2020 Arnold Sports Trade Show Cancelled

Arnold

Days after announcing that the 2020 Arnold Sports Festival will proceed as planned, after a long livestream from the Ohio Statehouse, state officials have announced that the 2020 Arnold Trade Show/Expo has officially been cancelled, with no new date in site.

The reason for the postponement was due to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which is highly contagious. Pairing a highly contagious virus, along with an extremely crowded event is just asking for more people to get infected.

While the event may be cancelled, the actually bodybuilding competition will proceed. So while the expo won’t proceed, there will still be a competition to follow, just from a distance.

This cancellation comes just days after the FIBO in Cologne Germany was postponed, as well as Expo West in Anaheim.

Fitness Informant's POV

Gerhard's take- I'm disappointed, however I understand where the decision comes from. While I personally believe the Coronavirus is a bit overblown, doing what you can to reduce the spread is the right thing to do. If the event was not cancelled, I would have gone regardless.
