. Even if you’re not on steroids, or you don’t consume alcohol, you should still take care of your liver health, and TUDCA is the ultimate source to do that.

On-top-of preventing cholestasis, TUDCA also has been shown to combat elevated liver enzymes. Those on anabolic steroids can suffer from elevated liver enzymes. This is another reason to take TUDCA for your liver health.

TUDCA is FDA-approved for treatment of liver diseases caused by lack of bile flow (cholestasis). A growing body of evidence is also supporting the use of TUDCA for diseases beyond the liver.

Recommended dosage of TUDCA depends on your ALT/AST Value. If you are in range, 250mg per day is great. If you are 60-85 you should take 500mg per day. Anything above 85 you should be at 750mg-1,000mg per day.

Your results will be given back to you within two days of that draw. If anything abnormal comes back on your panel you can schedule a free review with our in house medicals staff. 

Yes, they come to you! One of the biggest inconveniences of blood testing is going to a testing center and having to wait to get your blood drawn. With Revive MD, you are doing it all through them.
