We try to keep that in-mind when we review their line of products.

Maxx Protein from APN is a grass-fed whey protein isolate with the inclusion of Velositiol for accelerating muscle protein synthesis. Overall, the protein is an OK tasting WPI. The fact that it is grass-fed doesn’t necessarily make it more valuable, as the jury is still out on protein powders and grass-fed claims. However, when priced correctly, this can be a nice choice of protein among those of you who like clean isolates and believe in grass-fed protein powders.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/hEs_3lMouSw” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” bg_color=”#2e2e2e” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_color_hover=”#ffffff” background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”medium_depth” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_color=”#000000″ column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-arrow-right” color=”Accent-Color”]

Why You Should Trust Our Reviews

  • EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
  • INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
  • 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at quality of protein used, amount and other ingredients involved in the making of this protein powder.

We then look at effectiveness. A high quality protein will be effective. This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the Vanilla flavor.

Mixability refers to how well the protein powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of proteins available on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Ingredients Profile

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I need to give kudos to APN for being fully transparent on their protein dosing in this. They use WPI90 (isolate) at 27.8g yielding 25g of protein per serving. The protein used is grass-fed whey protein isolate (there is no evidence that we can find at this time that makes grass-fed protein powder superior to regular protein powder – but they are not charging a price premium for this so we will take it!). A solid selection of an isolate protein. This is instantized with sunflower lecithin.

Sunflower Lecithin has numerous benefits including cholesterol level controls, brain and liver health, antioxidant, arthritis and more.

It also includes 2g of Velositol. Velositol, according to Nutrition 21, accelerates and boosts muscle protein synthesis when combined with protein. It is also said to double the power of protein, a big claim. This also contributes to the overall carbs of the protein powder, something that I find too high for an isolate.

Here are the macros:

Fats: 0.4g
Carbs: 7g
Protein: 25g

Overall, APN Maxx Protein has a solid ingredient deck. It is simple with protein accounting for 76% of the serving. There is too many carbs for an isolate against the competition, but it’s due to the use of Velositol.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”5077″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Effectiveness

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Protein isolates are great if you’re competing (watching carbs) or have issues with lactose. They are the quickest absorbing and digesting proteins on the market. With Maxx Protein, since the ingredient deck is so well done, you know it is an effective protein. I like the addition of Sunflower Lecithin as well.

A lot of people get stomach bloat from protein powders. You shouldn’t get it from Maxx Protein, I didn’t. This is a good thing, especially since most of us consume our powders post-workout.

Overall, a good, effective protein.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Taste

Vanilla: (7/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Vanilla is always an interesting flavor. I never really have found one that is out-of-this world special. The best vanilla I have had was Vanilla Cake Batter, which technically isn’t a vanilla.

The fact that this is grass-fed should have nothing to do with the flavor. It was OK. It wouldn’t be a flavor I would seek out. The nice thing is that this is only available in a 2lb tub, so you can burn through it pretty quick.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Mixibility

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Maxx Protein mixes very well. This is expected with an isolate. Isolates typically can be stirred into water with a spoon (the good ones can). This isolate was dissolved in water via Blender Bottle. Check out our video for a mixability test. I am sure you will agree that it mixes very well.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Value

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Maxx Protein is a grass-fed whey protein isolate available in a 2lb container. You would typically see this priced close to $50 – leveraging grass-fed for a price premium. Maxx Protein retails for $40 for a 2lb tub. This is in-line with normal whey protein isolates. If you’re a fan of grass-fed, and like the use of Velositol, then this is a solid value for you. We just wish there were more flavors to choose from.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][heading]Available at these Fitness Informant approved retailers:[/heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_style=”solid”][tabbed_section style=”default” alignment=”left”][tab title=”2-LBS” id=”1509114502646-0d5a3-7611″ tab_id=”1509806930603-9″][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” top_padding=”10″ bottom_padding=”10″ text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1509116724210{background-color: #2e2e2e !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]  PRICE COMPARISON:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/tab][/tabbed_section][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” centered_text=”true” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” centered_text=”true” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Most, if not all, of those supplements would be touted from us as beginner supplements because of their lower than clinical recommended dosages. They are great at marketing, and use that to continue to get more people to try the brand.

