Alpha Lion has officially brought-to-market their third flavor of their highly rated amino acid product Gain-O-Rade. The newest flavor, Tropic Thunder, a tropical pineapple juice flavor, will join Leg Day Limeade and Grapemelon Gains.
Gain-O-Rade was launched in 2019 as a reformulation of Alpha Lion’s previous amino acid product. The reformulated lead to Gain-O-Rade being ranked in our best amino acid products of 2020.
Gain-O-Rade features both EAAs and BCAAs. The formula touts 6g BCAAs and 4g of other EAAs. You also get 2g Taurine, 1g Coconut Water Powder and 250mg Aquamin.

We got the chance to try this one out when G was at the FI HQ. It is OK. It is not the best of the three flavors. We would have liked to taste more pineapple. It was more of a "sweet pineapple" without a ton of taste. Alpha Lion is typically big on bold flavors, this one didn't hit that mark. It is not bad, but I would rank both Legday Limeade and Grapemelon Gains as better choices.
