Performax Labs has had EAmino Max for quite some time, and they are always striving to make it the best that they can. EAmino Max has always been a solid product formula, but with slight tweaks over the years Performax Labs has always made it a must-try product.

As we look at the supplement facts panel, we are going to look at it from the 2-scoop perspective (20-servings):

EAA Blend – 10g

This is a mega dosage of EAAs. This also contains the three BCAAs at the 2:1:1 ratio for a total of 8g of BCAA. There are a total of nine essential amino acids, all nine are included in EAmino Max.

EAAs are beneficial when fasted (or even not fasted) to help increase MPS (muscle protein synthesis). This, in turn, can speed up recovery and repair contributing to optimal performance, muscle growth and potential weight loss (more muscle = faster metabolism). A 10g dosage is a big dosage that we do not see very often.

Velositol – 2,000mg

Velositol comes to us from Nutrition 21. Velositol was created to help increase MPS. Studies suggest that using 2,000mg of Velositol can double the power of protein (amino acids). They studied 15g of protein with 2g of Velositol and it provided MPS to the same extent as 30g protein alone. The reason Velositiol is used in an EAA formula is essentially the same. Proteins are made up of amino acids. By using Velositol in this formula it can also significantly increase MPS over EAAs alone.

SenActiv – 50mg

SenActiv from Nuliv Science is a great ingredient that has multiple benefits. Senactiv works by replacing senescent cells (cells that no longer divide but are not dead) with new muscle cells. This aids in overall performance and recovery.

Senactiv has been shown to improve exercise endurance, improve muscular energy, improves recovery and helps build more muscle.

Taurine – 2,000mg

Taurine is a key ingredient used to help improve exercise performance through the regulation of electrolyte. The new EAmino Max from Performax Labs really is a pre/intra-workout powder that can aid in overall repair, recovery and hydration. Performax Labs includes 2g of Taurine to aid in hydration to improve overall performance.

Coconut Water Powder – 1,000mg

Coconut water powders has been used in hydration formulas and intra-workouts to help with hydration. We typically see 500mg dosage to the 1,000mg dosage is higher than normal, which is a good thing.

Pink Himalayan Salt – 250mg

The addition of salts in an intra-workout product (or hydration product) is to increase electrolytes and improve hydration. The 250mg dosage of pink salt in this formula is small, but it can aid in overall cellular hydration.

Potassium Chloride – 250mg

Potassium Chloride are electrolytes. The addition of these, salt and Taurine can help maintain proper hydration before, during and after exercise.

Final Takeaway on EAmino Max

I like the formula. I think getting a full 10g dosage of EAAs with the majority coming from the 2:1:1 BCAA ratio is smart. The add of Velositol is nice to see for improving and increasing MPS. I do really like SenActiv used here for overall cell regeneration and performance. The small electrolyte add is a nice touch, but as mentioned earlier this is not meant to be a hydration supplement, it just has hydration benefits.
