Overview of REPP Sports R-PCT
REPP Sports burst onto the scene in early 2017 as a new supplement company featuring a portfolio of staple products: pre-workout, test booster, PCT, fat burner and a sleep aid. Built on the promise to use high quality ingredients and products free of harmful substances, REPP Sports has come a long way in a very short time.
R-PCT from REPP Sports is a fully transparent PCT product containing high quality ingredients at optimal doses that target the big thee: natural testosterone production, estrogen control and liver support. You get all of that at an extremely reasonable price.
Testing Results and Ratings
We reviewed REPP Sports R-PCT on four categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the ingredients used in the making of this cycle support product. We look into each ingredients effective use and determine if it was a quality selection for the product.
We then look at the dosage. Are they using the ingredients at effective doses? It’s one thing to select awesome ingredients, it’s another to make sure they are being dosed where they are meant to be effective.
We then look at effectiveness. This is generally an extension of the profile and dosage section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, dosage, and effectiveness in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of cycle support supplements available on the market.
Let’s start with the first “complex” of this product: Anabolic Test Amplifier. The first ingredient listed is Ashwagandha Root Extract. This is used in many test boosters. This is a performance enhancer and a stress reducer. The second ingredient Coleus Forskohii is known for its fat burning and testosterone booster capabilities. Mucana Pruriens is typicaly used to treat things like Parkinson’s Disease, but in this instance it helps fight against muscle fatigue and soreness. 5a Hydroxy Laxogenin is a plant based steroid (don’t get confused with a real steroid) that boosts protein synthesis. All these ingredients are solid for muscle-building capabilities.
The next ”complex” of R-PCT: Estrogen Control. The two ingredients here are DIM, an estrogen metabolizer and Ariministane, an aromatase inhibitor. Another solid two ingredients in a PCT.
Finally you get the third and important “complex” of R-PCT: Liver Support. There is only one ingredient here, N-Acetyl Cysteine. This allows your body to produce more glutathione which allows your liver to function more properly. There could be other ingredients listed here to make this complex more in-depth, but at least they address the liver.
Regarding the dosing of R-PCT the key ingredients are dosed nicely. Ashwagandha is typically dosed at 300-500mg (cost effective) and it still works. Coleus Forskohii, optimal levels, are at 500mg per day, this has 125mg per serving so it is under dosed in that area. There is not a lot of research on Mucana Pruriens for supplement use, but recommended at 5g for Parkinson’s, so we are unsure how this is dosed in this area. For 5a Hydroxy Laxogenin we typically see 25mg. We’ve seen this as high as 50mg (which we prefer) so we would like to see this higher. Research has shown that 100mg of DIM is effective, we get 200mg here. Arimistane is typically dosed at 25-50mg. We get 75mg. NAC is across the board on dosage depending on what it is being used for. We get 400mg here and I have seen everything from 200mg to 600mg so I feel this is appropriately dosed.
The purpose of a PCT is to get your body’s hormones back in line after you come off a cycle of a pro-hormone or any artificial production of testosterone. In this case I was not coming off any cycle, but wanted to use the PCT to see if it increased libido and sexual drive, along with muscle recovery. It did.
The inclusion of Arimistane at 75mg (one of the higher doses I have seen) does a great job at doing exactly that. I was also doing our 8-Week Lean Mass Program and did notice harder gains. Overall there wasn’t a huge, noticeable difference in body composition but you typically don’t see that.
This is one of the best PCTs I have seen at an affordable price. We’ve reviewed others here that have similar properties but are more expensive. Overall, based on the profile, effectiveness and dosage we feel that the price tag of $35 is completely justifiable. We will definitely be using this the next time we come off any cycle.