Clyde is one of their several pre-workout supplements (they leverage the Bonnie and Clyde naming conventions). Clyde is the strongest of the pre-workout supplements designed more for fat loss in the pre-workout category. However, if you look at the overall profile in combination with servings and price tag, the value isn’t here to support this as a strong choice for a pre-workout supplement.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8vwjVGjd38&feature=youtu.be” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” bg_color=”#2e2e2e” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_color_hover=”#ffffff” background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”medium_depth” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_color=”#000000″ column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-arrow-right” color=”Accent-Color”]

(6.5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Breaking down the ingredient deck/profile on pre-workouts is some of the most fun we have here at FI. A lot of companies will try to use a prop blend, or pack the deck with many ingredients to impress the consumer, but vastly under dose the majority of them. With that said, let’s dive into this label.

First, I am confused by how they setup their label, but nonetheless we’re not here to talk about that, but to talk about the ingredients and their dosages.

Two forms of Yohimbe are used at 2mg each for a total of 4mg. Yohimbe is used for burning fat. I have seen this as high as 40mg (various forms of Yohimbe), but I have seen it dosed as low as this. A lot of people have issues with this, so I don’t have a real issue with the lower dosage on Yohimbe.

Three different forms of caffeine are used. We get Caffeine Anhydrous dosed at 200mg, Caffeine Citrate at 25mg and Di-Caffeine Malate at 25mg for a total of 250mg. I like the 200mg of Caffeine A, but i would love to see Di-Caffeine Malate dosed higher. Caffeine A and Caffeine Citrate will give you that instant boost, per se, and Di-Caffeine Malate will come in and help you prolong your energy levels and help you avoid the crash.

Hordenine is used for fat burning. We get a dosing of 50mg. There is not sufficient evidence for optimal dosage, but we typically see this around 100mg.

Norvaline is used for pumps. It is dosed at 200mg. This is a good, solid dosage of Norvaline. Another pump ingredient is Agamatine Sulfate at 1,000mg. Another good dose of an ingredient.

For focus, Tyrosine is used at 1,500mg. This is one of the better doses of Tyrosine we see. In most pre-workouts, this is dosed at 1,000mg.

Beta Alanine, the tingly ingredient, is used at 2,000mg. The clinical dosage of Beta Alanine is 3.2g. We are under dosed here, but I know some people have issues with Beta Alanine.

Lastly, we get Betaine at 2,500mg. This is a good dosage of Betaine. Betaine can help improve endurance and strength outputs.

Overall, the ingredients used are dosed fairly decent. The issue we have, is that there really isn’t a good combinations of ingredients that contribute to the same function. Sure, energy has three forms of caffeine, but that’s essentially it. You could include Hordenine in that if you want. Pump has two ingredients but lacking L-Citrulline, which we’d love to see. Focus has one ingredient. Not a terrible pre-workout by any means, but also not one of the best.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”5055″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Effectiveness

(6/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]As we mentioned in the profile section, there really wasn’t anything special about the ingredient deck that contributed to any one (we look primarily for three areas of a pre-workout: energy, pump and focus) category.

We did have OK energy from the Caffeine A, but felt the crash start to kick in about 30 minutes in. This is why we’d like to see more Di-Caffeine Malate.

Focus was good, not great, but good. Thankfully they used a higher-than-normal dosage of Tyrosine. I would like to have more cognitive enhancing ingredients to contribute to overall focus. Yes, I know caffeine helps, but we need more.

Pump is OK. It’s nice to have Norvaline and Agmatine Sulfate, but we really missed the used of Citrulline in this pre-workout. Now days people are using other pump ingredients like Glycerol Powder or Nitrosigine, so our pump with this was not as apparent as others we’ve used.

Overall, this product was OK, but not super effective. I feel if you’re a beginning user you may get more effectiveness out of Clyde.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Taste

Orange Mobster Mango: (5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Orange and Mango? I was sold. However, the taste did not come in like I thought it would. It tasted a little like a citrus drink, but there was a weird after taste with it that I didn’t like. I also didn’t think it tasted exactly like mango with orange. It wasn’t that I couldn’t drink it, don’t get me wrong, but I have had some really tasty pre-workouts in my day![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Mixability

(8/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Use 8-10oz of water and this mixes fairly well. The serving size is less than 10g, so I have a rule that anything below 10g should be almost completely soluble in water. I had some particles floating and some residue at the bottom, but it was not overbearing.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Value

