Core Nutritionals Lifeline Heart: Keep Your Organ Pumping Healthily

RYSE

Core Nutritionals is a brand that many hold in high regard. They are known for their loaded formulas, flavoring, efficacious dosages, and simply being a great brand all around. They are certainly regarded as one of the best brands when it comes to sports nutrition.

Recently, Core Nutritionals launched a new line of supplements. The new line is called Lifeline, which is more geared towards health and wellness, instead of performance at the gym. In an industry filled with over-caffeinated pre-workouts, overhyped fat burners, and sketchy fat burners, Core is here to remind you that you are human, and you need to take care of yourself.

Today we are looking at Heart, which of course is a product meant to aid with heart health. Let’s take a look at what we get in Heart, and how it may help you.

Ingredient Profile

Hawthorn Berry Extract – 1000mg

Hawthorn Berry may be one of the first ingredients that come to mind when it comes to blood flow. Hawthorne has a wide range of benefits, including being beneficial for inflammation, blood pressure, supporting healthy cholesterol levels, and digestive health.

One double-blind study actually showed that Hawthorn was beneficial at lowering systolic and diastolic blood pressure after 10 weeks of use.

Certainly a nice addition to Core Heart, and at 1 full gram of the extract, you are getting a good amount.

Olive Leaf Extract – 1000mg

Olive Leaf Extract is a popular ingredient for heart health, and is actually quite common.  Olive Leaf Extract is a natural source of Oleuropein, the active compound in Olive Leaf Extract that provides all of the benefits.

Olive Leaf Extract has been shown to be beneficial for lowering blood pressure. One study was done on subjects with stage 1 hypertension. Olive Leaf Extract was dosed at 500mg, twice a day in one group, while the other group received 12.5mg of Captopril daily.

After 8 weeks, Olive Leaf Extract was shown to be as effective as Captopril at lowering blood pressure, and unlike Captopril, was shown to reduce triglyceride levels.

The studied dose is 500mg, twice per day. You are getting 1000mg in heart, which is a clinical dose.

Bergamot Fruit Extract – 500mg

This is one of our favorite ingredients here on Fitness Informant, Citrus Bergamot! Why add Citrus Bergamot? Well let’s take a look.

In a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study done on 98 older adults, 500mg of Citrus Bergamot was shown to be effective at lowering LDL cholesterol levels.

The study also showed that Citrus Bergamot may also be beneficial for improving fasting blood glucose levels.

In a similar study, Citrus Bergamot was shown to pretty much do the same thing over 6 months, however this study used even less Citrus Bergamot.

You get 500mg of Citrus Bergamot Extract in Core Nutritionals Lifeline Heart, which is a solid dose

Curcumin (95% Curcuminoids) – 500mg

Curcumin is a popular ingredient, and while many think of it as an anti-inflammatory, it also has some heart health benefits. You will most likely find it in joint health supplements like Core Soothe for example, however there is actually some data backing it for heart health as well.

According to a study, Turmeric has been shown to increase nitric oxide levels in doses as low as 80mg.

At 500mg at a 95% standardization, you are getting a solid dose.

Polygonum Cuspidatum (50% Trans-Resveratrol) – 500mg
