GHOST is turning eight years old. GHOST is arguably the most decorated and accomplished brand in their first eight years as a brand. They championed the license model in sports nutrition, put pressure on the industry to move towards transparency, improve their labels, flavors and formulas. Although GHOST has always had an amino product, they never truly had an all inclusive Intra workout product.
GHOST has revealed that on their 8th birthday, June 1, they will launch GHOST Intra. GHOST Intra will be an EAA product combined with hydration elements and nootropics. GHOST Intra will be an everyday offering. We are told it will be available in multiple flavors.
GHOST Intra Supplement Facts
GHOST Intra is going to be on-par with formulation quality as their other products. Fully loaded, transparent and made with key ingredients that contribute to the category the brand is playing in. GHOST Intra will contain a full essential amino acid profile (all nine) and a 2:1:1 BCAA ratio.
Before we dive into the “actives” it is important to note that Magnesium is used in the formula as Albion mineral. This means it has better bioavailability that generic versions of Magnesium. Magnesium can aid in performance and hydration.
GHOST EAA – 10g
GHOST’s EAA blend consists of all nine essential amino acids. Three of the nine EAAs are branched chain amino acids (BCAAs). Users will get 6g of BCAA at the 2:1:1 ratio with 3,000mg of Leucine, 1,500mg Valine and 1,500mg Isoleucine. In addition, users will get another 4g from Lysine, Threonine, Phenylalanine, Methionine, Histidine and Tryptophane.
EAAs are good to be taken anytime of day. If fasted it is preferred you use a full EAA profile versus a standard BCAA product.
The 10g dosage of EAAs is one of the highest in the industry.
Taurine – 1,000mg
Taurine is used in intraworkout and hydration formulas to help regulate electrolytes. Taurine can aid in performance output as well. The 1,000mg dosage has become the standard.
Himalayan Pink Sea Salt – 637mg
Salt is used in the formula to aid with hydration. Salt is one of the most important components to proper hydration. Salt gets a bad reputation in the general population because most humans consume too much of it in the form of cheap table salt through processed and fast foods. However, Himalayan salt is very beneficial to proper hydration.
KSM66 Ashwagandha – 600mg
KSM66 is a patent form of Ashwagandha. Ashwagandha has been shown to have multiple benefits. As an adaptogen it can aid in stress and anxiety reduction. It can also help improve mood and focus.
