By May 8, 2020September 15th, 2020No Comments

Did you know that 1 in 4 people die of heart disease every year, which equates to about 610,000 people? While exercise and a healthy diet are going to be your best bet for a healthy heart, sometimes it helps to add something to keep you levels in check.

Revive MD Lipid

Revive MD Lipid is a comprehensive heart health product. We say this all the time, Revive MD is the brand you should be spending your money on if you actually care about your health.

Revive MD Lipid LabelBeta-Sitosterol – 2g

Beta-Sitosterol is already a popular supplement. It is usually used for prostate health, and is actually quite beneficial for that. It also happens to be beneficial for cardiovascular health as well.

To keep is simple, Beta-Sitosterol is a Phytosterol, and is similar to cholesterol, and may aid in lowering LDL cholesterol levels. Beta-Sitosterol is commonly found in plant foods such as bran, peanuts, and soybeans.

At 2 grams, it is dosed well in Revive MD Lipid.

Citrus Bergamot Extract 10:1 – 1.5g

This is one of our favorite ingredients here on Fitness Informant. Citrus Bergamot

FIt Butters

In a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study done on 98 older adults, 500mg of Citrus Bergamot was shown to be effective at lowering LDL cholesterol levels. The study also showed that Citrus Bergamot may also be beneficial for improving fasting blood glucose levels.

In a similar study, Citrus Bergamot was shown to pretty much do the same thing over 6 months, however this study used even less Citrus Bergamot.

You get 1.5g of Citrus Bergamot Extract in Revive MD Lipid, which is more than enough!

Pantethine – 1g

Pantethine is a derivative of Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) and is commonly used for lowering cholesterol.

In a triple-blind, placebo-controlled, diet-controlled study, subjects were given either a placebo, or 600mg of Pantethine (weeks 1-8), and then 900mg (weeks 9-16). At weeks 4,8,12, and 16, LDL cholesterol levels were lowered by 11% from baseline, while the placebo group experienced a 3% average decrease.

At 1g per serving, you are getting plenty of Pantethine.

Artichoke Extract – 500mg

Next up, we have Artichoke Extract. This isn’t as common as some other ingredients in Lipid, but there is some research showing it may be mildly beneficial for lipid levels. It also seems to have some benefits for lowering blood sugar levels as well.

Not only may Artichoke have benefits for your cardiovascular health, it may also be good for your liver. Research shows that Artichoke may be hepatoprotective, and may help your liver cells regenerate.

While more research needs to be done for Artichoke, at 500mg, it is dosed well.

Resveratrol (std. 20% Trans-Resveratrol) – 200mg

Resveratrol is a very popular ingredient for the purpose of heart health. If you ever hear people say that a glass of wine at night may be beneficial for heart health, it may be true, as red wine is rich in Resveratrol.

According to a study, Resveratrol may be beneficial for blood flow and promote vasodilation. This study was done on 22 healthy adults, and was a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study.

At 200mg, it is dosed well in Revive MD Lipid.

Bilberry Fruit Extract – 100mg

Lastly, we have Bilberry Fruit Extract at 100mg. Bilberry is a fruit that looks very similar to the American Blueberry.

Bilberry is already a somewhat popular supplement, and it’s nice to see in Lipid. It is usually used for eye health, although there is only so much research supporting it for that purpose.

As for heart health, Bilberry has a solid study that showed significant results after one week of supplementation. Results of the study showed a significant increase in HDL cholesterol levels, as well as improved blood pressure.

Final Takeaway

Revive MD’s Lipid is just another solid product to add to their line. With great additions such as Citrus Bergamot, Beta-Sitosterol, and Pantethine, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be supplementing with Lipid if you’re spending your money on stim-loaded pre-workouts.

With how important your heart is to your body, you should do your best to make sure you are taking care of it. While exercise and a healthy diet are great, it always helps to get your blood markers checked and see if you could be working to make it better. Remember, if you don’t take care of it now, you may be forced to later,
