BEAM Whey Protein: A Whey Protein With An Interesting Inclusion

BEAM is a new brand that is sure to make some noise. They have a great staff behind them with more than 30 years of experience in the supplement industry, a superb flavor system, and formulas that deliver.

Today, we are going to take a look at their Whey Protein, which although at its core is a simple product, has found a way to differentiate itself from the crowd. BEAM really has hit the ground runnin with their products, and we have certainly enjoyed the other products we’ve received from them. Their Vegan Protein is impressive, and their Pre-Workout is a very well-rounded formula.

How do you make a Whey protein different from the rest? Some brands try interesting flavors, some add extra enzymes for absorption, well BEAM added something unexpected, which we’ll get into..

BEAM Whey

Looking at the label, there isn’t too much to separate this protein from the competition. While the tub may stand out to some, it simply has “Whey Protein” in big lettering on the front of the label.

You also get some extra fiber from blueberries and apples, and BEAM even went ahead and included some digestive enzymes to aid in overall digestion. So BEAM took a simple product and made it more than just a simple protein powder.

BEAM Whey with Hydration

Now the most interesting addition of this product is the addition of AquaMin™. This is red algae that contains trace minerals, which are important for health, and they aid in overall hydration. To our knowledge, no other protein on the market has this as an inclusion, and we really like the addition. Especially post-workout, after you’ve build up quite a sweat, extra trace minerals can only help.

BEAM is Better Digestion

You also get some extra fiber from blueberries and apples, and BEAM even went ahead and included some digestive enzymes to aid in overall digestion. So BEAM took a simple product and made it more than just a simple protein powder. The enzymes in BEAM Whey include Amylase, Protease, Lactase, Lipase, and Cellulase.

BEAM Whey Protein Macros

The macronutrients per servings are as follows:

1g of Fat

4g of Carbohydrates (1 Fiber, 1 Sugar)

25g of Protein

This is a solid breakdown. There are slightly more carbs than a typical WPI, but it’s really nothing to worry about. The macros are great overall and this should fit in almost anybody’s diet.

BEAM’s Inclusion in FIt Butters

BEAM’s Salted Caramel Whey Protein Isolate is such good quality that it was included in two different FIt Butter formulations, Salted Caramel Pretzel Peanut Butter and Butterscotch Toffee Peanut Butter. The high quality whey protein isolate injects a nice salted peanut butter flavor into the butters, while maintaining the integrity of a high quality whey protein isolate.

Final Takeaway

Ryan: I choose BEAM's Salted Peanut Butter Whey in FIt Butters because they absolutely nailed the flavor, but mostly because of the quality of whey. No other WPI we use has the digestive enzyme complex that BEAM Whey does, nor the Aquamin (hydration complex). This is truly one of the better WPI's on the market today.

Gerhard: I have been using this product since before it was launched. BEAM nailed the chocolate flavor, and it is thoroughly enjoyable. The digestibility is great, and we’d have no problem recommending it to anyone in the market for some whey protein.
