Genetic Edge Compounds Reveals New Pre-Workout

By April 26, 2024May 17th, 2024No Comments
Genetic Edge Compounds LFL

Genetic Edge Compounds started as a brick and mortar only brand catering to the specialty retail sector of the industry. While the brand has surpassed over 500 business doors, they have done so without a "popularized" pre-workout. Insert the new LFL, LET'S F***G LIFT nootropic pre-workout.

Maybe what is most unique about LFL is the fact that Genetic Edge Compounds used a rub and sniff scent activation technology on the packaging that mimics the flavor system. While this is the most unique, it does not overshadow the formula, which will promote blood flow, focus and performance.

LFL will be Genetic Edge Compounds staple pre-workout with key ingredients used in formulation to help you perform better in the gym.

Genetic Edge Compounds LFL Pre-Workout

Genetic Edge Compounds LFL pre-workout was formulated to improve blood flow and aid in focus, alertness and clarity. LFL, LET’S F**K LIFT, is Genetic Edge Compounds “all in one” pre-workout featuring key ingredients used in formulation to improve your overall gym experience.

Genetic Edge Compounds LFL pre-workout is a 20-serving pre-workout fully and transparently dosed. Understanding each ingredient, their intention and the dosage is key when it comes to any supplement. Let’s take a look at the LFL formula.

L-Citrulline-DL-Malate – 6,000mg

Genetic Edge Compounds LFL SFPThe combination of Citrulline and Malic Acid has been a popular choice among formulators when it comes to improving blood flow. Citrulline Malate is used at a 2:1 ratio. What this means is you are getting two parts Citrulline to one part malic acid. What this means is you get 4g Citrulline per serving and 2g Malic Acid.

Citrulline is the precursor to Arginine in the body. This, in turn, improves the production of nitric oxide. This all means that you will have improved blood flow and bigger pumps. The 6,000mg dosage at the 2:1 ratio is what we want to see.

Beta-Alanine – 3,200mg

Beta-Alanine is the ingredient that put pre-workout on the map. It is the ingredient that gives you the “feels” or the “tingles”. This is called paresthesia. Beta-Alanine serves a larger purpose than just the tingles. It helps buffer lactic acid and can improve your performance in the gym by improving muscular endurance.

The typical dosage is 3,200mg-6,400mgg per serving.

Betaine Anhydrous – 2,500mg

Betaine Anhydrous is a common ingredient used in pre-workout supplements for the impact is has on strength, output and recovery. Betaine has been shown that it may aid in the general power output during your workout as well as prolong endurance.

The 2,500mg dosage is optimal.

L-Tyrosine – 1,500mg

Tyrosine is a non-essential amino acid that can improve your mental clarity and focus. Tyrosine is a precursor to several important neurotransmitters in the brain, including dopamine.

Tyrosine plays a role in the production of stress hormones like adrenaline and noradrenaline. Supplementing with tyrosine may help reduce the perception of stress and fatigue during exercise, allowing individuals to maintain intensity and endurance for longer periods.

The dosage of 1,500mg is sufficient.

Lion’s Mane – 500mg

Lion’s Mane is a mushroom with nootropic effects. Lion’s Mane contains compounds like erinacines and hericenones, which have been shown to promote nerve growth factor (NGF) production in the brain. Lion’s Mane may enhance focus, concentration, and mental clarity during workouts, helping you stay motivated and engaged.

Some research suggests that Lion’s Mane may have adaptogenic properties, meaning it could help the body adapt to and cope with stress. Other benefits include improved recovery, potential neuroprotective effects and GI support.

The typical dosage is 500mg.

Caffeine Anhydrous – 325mg

The big debate in pre-workouts is how much caffeine is optimal? While there is no “optimal” amount of caffeine, or stimulants for that matter, the sweet spot seems to be around 300mg. Genetic Edge Compounds LTL is dosed at 325mg. Caffeine Anhydrous is the fast acting caffeine source most widely used in pre-workouts.

Mucana Pruriens Extract – 250mg

Mucuna Pruriens is a natural source of L-dopa, a precursor to dopamine. Dopamine is often referred to as the “feel-good” neurotransmitter, and its levels can influence mood, motivation, and focus. By increasing dopamine levels, Mucuna Pruriens may help improve mood and motivation during workouts, leading to increased exercise intensity and adherence.

A common starting dosage for Mucuna Pruriens extract standardized to 15% L-dopa is around 500-1,000 mg per day.

Pink Himalayan Salt – 250mg

The use of salt pre-workout can improve cellular hydration for your workout. Many athletes will “salt their pre-workout” meaning adding additional salts to it for this reason. It may also help with a fuller look aka pump.

Pine Bark Extract – 200mg

Pine Bark Extract has been shown to promote vasodilation (widening of blood vessels) and improving blood flow. Enhanced blood circulation can benefit lifters by delivering more oxygen and nutrients to working muscles during exercise. This not only gives you a fuller look, but also may aid in overall performance.

