Alpha Lion GAIN-O-RADE

Alpha Lion is set to launch another new product on September 23rd called GAIN-O-RADE, a full spectrum amino acid product with a hydration complex. GAIN-O-RADE is a rebrand and a reformulation version of their popular amino product called Unicorn Aminos.

GAIN-O-RADE, obviously, is a play on the popular sports drink Gatorade. However, GAIN-O-RADE provides the benefits of muscle recovery and hydration without the added sugars you get from the popular sports drink.

GAIN-O-RADE is set to launch with two flavors: Grapemelon Gains and Legday Limeade.

GAIN-O-RADE labelThe label on GAIN-O-RADE looks impressive. GAIN-O-RADE will feature a full spectrum of amino acids including, per 2 scoops, 6g 2:1:1 InstaAminos BCAAs and 4g of EAAs (all six of the others) for a total of 10g of amino acids. This is a big dosage of aminos as you compare it to the competitive set.

On top of the aminos, Alpha Lion is tossing in several ingredients that will aid in hydrations. They use 2g Taurine to help with electrolyte regulation. Raw Coconut Water Powder is dosed at 1g, versus the popular 500mg (although you can get 500mg with only one scoop). Calci-K, an electrolyte, is used at 500mg. Lastly, Alpha Lion elected to use the algae, AquaMin, at 250mg. Like many of the Alpha Lion products, an absorption agent in Astragin is used.

GAIN-O-RADE is set to launch on the company’s official website on Monday, September 23rd.

Fitness Informant's POV

I told the Alpha Lion team that I do really like this label. I look at a lot of amino acid products. Many that do a "full spectrum" will give you 5g BCAA and then maybe 1g of the other EAAs (or leave one of the six out) to give you a total of 5g BCAAs. Now, with GAIN-O-RADE, you can turn this into a 40+ serving unit getting 3g BCAA and 2g EAA and that is even better than some of the competitors on the market.

The nice thing with GAIN-O-RADE is you can determine what serving size is right for you. If you can get by with one scoop, which is still good on the label, you will get a total of 42-servings per unit which will aid in value and cost. Sign-up above for an alert when this becomes available.