(4/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]The everyday price tag on pre-workouts now is around $40. Most of the highly effective pre-workouts give you 20-servings for $40. Clyde is a so/so pre-workout that gives us 25-servings for $40. I think about some of the others on the market that are more effective that even retail for $30 for 30-servings. Had this product used more ingredients to contribute to the big 3 and been more effective, I could have seen a higher value, but I wouldn’t spend $40 for this.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Available at these Fitness Informant approved retailers:” font_container=”tag:p|font_size:22px|text_align:center” google_fonts=”font_family:Lato%3A100%2C100italic%2C300%2C300italic%2Cregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic%2C900%2C900italic|font_style:900%20bold%20regular%3A900%3Anormal” link=”|||” el_id=”table”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_style=”solid”][tabbed_section style=”default” alignment=”left”][tab title=”25-SERVINGS” id=”1509114502646-00fc8-496c” tab_id=”1510512996012-3″][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” top_padding=”10″ bottom_padding=”10″ text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1509116724210{background-color: #2e2e2e !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]  PRICE COMPARISON:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” centered_text=”true” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]Amazon Logo[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” centered_text=”true” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

No lie. The dude is personable, and communications with his buyers. In fact, I still think he pulls and packs all of your orders. Still pretty cool to me. However, their supplements are not going to blow your socks off.

Bounty Hunter is one of three pre-workouts that WWN produces. In line with the previous two, Bounty Hunter ends up being overpriced for what you get. Out of the big three, energy, pump and focus, it only softly hits on energy and that’s not worth a $40 investment…even with the unique flavor.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WkOm-v7wP6E” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” bg_color=”#2e2e2e” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_color_hover=”#ffffff” background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”medium_depth” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_color=”#000000″ column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-arrow-right” color=”Accent-Color”]

  • FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pre-workout, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

We then look at effectiveness. An effective pre-workout will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Badass Vanilla Bourbon.

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pre-workout products on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Ingredients Profile

(3/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]We created FI to ensure that we are providing you with honest, accurate info to help you make better buying decisions. A huge part of that is breaking down the ingredients used and the doses they are used at. Let’s get started.

Bounty Hunter starts with 2g of L-Citrulline Malate. The proper dosage of this should be 6-8g. As you can see, starting off on a bad foot. Citrulline is used for pumps. L-Arginine is dosed at 1g, another pump agent. This isn’t a bad dosing, but we would still need more than 2g of this type of Citrulline to provide a solid pump.

Beta Alanine, the tingle ingredient, is dosed at 1.5g. This should be dosed at 3.2g per clinical studies. This also contributes to endurance and potential strength outputs. Betaine is dosed at 1g, which also contributes to strength outputs. This should be dosed between 1.5g-2.5g. Taurine, which increases your endurance, is dosed at 500mg. We typically see this between 1,000-2,000mg.

For energy, we get 200mg of Cafffeine Anhydrous. This is the fast acting caffeine basically all pre-workouts use. Going nicely with caffeine we get 100mg of Theanine. This is like caffeine, but, per studies, we do not grow a tolerance to it. This is one area of the pre-workout that is OK.

There are a couple fat burning ingrediens used. L-Carnitine is dosed at 200mg but this should be dosed between 1,500-3,000mg for effectiveness. Hordenine is dosed at 25mg. This is another fat burning ingredient. I see this dosed as hih as 100mg…so 25mg is low.

We see we get 20mg of Stevia Leaf Extract for sweetener. We also get 4mg of Olive Leaf Extract for cardiovascular health and brain function. This won’t be noticeable.

We get 50mg of AstraGin which helps with absorption.

Overall, outside of the caffeine/energy sources, this is a pretty poorly dosed pre-workout. You may get an OK buzz on energy, but most likely you will not get much in the form of pump or focus.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”5052″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Effectiveness

(3/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]The writing was on the wall with the profile breakdown. We didn’t get a lot from this pre-workout at all. Taste

Badass Vanilla Bourbon: (6/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Shockingly, this did taste a little bit like bourbon. It was a unique flavor. I know this brand likes their unique flavors and they did so/so with this. Value

(3/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]A unique flavor and an OK caffeine matrix doesn’t make a product worth $40. What we mean by that is they are not making supplements for the hardcore supplement user. If you’re new to supplements, Wild West Nutrition may have something for you.