While there is no established standard dosage for pine bark extract, typical recommendations range from 100 mg to 300 mg per day.

L-Norvaline – 150mg

Norvaline was once a very common ingredient used to help improve pumps in the gym. It has come under fire in recent years due to an in vitro study which showed it may have negative implications to brain health. Understand that in vitro methods is not how the human body actually work. In vitro means outside the body in a dish.

Norvaline has been shown to improve pumps by inhibiting Arginase, an enzyme that breaks down arginine. By inhibiting Arginase, Norvaline may help maintain higher levels of Arginine in the body, which is important for the production of nitric oxide (NO).

Typical dosages of norvaline found in supplements range from 100 mg to 300 mg per serving.

Theobromine – 100mg

Theobromine is a metabolite of caffeine. Theobromine has stimulant properties, albeit less potent than caffeine. It can increase heart rate and provide a slight energy boost, which may help improve alertness and motivation during workouts.

Theobromine has been shown to promote vasodilation, or the widening of blood vessels. This effect can improve blood flow, potentially enhancing nutrient delivery to muscles during exercise and aiding in recovery.

Like caffeine, theobromine may have mood-enhancing effects by increasing the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. Feeling positive and motivated can be beneficial for maintaining workout intensity and adherence.

Some research suggests that theobromine may increase fat oxidation, or the breakdown of fat for energy. While the evidence is limited, this effect could theoretically support weight loss efforts and improve body composition over time.

The 100mg dosage is typical in dietary supplements.

S7 – 50mg

S7 is a proprietary blend of seven plant-based ingredients developed by FutureCeuticals.

S7 is marketed as a blood flow agent. FutureCeuticals studies indicate that S7 may improve nitric oxide up to 230%. By improving blood flow you are getting a fuller pump, better endurance and reduced muscle fatigue.

S7 is derived from plant-based sources, making it a natural alternative to synthetic nitric oxide boosters. This may appeal to individuals seeking clean and natural supplements to support their fitness goals.

The 50mg dosage is the clinically studied dosage.

Senactiv – 50mg

Senactiv, from Nuliv Science, is marketed as a sports nutrition ingredient with potential benefits for exercise performance, recovery, and overall health.

Senactiv supports mitochondrial health. Supporting mitochondrial health is crucial for overall cellular function and energy production, especially during periods of increased metabolic demand such as exercise. This can improve overall endurance and performance. In addition, supporting mitochondrial health can also improve recovery.

Senactiv contains bioactive compounds derived from Panax notoginseng and Rosa roxburghii, which possess antioxidant properties. These antioxidants help combat oxidative stress induced by exercise, reducing the risk of cellular damage and supporting overall health and longevity.

The 50mg dosage is the acceptable dose.

AstraGin – 50mg

AstraGin, also from Nuliv Science, helps improve the absorption of active ingredients. It also may have other health benefits like gut health support.

The 50mg dosage is the clinically studied dosage.

Rauwolscine – 2mg

Rauwolscine, also known as Alpha-Yohimbine, is chemically similar to Yohimbine and is often marketed as a dietary supplement for various purposes, including weight loss and workout performance.

Rauwolscine is a stimulant that may increase alertness, energy levels, and focus, which could potentially enhance workout performance by promoting motivation and reducing perceived exertion.

Rauwolscine may increase lipolysis (the breakdown of fat) and mobilize stored fat for energy. In addition, it may suppress appetite. This is why it is often marketed as a fat burner.

Rauwolscine can cause side effects such as increased heart rate, elevated blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, gastrointestinal discomfort, and dizziness. Individuals with cardiovascular issues, anxiety disorders, or other medical conditions may be particularly sensitive to these effects.

A dosage of 2mg is a good starting point, especially given the potential side effects.

Huperzine – 100mcg

Huperzine is a common ingredient used in pre-workout supplements for its impact on focus, mood and clarity. It’s primarily known for its potential cognitive-enhancing effects and is often used to support memory, focus, and overall brain health.

Huperzine A is a reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, meaning it helps prevent the breakdown of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in cognitive function. By increasing acetylcholine levels in the brain, Huperzine A may improve focus, concentration, and mental clarity during workouts, helping individuals stay engaged and motivated.

By improving cognitive function, you can obtain a better mind-muscle connection. This is important to concentrate on the task at-hand and get your workout done and done right.

The 100mcg dosage is a typical dosage in pre-workouts.

The new LFL from Genetic Edge Compounds was designed to improve blood flow, enhance mental clarity and concentration and improve your overall workout experience. LFL will be available in two flavors, Grape Citrus and Dragon Fruit.

Final Takeaway on Genetic Edge Compounds Pre-Workout

Overall this is a solid formula with a focus on two of the most important aspects of your workout: pump and focus. I like the use of 325mg caffeine. In addition, you will get 2mg of Alpha-Yo which that combination may hit some folks hard. The dosing on all ingredients is nice and we are looking forward to giving this one a run!
