We are back to talk about NutriFitt! After their launch of both Pre Fitt Carnage and Pre Fitt Vaso Fitt. Now that combo of products is awesome, well now we have another cool product to take a look at which was formulated with Rikki Rockett of Poison.
Post Roll is a post-workout recovery supplement, meant to reduce DOMS, inflammation, and body composition. It is a pretty straight-forward product, with the usual ingredients you'd expect, along with one that is quite interesting. Let's dive into Post Roll, and see how it stacks up.
Ingredient Profile
L-Glutamine – 5g
The first ingredient in Post Roll is Glutamine, which is a a common ingredient found in post-workout supplements and is a very popular standalone. While we are not big on Glutamine as a recovery agent, there is evidence of Glutamine being good for gut health, which is where we see it being beneficial.
You get 5 grams in Post Roll, which is a typical dose.
Dextrose – 5g
Dextrose is another common ingredient in post-workout supplements. It is a source of fast acting carbs (think sugar), and is quickly digested. This is to signal the body to release insulin, which is important for recovery.
There is no real “clinical dose” of Dextrose, but at 5 grams you are going to get a response.
BCAA (Leucine/Isoleucine/Valine) – 5g
Now we come to BCAAs, which are actually 3 separate amino acids. This is no surprise, as these are pretty much the most common ingredient in recovery supplements. To keep it simple, they kickstart MPS (muscle protein synthesis), and are the building blocks of protein. Leucine especially has been shown to increase MPS, which is why it is the highest dosed in here.
At 5 gram, you are getting a solid dose.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate – 1000mg
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT) is next ingredient, and it is nice to see in here. Carnitine is a common ingredient in fat burners as it helps by transporting fatty acids to be used as energy. While we are not the biggest fans of it for that, we do like LCLT. It actually has evidence showing it to be beneficial for recovery, so it makes sense to see it in here.
At 1 gram, you are getting a decent dose in here.
Hyaluronic Acid – 100mg
Hyaluronic Acid is a nice addition to Post Roll, and you see it in many skin health supplements, as well as joint health supplements. It is used for joints as it helps lubricate joints. Nice addition, as it is not just your muscles that need recovery, your joints need some attention as well.
At 100mg, you’re getting a solid dose.
AquaLOX® – 75mg
The next ingredient is a great one. AquaLOX is a source of Boswellia, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory. This source of Boswellia has a 70% standardization of Boswellic Acids, and is great to see in here.
At 75mg, it is dosed well.
AstraGin® – 25mg
AstraGin® is an ingredient from NuLiv, and is in a lot of ingredients these days. It may help with the absorption of certain ingredients, and it is nice to see in here.
At 25mg, it is dosed well in Pre Roll.
Final Takeaway
Pre Roll looks to be a straight-forward post-workout supplement, and we like the additions of LCLT, Hyaluronic Acid, and AquaLOX® especially. It has the usual ingredients which many already enjoy, such as BCAAs, so it is a good option for those that don’t want an overloaded formula. Bd sure to stay tuned for an official review on Pre Roll.
