Overview of Core Nutritionals Core BOLIC
Core Nutritionals has always been a favorite brand of ours here at FI, but it is a brand that not a lot of people think is "sexy." They are not loud on social media, they don't hit you with crazy sales or an email campaign flooded with emojis, they just make solid products that work.
Core BOLIC from Core Nutritionals is a non-hormonal muscle building supplement that not only uses Laxogenin to increase muscle protein synthesis, it also uses the impressive PeakO2 to help enhance your workouts through power output and endurance increases. While many products on the market featuring Laxogenin only feature Laxogenin, Core goes a step further to improve your workouts, something they are big on. If you're looking for a non-hormonal muscle building supplement with an additional performance boost, Core BOLIC is a solid choice.
Why You Should Trust Our Reviews
- EXPERT REVIEW PANEL
Our review panel is made up of individuals with many years of experience in the sports nutrition industry, dating back to the early 2000’s. Their tenure gives them knowledge on brands, supplements, ingredients, dosages and more.
- FULL CONTAINER REVIEWS
Unlike the majority of “review” sites on the internet, Fitness Informant reviews every supplement on a full-container basis. What does this mean? It means that a review is not written or recorded until the last serving of that product has been finished. We’ve all had products that were great for the first couple of days, but then lost their effectiveness shortly after. We want to ensure you are getting a full review based on a full product.
- INGREDIENT EDUCATION
We breakdown each ingredient in our reviews to educate you on exactly what the ingredients do, and what is the proper dosage of each ingredient to effectively do what they are intended to do.
- 100% HONEST – NO B.S. REVIEWS
Our number #1 priority is to inform you proper supplement selection through honest reviews. The majority of “review” sites on the internet will push you to buy a certain product based on the commissions they received. Not us. We want you to purchase the highest quality supplements at the best value. We put your health and wellness first. To achieve your goals we want you to use only the best supplements that you can afford. We do this by being honest.

Testing Results and Ratings
We reviewed the Core Nutritionals Core BOLIC on three categories. We first start by looking at its ingredient profile and dosage. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used and whether or not they are proper dosages in this testosterone booster.
Then we discuss effectiveness. This is the whole reason you're here, right? Does this thing work? Effectiveness is an extension of high quality ingredients used at clinical dosages.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of the ingredient profile, dosage, effectiveness and price. We also take into consideration other test boosters on the market too.
Laxogenin is an interesting ingredient as more and more supplement companies are using it. Laxogenin is a plant-based steroid, let’s clarify this. This is not an illegal anabolic exogenous steroid. This is derived from plants that happens to have anabolic effects. It is also non-hormonal meaning it won’t impact your natural hormone levels, unlike actual steroids. The one thing on Laxogenin is that it lacks human studies. Most of the studies done on Laxogenin are done on bovine tissue. This is the case with many ingredients in this space.
With that said, the studies have shown some impressive results. Brassinosteroids, the plant hormone family Laxogenin belongs too, has been shown to have anabolic effects that lead to increased power output, increased muscle mass and leaner body composition. Laxogenin has also been shown to reduce cortisol levels and increase muscle protein synthesis by 200%.
Per a study conducted on rodents, Laxogenin (brassinosteroids) was shown to stimulate protein synthesis and inhibit protein degradation, which lead to increased food intake, body weight gain, lean body mass, and gastrocnemius muscle mass as compared with vehicle-treated controls.
Overall, it appears Laxogenin is a promising ingredient. The typical dosage of Laxogenin is 100mg-200mg per day. A PCT is not required.
The addition of PeakO2 is what makes Core BOLIC different from the competitive set. PeakO2 is a blend of six different mushrooms grown in the US. These mushrooms are powder adaptogens, which allow athletes to “adapt” to and overcome physical and mental stress. PeakO2 has been shown to lead to increased power output, endurance and overall exercise performance. The clinically studied and accepted dosage of PeakO2 is 2g per day. We get that with just one serving on Core BOLIC.
Overall this is a great product. The jury is still hung on Laxogenin, but the studies are very promising. PeakO2 is gaining popularity for an exercise performance boost. The fact that Core Nutritionals combined the two should lead to bigger gains and better workouts.
With products like Laxogenin and even to some extent PeakO2, it is difficult to judge the impact, since there isn’t a feel to it like a stimulant based pre-workout. With that said, you do feel like there are strength increases in your lifts over the duration of use. We suggest using two servings a day, making this product a 30-day product. This will give you the 200mg Laxogenin and a big 4g dosage of PeakO2. This is a great option for those of you not on any illegal substance who wants to increase their overall performance without impacting your natural hormone levels.
The addition of PeakO2 is noticeable. Your workouts are improved and recovery is better. PeakO2 can increase oxygen uptake which leads to better power output and exercise performance. It can also help with post-workout recovery as well.
Being able to workout longer, and harder, causes stressors on your system, but Laxogenin is the ingredient that is going to help increase MPS which leads to better recovery and leaner gains.
Over the course of 30-days you should notice improvement, that is if you’re following a solid workout guide and a nutrition plan.
Many Laxogenin products on the market today vary in price. Some are on the cheaper end, some tend to be a bit higher. The one thing to keep in mind with Core BOLIC is that this also contains the clinical dosage of PeakO2, which isn’t necessarily cheap. This makes this a better product, in our opinion, than just a straight Laxogenin product. With that said, you will pay more for it. Core BOLIC retails for $61. Competitor products retail for anywhere between $40-$65. To us, this is worth the price because you get PeakO2, and because you can stretch this out into a full 60-day supplement is you decided 100mg Laxogenin is enough for you per day (for most it may be, for the high intensity lifters or bodybuilders you would want two servings). We are fans of the quality and the brand, with these ingredients, don’t feel bad spending $61.