Wild West Nutrition Boilermaker is their fat burner. With 15 ingredients used one would think this is going to be an epic fat burner. Unfortunately, the ingredients are underdosed. Boilermaker ends up being an overpriced, pseudo effective fat burner. We’d recommend looking elsewhere for your fat burning needs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL1anCZj4jg&feature=youtu.be”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” bg_color=”#2e2e2e” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_color_hover=”#ffffff” background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”medium_depth” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_color=”#000000″ column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-arrow-right” color=”Accent-Color”]

This portion of the review looks at the ingredients used in the making of this fat burner. We look into each ingredients effective use and determine if it was a quality selection for the product.

We then look at the dosage of the fat burner. Are they using the ingredients at effective doses? It’s one thing to select awesome ingredients, it’s another to make sure they are being dosed where they are meant to be effective.

We then look at effectiveness. This is generally an extension of the profile and dosage section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that the fat burner will be.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, dosage, and effectiveness in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of fat burners on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Ingredients Profile

(8/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Fat burners typically have a staple of proven ingredients on their ingredient deck. Boilermaker does that.

Boilermaker starts with Chromium at 200mcg. Chromium is a normal mineral in our bodies that aids in digestion. It does this by moving glucose from our blood stream into our cells to be burned off as energy. Next on the label is AstraGin at 25mg, which aids in absorption. After that, ActiGin is used. ActiGin, made by the same company who makes AstraGin, is used to improve recovery. This ingredient doesn’t make a lot of sense in this formula, but muscle recovery is important. It also may enhance endurance, which would help you burn more fat if you’re putting the work in.

Higenamine is used next at 30mg. Higenamine is used in many pre-workouts and weight loss supplements to aid in fat loss. Some say it is similar to ephedrine. Grains of Paradise is used at 40mg. This is another fat burning ingredient used in Boilermaker. We get 40mg of Bitter Orange Extract, another fat loss ingredient.

CapsiMax is essentially cayenne pepper. This is dosed at 50mg. This is going to help increase your body temperature. This is known as a thermogenic ingredient. Next, we actually get cayenne pepper at 50mg. So in total, we are getting 100mg of a form of red cayenne pepper to raise body temperature.

Raspberry Ketones is a huge buzz word in fat loss. It is dosed at 75mg. Theacrine is used at 75mg. This is similar to caffeine in which it will speed up your metabolism by stimulating the central nervous system. Green Coffee Bean extract is dosed at 100mg. This is a natural form of energy that, like Theanine, will aid in fat loss through increasing metabolism and stimulating the central nervous system. Garcinia Cambogia, another staple in weight loss supplements, is dosed at 100mg.

L-Carnitine, which aids fat loss by transporting fatty lipids in your bloodstream to be metabolized and used as energy. This is dosed at 225mg. CLA, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, is dosed at 225mg. This aids in fat loss, not necessarily weight loss. Last, you get 250mg of Caffeine. Caffeine is going to help increase your body’s energy production which means burning calories.

Outside of really AstraGin, the ingredients are all aimed at reducing fat and weight loss in humans. There are not many ingredients outside the norm. I do like the use of Grains of Paradise and Higenamine. Overall, profile (if dosed correctly – see below) is decent.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”5046″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Dosage

(5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Boilermaker uses solid ingredients that aid in fat loss and weight loss IF and ONLY IF they are dosed correctly. Although we rated the ingredient profile pretty well, dosage is where we find out if the product is going to work or not. What we are going to do is list the ingredients and what they are dosed at, then we will list the common dosage or clinical dosage after.

Chromium: 200mcg | Recommended: 1,000mcg 2x a day | Under dosed
AstraGin: 25mg | Recommended: N/A | Used for absorption
ActiGin: 25mg | Recommended: N/A | Used for endurance
Higenamine: 30mg | Recommended: 20-30mg 2-3x a day | Under dosed
Grains of Paradise: 40mg | Recommended: N/A (Human study done with 10mg) | Dosed appropriately
Bitter Orange Extract: 40mg | Recommended: 10-20mg 3x a day | Dosed appropriately
CapsiMax/Cayenne Pepper: 100mg | Recommended: N/A | Dosed appropriately
Raspberry Ketones: 75mg | Recommended: 100-200mg | Under dosed
Theacrine: 75mg | Recommended: N/A | Dosed appropriately
Green Coffee Bean Extract: 100mg | Recommended: N/A | Dosed appropriately
Garcinia Cambogia Extract: 100mg | Recommended: 500mg | Under dosed
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate: 225mg | Recommended: 1,500-3,000mg | Under dosed
CLA: 225mg | Recommended: 1,000mg | Under dosed
Caffeine Anhydrous: 250mg | Recommended: N/A | Dosed appropriately

