Testing Results and Ratings
We reviewed Inspired Nutraceuticals Greens on five categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at quality of greens and fruits (if used) used, amount and other ingredients involved in the making of this greens powder.
We then look at effectiveness. A high quality greens powder will be effective. This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.
Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out Natural Flavor.
Mixability refers to how well the greens powder mixes in the directed amount of water. We use the official Fitness Informant Cyclone Cup for this test.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of greens powders available on the market.
Ingredients Profile
Greens formulas are underrated. Greens formulas that feature more than just greens are just amazing. Now we realize this may not be sexy to a bodybuilding, but it is necessary. Greens with pre and probiotics is a solid choice for gut health and overall gains.
The formula starts with a 5 billion CFU probiotics. This is great for your digestive system and gut health. Probiotics on the market today can go up to 50 billion CFUs or more, with various strands, but to have this in a greens formula is amazing.
We also get prebiotics! We get 2.5g of Inulin as prebiotic fiber. This is actually used in the food industry quite a bit (look at your granola bar labels or protein bar labels) to drive down the net carbs.
The first matrix we get is the Greens + Super Foods matrix. We get 2g of TruServe Organic Greens blend from FutureCeuticals. This is equal to one serving of green vegetables. One FULL serving! The next is Chlorella powder at 1g. Chlorella is a type of algae that research shows that it could help shuttle toxins out of your body and improve cholesterol and blood sugar levels. The next ingredient is Spirulina Powder at 1g. This is also a form of algae that is high in anti-oxidants. Aquamin, a staple in Inspired Nutraceuticals products, is used at 500mg. Aquamin is a type of seaweed with multiple vitamins and minerals.
We then get into the Adaptogenic Support. We get 1g of Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha has been shown to improve natural testosterone levels and decrease cortisol levels through the alleviation of stress and anxiety. This is a strong dosage (we see it typically at 600mg). Maca Powder is used at a full gram as well. This can increase libido in users. In a greens powder to have a full gram is awesome.
The Neuro Support matrix includes three solid ingredients. We start with a gram of Sunflower Lecithin. Sunflower Lecithin is essentially used to send nourishment to your brain for neuro function. It can also help support your central nervous system. Next we get the increasingly popular mushroom Lion’s Mane at 500mg. Lion’s Mane is a type of nootropic that boosts cognitive functionality. It is dosed between 500mg-1,500mg per day, up to 3x per day. Lastly we get Ginkgo Biloba at 100mg. Ginkgo Biloba aids in memory function. Dosage ranges from 100mg-250mg up to 3x per day.
The last matrix is the Liver Support matrix. We start with Stinging Nettle at 300mg. This can actually help with a healthy prostate and liver function. Dandelion Extract is used at 100mg. This can help detoxify the liver and support healthy liver function. The last ingredient is Milk Thistle at 100mg, commonly used to help with liver enzymes and health.
Overall we are very impressed with this formula. It is not just greens and superfood, but so much more. The dosages are solid, some being way over, and some being right there…but we cannot fully expect full dosages of every key ingredient, but having hefty dosages like Inspired Nutraceuticals Greens does helps a lot. This is the best greens formula on paper in the industry today.
Effectiveness
In case you were wondering, you won’t have a crazy feeling of effectiveness with the Greens product. You will have better bowel movements and digestion. You won’t have discomfort or bloating. The area in which you don’t feel are the general health benefits of a stronger immune system due to the increase in anti-oxidants that this formula gives you. The addition of the probiotics is really what we loved about this product as it was very noticeable how much better our digestive system felt. Using Inspired Nutraceuticals Greens should lead to less discomfort and bloating.
Taste
Natural Flavored:
We weren’t sure what to expect with this. There is no flavor, but they use Monk Fruit to sweeten it. It was actually fine. It isn’t tasty like a fruit-forward pre-workout or BCAA, but that is OK, because it is more natural this way. Yes, there are earthy notes to this for sure, but it isn’t so bad that you cannot drink it. The benefit outweighs the taste with this. You can taste the “greens” but again, it is not overbearing.
Mixability
Inspired Nutraceuticals Greens mixes very well, but the ingredients get suspended into water and dissolved. You will have the ingredients fall to the bottom of the shaker, so it is important that you constantly shake it up to ensure you are getting all of your greens that you mixed in your mixer. We used the FI Cyclone Cup and it worked well for mixing it up, just that you do need to continue to mix as you drink. There is no clumping or anything remotely close to that.

Value
Gut health and general health tends to be overlooked by the bodybuilding crowd. So to spend $45 on 30-servings seems like a lot, but it isn’t. A probiotic supplement alone can be spendy, we get 5 billion CFUs in this, plus optimal dosages of key greens and superfoods. The support system for your brain and liver are also huge boosts. This is the best greens formula that we’ve ever used. A $45 price tag is completely worth it.
