We are back to talk about NutriFitt! After their launch of both Pre Fitt Carnage and Pre Fitt Vaso Fitt. Now that combo of products is awesome, well now we have another cool product to take a look at.
Pre Rock is a non-stim pre-workout meant to aid with pumps, performance, and endurance. It was a pre workout formulated in collaboration with Rikki Rockett, drummer for the rock band Poison. It is a product that we would suggest be stacked with a stim-based pre-workout, which is kind of what NutriFitt goes for. This is not a review, just an initial Quick Hit.
Ingredient Profile
L-Citrulline – 4g
The first ingredient in Vaso Fitt is Citrulline, which is no surprise to see in a pump product. Citrulline has quite a few benefits, although it is most known for being good for pumps. Citrulline converts to Arginine in the body, which is a precursor to Nitric Oxide. Arginine on its own does not absorb very well, which is why brands use Citrulline.
You get 4 grams in Pre Rock, which is a solid dose.
Beta-Alanine – 2g
Beta-Alanine is another staple in pre-workouts, and for good reason. It has a lot of evidence showing it to be great for endurance. An easy way to put it is that it buffers lactic acid. Behind Creatine, it is one of the more well-studied ingredients in supplements
At 2 grams, we’d like to see it just a little higher.
Peak O2® – 1g
The next ingredient in Pre Rock is Peak O2, which is an ingredient from Compound Solutions. Peak O2 is a patented mushroom blend that has been shown to aid with endurance by increasing your VO2 max. It is a saturation ingredient that should be taken every day.
At 1 gram, you are getting a solid dose.
Nitrosigine® – 750mg
Nitrosigine® is one of our favorite ingredients here on FI. It is a patented ingredient from Nutrition21®, and has been shown to be better than Citrulline at including pumps.
We like to see this at 1.5 grams, and Pre Rock has 750mg, which is the minimum.
Betta Berries™ – 200mg
Betta Berries is a trademarked ingredient that is a source of antioxidants. This blend is rich in nutrients such as resveratrol, vitamin C, and anthocyanidins.
At 200mg, you’re getting a solid dose.
AstraGin® – 25mg
AstraGin® is an ingredient from NuLiv, and is in a lot of ingredients these days. It may help with the absorption of certain ingredients, and it is nice to see in here.
At 25mg, it is dosed well in Pre Rock.
Final Takeaway
While not the most loaded non-stim pre-workout on the market, it still is a viable option. We love the addition of some ingredients such as Peak O2, Citrulline, and Nitrosigine®. The flavor is quite good for a product that contains Peak O2, which is notoriously difficult to mask. While as a standalone we could nitpick at certain ingredients not being at their full doses, as a stackable non-stim, it is a solid option.