Overall, you can see some ingredients dosed appropriately, but there are too many under dosed ingredients in this profile. Had all of these ingredients been dosed correctly, this would be a much better fat burner. It relies heavily on caffeine and energy sources to boost metabolism while under dosing key ingredients like Higenamine.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Effectiveness

(5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]

As an extension of the dosage of Boilermaker, one would imagine that this product isn’t the most effective on the market. That one would be right. Yes, you will get an increase in energy production with the caffeine and energy sources, but the fat burning ingredients are not working hard for you in our opinion.

Body temperature didn’t go up as much as we’d like. Many fat burners will make you sweat more (thermogenic), however we did not get it with this.

Other fat burners will control appetite and cravings, we did not get this with Boilermaker.

Overall, the only thing we really got from Boilermaker was a slight increase in energy, however we would take this in the AM with our pre-workout, so it could have been a combination of the two.

Value

(4/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I am never a fan of giving out a poor rating on the value of supplements, but unfortunately, this is going to be a poor rating. For 30-servings, this is going to retail for around $45. This is just too high of a price tag for a mediocre, at best, fat burner. Knowing what else is on the market, what those products use for ingredients and using optimal doses, Boilermaker comes in towards the bottom of the spectrum.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][heading]Available at these Fitness Informant approved retailers:[/heading][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_style=”solid”][tabbed_section style=”default” alignment=”left”][tab title=”60-CAPS” id=”1509114502646-02f8a-0a8e” tab_id=”1510017128392-0″][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” top_padding=”10″ bottom_padding=”10″ text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1509116724210{background-color: #2e2e2e !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]  PRICE COMPARISON:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/tab][/tabbed_section][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” centered_text=”true” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]Amazon Logo[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” centered_text=”true” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

The old-age opinion on fats are that they are bad, and you should avoid them at all costs. This is the farthest thing from the truth. In fact, fats provide a source of energy and help you build lean muscle. The trick is knowing which fats to consume and which ones to avoid.

Your daily intake of fats vary on your fitness goals and your overall activity levels. It can also depend on the type of foods you like to eat. If you generally like higher fat foods like bacon, your fat intake might be calculated more when determining your macros.

Are you always buying fat-free foods at the store? Think again. Fats are essential to a healthy life. The important part about fats is knowing which ones to consume and which ones to avoid. Fats play a big part in your cholesterol levels and prevention of certain illnesses. Let’s take a closer look at the different classifications of fats. Then we will provide you with a list of healthy sources of fats.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Saturated Fats

Goal: Limit

Foods that contain high amounts of Saturated Fats:

  • Red Meat
  • Seafood
  • Dairy

Saturated fats are to be consumed in moderation. Too many saturated fats can increase your total cholesterol and your LDL (bad cholesterol). This can cause you to develop a variety of illnesses and diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease and type-2 diabetes.

Cholesterol

Goal: Limit

Foods that contain high amounts of Cholesterol:

  • Seafood
  • Eggs

Cholesterol contains HDL (High-density lipoprotein) cholesterol, also known as the “good cholesterol” and LDL (Low-density lipoprotein), also known as the “bad cholesterol.” You want to limit your intake of LDLs, bad cholesterol. High cholesterol levels can cause you to develop high blood pressure and heart disease.

Unsaturated Fats

Goal: Increase

Foods that contain high amounts of Unsaturated Fats:

  • Olive Oil
  • Seafood
  • Nuts

Unsaturated fats contain three variations: Polyunsaturated, Monounsaturated and trans fats. The difference between Polyunsatured and Monounsaturated fats from trans fats are that trans fats are solid at room temperature, while the other two are not. You want to avoid trans fats, which we will talk about, but you want to increase your Monounsaturated and Polyunsaturated fats.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Polyunsaturated Fats

Goal: Increase

Foods that contain high amounts Polyunsaturated Fats:

  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Fish

Polyunsaturated fats also contain Omega-3s and Omega-6s. Polyunsaturated fats are healthy for you. Polyunsaturated Fats help lower your total cholesterol levels and reduce the bad cholesterol, LDLs. Omega-3s and Omega-6s will be discussed next in this guide.

