Earlier this month we revealed that RedCon1 was launching a new hydration product called Canteen in three flavors. Those flavors are Orange Crush, Strawberry Lemonade and Cherry Lime Blast. At that time those were the only details known.
Fitness Informant has obtained the full label on the new Canteen that we are going to reveal here. The main formula consists of Dextrose, Taurine, Coconut Water Powder and Hyaluronic Acid. Dextrose at 5g is a carb source presumably being used to provide a source of energy. Taurine is a electrolyte regulating compound which we see a lot in conjunction with electrolytes like potassium citrate and magnesium citrate. Coconut Water Powder is used at 1g, which is a good dose of a popular hydration compound. Hyaluronic Acid at 100mg is a unique ingredient not seen often. It is used a lot for dry skin (in creams) but has hydration affects.
RedCon1 had re-formulated their Breach amino acid product which once contained Taurine and Coconut Water Powder. It seems like the reason behind that was to reduce the price point on Breach (from $29.99 to $19.99) and become a straight BCAA product which also allowed them to launch Canteen.
No word on when this will be available, but we have to assume before Black Friday 2020.

Final Takeaway
I am not upset that RedCon1 reformulated Breach. I think it was actually a good idea to create a value-based 2:1:1 BCAA while allowing them to hop on the electrolyte trend that we've seen recently in the space. We have yet to try Canteen but the flavors sound great.
