POST HAK is the second supplement by HAK Nutrition that follows up their PRE HAK. POST HAK contains nine active ingredients all proven to aid in muscle recovery. With a great dosage of BCAAs and L-Glutamine POST HAK is a great product to put into your supplement cupboard. Ingredients Profile
[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]When you think of a post workout/muscle recovery product you want to look for several key ingredients: BCAAs, L-Glutamine and creatine. POST HAK from HAK Nutrition has all three and then some extras as well!
POST HAK contains a size and strength matrix which is something you’d typically see in a pre-workout. It contains L-Citrulline DL-Malate, betaine anhydrous, L-Carnintine and creatine. The creatine used is creatine HCL which studies have shown absorbs quicker than creatine monohydrate thus not needing as much. This packs in 2g. Although some of these ingredients are probably not needed in a post workout it is nice that they are included. The L-Carnitine and L-Citrulline DL-Malate reduces fatigue while increasing metabolism.
The bread and butter of this supplement is the recovery component. POST HAK contains 6g of 3:1:1 BCAAs. The added Leucine aids in muscle recovery. In fact, Leucine is like the key that starts the muscle recovery process. You also get 3g of L-Glutamine which has been proven to speed up recovery among other positive effects. It also contains cherry tart powder which is an anti-inflammatory (480mg). Effectiveness

For me, when taking POST HAK, I worked out with high intensity. POST HAK helped reduce the inflammation of my muscles which reduced delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). I know this because prior to POST HAK I was feeling some adverse effects from some of my lifts. If anything I increased my intensity from that moment in time. I also reduced my intake of aminos from other sources. Unlike a pre-workout, I drink my post-workout drinks slowly so taste is important. Mixability

With that being said I did talk with the president of HAK Nutrition and he informed me before even taking the product that there was an issue with the manufacturer with the cherry tart not being micronized thus causing a bad mixability product. HAK Nutrition has insured me that this has been resolved with the manufacturer. For $35 at the HAK Nutrition website you can get this 25-serving tub.