[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/2″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Omega-3s

Goal: Increase

Foods that contain high amounts of Omega-3s:

  • Fish
  • Soy
  • Walnuts

Omega-3s are extremely important to your overall health. They are an essential fatty acid. This means our body cannot produce them, so we must obtain them from food sources or supplements. Omega-3s help fight inflammation, help control blood clotting and lower blood pressure. A lot of dietary supplement companies sell Omega-3 supplement, most popular is fish oil capsules.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/2″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”5090″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]

Omega-6s

Goal: Maintain

Foods that contain high amounts Omega-6s:

  • Vegetable Oils

Omega-6s are necessary for our bodies since they are an essential fatty acid, just like Omega-3s. A healthy balance of Omega-6s help with growth and brain functions.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Monounsaturated Fats

Goal: Increase

Foods that contain high amounts Monounsaturated Fats:

  • Avocado
  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Peanut Oil
  • Olive Oil
  • Canola Oil

Monounsaturated Fats raise your body’s HDL levels and lower your LDL levels. If you recall from before, HDL is “good cholesterol” and LDL is “bad cholesterol.”

Trans Fats

Goal: Eliminate

Foods that contain high amounts Trans Fats:

  • Processed Foods
  • Fast Food
  • Deep Fried Foods

Trans fats increase total cholesterol and LDL while lowering HDL. Words to look for on labels include hydrogenated, par ally hydrogenated, or shortening.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/2″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”5089″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_column_text]We are all about a healthy balance, but we cannot say enough bad things about Trans Fats. We want you to avoid these at all costs. There is a common saying when it comes to healthy food consumption: shop the outside of the store. What does this mean? It means that typically the foods on the outsides of the grocery store are fresh and not processed. The foods you find in cans, bags and boxes typically are highly processed foods that contain Trans Fats.

Your best friend when it comes to understanding the fats you are consuming will be the nutritional label on the foods you eat. Take a minute to read over the ingredients. Although the total amount of fat a food item contains is important to your macros, you also want to look at what type of fats are making up that total amount of fat. A better understanding of fats will help improve your overall health.

The following is a list of foods that contain healthy fats that you can include in your macronutrient plan, along with their macronutrient profile.

We were able to test out the following flavors: What-O-Melon.

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pre-workout products on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Ingredients Profile

(7.5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Mr. Hyde NitroX doesn’t do anything crazy in their profile. There is no DMAA or DMHA. There are no new state-of-the-art ingredients. Instead, ProSupps focused on proven, safe ingredients to ensure prolonged shelf existence (meaning the FDA won’t be chasing them down anytime soon.)

We like the fact that Mr. Hyde NitroX is a transparent label. This is a change for when their precursor Mr. Hyde hit the market many moons ago. With that said, let’s dive into the ingredient deck.

We start out with 4.5 grams of a “strength” matrix. You could also call this the pump complex as well. We start out with 2.5g of Beta Alanine. Beta Alanine has been shown to increase endurance and strength output. The clinical dosage of Beta Alanine is 3.2g, so we are just a tad light here, but nothing too crazy. Next, we get 1g of Creatine Nitrate (NO3-T). Creatine Nitrate is a more water soluble form of Creatine compared to Creatine Monohydrate. Various studies have shown that you need about 1/2 of Creatine Nitrate versus Creatine Monohydrate (5g is the clincal advantage) to be effective. At 1g we are lower than that. Creatine Nitrate will help with strength output and pumps. Nitrosogine is used next at 500mg. This is a pump activating ingredient that works wonders. You will typically find this or Glycerol for a pump agent. Being dosed at 500mg puts it in-line with competitors that use Nitrosigine. L-Citrulline Aspartate is used next at 500mg. Pure Citrulline should be dosed between 3-5g. Citrulline Malate should be dosed between 6-8g. This ingredient is going to help with pumps, however it is dosed low.

