Longtime Arnold Classic sponsor RedCon1 has officially ended its partnership with the Arnold Sports Festival. The decision came less than a week after Arnold's comments during an interview with CNN's Bianna Golodryga on Wednesday, August 11, 2021.

“There is a virus here. It kills people and the only way we prevent it is: get vaccinated, wear masks, do social distancing, washing your hands all the time, and not just to think about, ‘Well my freedom is being kind of disturbed here.’ No, screw your freedom," Schwarzenegger said.

RedCon1 CEO Aaron Singerman addressed the comments via video sent out to RedCon1 athletes. Singerman said that in good conscious, that the brand could no longer support the Arnold Sports Festival domestically and abroad.

In 2020, at the start of the COVID19 pandemic, Aaron Singerman appeared at the Arnold Classic in a commentating role as RedCon1 was the title sponsor.

It is unclear if the brand will prohibit their athletes from competing in the Arnold Classic event, but one thing is certain, RedCon1 will no longer attend.

Final Takeaway

From a brand standpoint and what RedCon1 markets, this makes complete sense. They have strong ties into Americana and the US military through their programs, charities and employees. This move will build more trust among their supporters. Just waiting to see if the Arnold responds back.
