Pürest Creatine™

Pürest Creatine™ from NNB Nutrition is the highest purity of creatine ever. Pürest Creatine™ is a vegan, allergen-free and non-GMO creatine product that uses a proprietary synthesis method to avoid reaction pathways that produce hazardous by-products, making it the highest purity of creatine available on the market. Recent research has created the need for higher dosage of creatine by users. The higher dosages mean greater exposure for consumers, and the higher demand means greater risk for poor quality manufacturing, yielding impurities. Pürest Creatine™ was created by NNB Nutriton to address these impurities and ensure consumers are getting the levels of creatine they need without the consumption of manufacturing.

Uses of Pürest Creatine™

During the manufacturing of creatine, impurities such as DCD (dicyandiamide), DHT (dihydrotriazine) and creatinine can be produced. DCD and creatinine are signs of incomplete synthesis and thermal degradation.

DCD can be harmful at elevated levels. DCD is not considered a food ingredient (or a dietary supplement). It is actually found in certain fertilizers, plastics and industrial applications. The acceptable level of DCD from the EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) is less than 50mg/kg.

Creatinine is a waste product your body naturally makes when you use creatine for energy. Creatinine is normal, everyone has it, but elevated levels of creatinine can reduce kidney function and lead to dehydration. The acceptable level of creatinine is <100mg/kg.

DHT, like DCD, can be found in industrial chemicals and in plastics/resins. These are not intentionally added to foods and dietary supplements. DHT is suspected to be a carcinogenic. The acceptable level of DHT is <3mg/kg.
Low quality, impure creatine products can cause higher than normal levels of DCD, DHT and creatinine. At times, these can produce higher than acceptable levels per the EFSA guidelines.

Pürest Creatine™ from NNB Nutrition was found, via third party testing, to contain <1.0ppm of each of these impurities. Every lot of Pürest Creatine™ is tested for all major contaminants and heavy metals. NNB Nutrition’s Pürest Creatine™ uses a proprietary synthesis method to avoid reaction pathways that produce hazardous byproducts.

NNB Nutrition Purest Creatine

Creatine monohydrate is the most well-studied ingredient in the history of sports and active nutrition. Since 1970 there has been over 680 human clinical trials on creatine. Studies conducted on creatine have been on users such as athletes, general population and clinical populations such as aging communities, those with neurological disorders and muscle disorders and more. Outcomes measured during these clinical trials have been, but not limited to, They include strength, muscle mass, disease related, cognition and safety.

Creatine has widely been used for strength building, muscle building, fat loss, cognition and power. More research continues to come out regarding the positive impact that creatine can have on your daily life.

Creatine improves ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production. This is the body’s fuel source for energy. When you exercise your muscles consume ATP for energy. ATP is then broken down into ADP (adenosine diphosphate). Creatine, which is stored by the muscles as phosphocreatine, donates a phosphate group to ADP converting it back to ATP via creatine kinase. Supplementing with creatine aids in this process.

ATP Creatine Cycle

By aiding in ATP production, creatine aids in increasing training volume. The more volume you can do (volume can mean more weights, more reps, etc), it creates a better environment for muscle growth known as hypertrophy. The main takeaway from the studies on creatine is that those who supplement with creatine experience a 5-15% greater muscle mass gain than those who did not supplement with creatine.

Fat loss has been a benefit linked to creatine. Creatine supplementation does not directly lead to fat loss. The environment which creatine can aid in creating (i.e. increasing training volume) can lead to muscle growth, and thus the more muscle an individual can grow generally speaking, the better rate at which fat loss can occur.

Supplementing with creatine can also aid in faster recovery. Creatine may help reduce muscle cell damage. Creatine can do this by reducing oxidative stress and lowers markers of muscle damage. Creatine has also been shown to reduce excessive inflammation. Creatine pulls water into the muscle cells known as cell volumization. By doing so, hydrated cells recover and function better.

More recent studies have linked creatine supplementation to brain and cognitive benefits. A 2024 study had users use 0.35 g/kg (200lb human would consume 31.75g) of creatine while performing cognitive tests during a state of sleep deprivation. The results showed that those who supplemented with creatine during a state of sleep deprivation had improved cognitive performance and processing speed over those who did not supplement with creatine. Studies have also shown that supplementing with creatine during mental fatigue also can aid in cognitive performance and processing speed.

Bottom line is, supplementing with creatine can improve overall health and well-being. However, not all creatine is created equally. Pürest Creatine™ from NNB Nutrition is a superior version of creatine compared to the rest-of-market due to its low impurities.

Interactions with Pürest Creatine™

Pürest Creatine™ can be used in a number of products including sports nutrition and performance, cognitive support, longevity and recovery.

Pürest Creatine™ pairs well with HydroPrime glycerol (also from NNB Nutrition) for improved hydration and exercise performance. You can supplement Pürest Creatine™ with FlowTech™ Beta-Alanine for muscular endurance. For improved cognition support you can pair Pürest Creatine™ with GeniusPure® Alpha-GPC or NeuroFlow®. For muscle-building and strength gains you can pair it with DL-185®.

Side Effects of Pürest Creatine™

As of this writing, there has been no reported negative side effects of Pürest Creatine™ use.

Recommended Pürest Creatine™ Dosing

The general recommended dosage of Pürest Creatine™ is 5g per serving, to be taken daily. For elevated cognition support during states of sleep deprivation or mental fatigue, up to 20g per serving can be taken.