The next section is straight forward. It’s the caffeine matrix at 420mg. You get 300mg of Caffeine Anhydrous (most popular form of Caffeine used in supplements), 70mg of Di-Caffeine Malate and 50mg of a Caffeine Citric Acid Blend consisting of Citric Acid and more Caffeine Anhydrous. This is a lot of caffeine folks. A lot. This is why it was so effective for our product tester. The 300mg of Caffeine Anhydrous will give you that blast of energy in the beginning stages of your workout. The 70mg of Di-Caffeine Malate will help prolong that energy throughout the lift as it is a more euphoric form of Caffeine (meaning it isn’t a hard hitting form of Caffeine but helps prevent crash).

Lastly we get the intensity matrix at 653mg. The first ingredient of this deck is 500mg of Choline Bitartrate. This is a cognitive enhancing ingredient designed to help with focus and memory. This is a typical dosage of it. Next we get 50mg of Theanine. Theanine is a relaxing agent. This will help you focus on the task at-hand. This is usually taken with caffeine between 100-200mg. We are lower here, but still a nice addition. N-Acetyl Tyrosine is next at 500mg. This is another cognitive enhancing ingredient. This is typically dosed around 1g, so this comes in just a tad lower. TeaCrine is next at 25mg. This is a natural energy supplement. The difference between this and caffeine, besides price, is that you don’t grow a tolerance to it (per studies). There are no studies to indicate the ideal amount, but most research suggests that this is sufficient in lower doses. GABA is used at 25mg. GABA is used to boost mood. At 25mg, this is highly underdosed, but I don’t believe they are looking to give you a clinical dosage of GABA. GABA also boosts your body’s natural HGH levels.  Finally, Yohimbe is used at 3mg. This is a fat burning agent typically found at lower dosages. Some people are good with it, while others cannot stand it.

Overall, the profile uses safe ingredients at decent doses. We are not drastically underdosing on key ingredients with this profile, at the same time, we are not getting overly dosed either. This profile is designed to do what Mr. Hyde NitroX is intended for, to provide energy, pump and focus.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”4966″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Effectiveness

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]We want to preface this by saying that our 230lb product tester on Mr. Hyde NitroX has tried a lot of pre-workouts over the years. Some very high stims and others not to high. It is important to note this when you read his feedback. The following excerpt is directly from the tester:

“I recommend for advanced users, would not recommend for beginners or people that abuse supplements. I have been using pre-workouts for years, and this shit will blow your socks off! One of the strongest pre-workouts I have ever used. Use this for the full 30-servings and every time felt the tingles (worked out fasted) and skin ripping Beta Alanine feels. Extreme focus and endurance throughout training. Very high caffeine levels, do not stack with other caffeinated products.”

Based on our conversation with the tester, he really loved the energy, focus and endurance from the product. Based on the profile, you would expect high energy and endurance. Focus is also aided by Caffeines ability to stimulate your central nervous system so this does not surprise us.

Overall, the product was super effective. One of the best pre-workouts he has ever had. Again, he’s had plenty of pre-workouts in his day, so we can honor and trust his feedback.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Taste

What-O-Melon: (6/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Although the product was one of the most effective products of his life, our product tester was not a fan of the taste. What-O-Melon should, in theory, taste like watermelon, but it didn’t have that taste. It wasn’t a great tasting pre-workout in his opinion. He’s had worse, but wishes this one would have been better.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Mixability

(6.5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Mr. Hyde NitroX didn’t mix the best in water. After his initial “drink,” he had to re-pour water back in the shaker to get the remaining sediment from the bottom of the shaker.

Water usage can cause this to change, but when mixed with 8oz of water, it would chalk up and not be as soluble as we’d like.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Value

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Our reviewer said that if ProSupps could get the flavor and the mixability locked down, this would be a 9 out of 10 pre-workout (which would make it one of our best). That would also make Mr. Hyde NitroX one of our top rated pre-workouts for only $30.

Even thought it’s not a perfect 10 out of 10, Mr. Hyde NitroX may go down as one of the best values on the pre-workout market. For $30 you get 30-servings ($1/serving). While most are going to $2/serving, ProSupps still believes in the price conscious consumer. Yes, the taste and mixability can use some work, but an effective pre-workout for $1 a serving is hard to find.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_custom_heading text=”Available at these Fitness Informant approved retailers:” font_container=”tag:p|font_size:22px|text_align:center” google_fonts=”font_family:Lato%3A100%2C100italic%2C300%2C300italic%2Cregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic%2C900%2C900italic|font_style:900%20bold%20regular%3A900%3Anormal” link=”|||” el_id=”table”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_style=”solid”][tabbed_section style=”default” alignment=”left”][tab title=”30-SERVINGS” id=”1509114502646-00fc8-496c” tab_id=”1510512996012-3″][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” top_padding=”10″ bottom_padding=”10″ text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1509130110995{padding-top: 12px !important;padding-bottom: 12px !important;padding-left: 15px !important;background-color: #2e2e2e !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-tag” color=”Accent-Color”]FITNESS INFORMANT’S EXCLUSIVE “PROSUPPS MR. NutraBio PRE Stim Free Review: One of the Best Stim Free Pre-Workouts Available

