The largest recall in the history of the dietary supplements has left the industry shaken, but also confused. A report by BusinessWire reported that ABH Nature’s Products, ABH Pharma & Stocknutra.com, a contract manufacturer, had been indicted by the FDA due to multiple violations of CFR111. These violations were neither address or corrected. Due to the incompetence of ABH, many brands find themselves in hot water in the public eye.
Over 850 brands were listed on a nationwide recall document, including a brand we work with here at Fitness Informant in Muscle Feast. A call was placed to Muscle Feast for an explanation. The brand didn’t even realize they were on the list, and were unfamiliar with any business conducted with ABH. A representative from the brand returned our call after some investigation and determined a test run was conducted on CLA several years ago, but never made it to market because it did not meet their spec.
Muscle Feast is one of the first brands to address the report and their brand’s credibility. CEO Sean Gillespie indicated in the public response the exact same thing that was told to Fitness Informant. Due to Muscle Feast having anything produced at the ABH facility, even though the product was destroyed and not sold, they find their name on the list.
This can be an indicator of many brands who have found themselves on the list. We believe a better understanding of a brand’s involvement with ABH is needed before we judge a brand.

Fitness Informant's POV
Kudos to Muscle Feast for coming out and getting ahead of this. After the conversation on the phone with them I was perplexed why they would be on here, and the fact that they were can be damaging to their brand's reputation. I am happy to hear that the product was never sold.
We have spoke to several other brands that were found on this list and their explanations are similar. Some had samples done, a single flavor, or a small run as a start-up. More to come on this story.