NutraBio PRE Stim Free Full Review

Pre Stim Free from NutraBio may very well be the #1 rated stim-free pre-workout available. In good ol’ NutraBio fashion, they dose it clinically to ensure you are getting a solid pump, focus and energy from their pre-workout without having to use caffeine. Flavor profile could be better on Watermelon, but overall you will be hard pressed to find a better non-stim pre-workout powder.

Welcome to the review (see what we did there?!) ProSupps was looking to take advantage of the success of VPX Bang, or steal some of the success of Bang with the introduction of their own RTD energy drink, Mr. Hyde Power Potion.

First off, I am not much of an energy drink/RTD pre-workout user. However, I will say that I enjoyed Hyde Power Potion more than Bang. The flavor and carbonation was much better, and I like that PP was clear. If you have to choose between Bang or Power Potion, put your money into the Power Potion jar.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/Rx1PLcPt_0M” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” bg_color=”#2e2e2e” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_color_hover=”#ffffff” background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”medium_depth” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_color=”#000000″ column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-arrow-right” color=”Accent-Color”]

This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the energy dirnk, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

We then look at effectiveness. An effective energy will use high quality, proven ingredients.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used, the more effective that product will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Cherry Cola, Island Punch and Purple Mist

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness and taste in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of energy drinks products on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Ingredients Profile

(7/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Why do people drink these things? For a pre-workout? For energy? Because they can? Well, it’s really a combination of all of the above. We cannot look at this like a pre-workout that needs to be clinically dosed. If you clinically dosed this product it would be sludge. With that said, we don’t know any of the dosages due to it labeling it all as “other ingredients.” With that said, let’s hop into some important facts.

Calories: 0
Sugars: 0g

Other ingredients:

L-Citrulline: used for pumps
Caffeine Anhydrous: you know what this is for
N-Acetyl Tyrosine: cognitive enhancer (mind)
Taurine: strength output
BCAA: “recovery” – doesn’t give ration
Choline Bitartrate: cognitive enhancer
TeaCrine: natural energy ingredient (unlike caffeine, you don’t build a tolerance to this)
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate: oxidation and fat loss
CoQ10: boost energy and exercise recovery

Those are the “active” ingredients used in Power Potion. I like it. Solid ingredients that contribute to what an energy drink is supposed to do.

When you compare these ingredients to what is in Bang, Mr. Hyde Power Potion trumps Bang.

Power Potion also uses Sucralose for sweetener, and it is listed above caffeine on the label. This is a concern of ours.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”4968″ alignment=”center” animation=”Fade In” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Effectiveness

(7/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I don’t get a lot of kick from these, but I also use high-stim pre-workouts at times. It depends on how tolerant you are to caffeine. If a cup of coffee get you going, you will get going from Power Potion.

The nice thing with Hyde Power Potion is the cognitive enhancing ingredients of Choline Bitartrate and Tyrosine. You don’t find that in the competition. The competition relies on caffeine to do that.

Overall, I would say that this is effective for energy and focus. For me personally, it helped prevent crash post-workout or give me a pick-me-up in the morning.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]

Taste

Cherry Cola: (10/10) Island Punch: (8/10) Purple Mist: (8/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I never drink soda. So when I get something that tastes like Cherry Coke, I get excited. All three flavors were solid. I liked that the carbonation wasn’t overbearing so you could taste each.

I am not the biggest fan of fruit punch and grape, but they surprised me. Value

(10/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]When you compare Mr. Hyde Power Potion direction to Bang, you get 16-cans of Power Potion for around $26 (16oz cans) compared to Bang at $24 for 12-cans (16oz). I like the ingredient usage better in Power Potion too. The key here is to buy it at a place that offers free shipping (these can be a bitch to ship).
