Inspired Nutraceuticals has cemented themselves as a reputable brand in recent years. They have created some of the best pre-workouts on the market in recent years, and DVST8 WWWW certainly impressed us when we got our hands on it.
With that said, Inspired Nutraceuticals are making some big moves. They are certainly trying to appeal to a wider audience, and have toned down there products just slightly. The days of exotic stimulants are over, but that doesn’t mean that Inspired can’t make some awesome products.
Today we are looking at 3MB3R, a fat burner from Inspired that has recently gone through a rebrand/reformulation. 3MB3R was one of our favorite fat burners/pre-workouts here on Fitness Informant up until it was discontinued. Well, we’re happy it’s back, and we are here to break down this awesome formula for you today.
About Inspired Nutraceuticals
Inspired Nutraceuticals is a smaller company focused on product quality and innovation. Unlike the big guys, who focus much of their efforts growing the top and bottom line through clever marketing, IN is putting their resources into R&D to provide quality supplements for the consumer.
L-Carnitine L-Tartrate – 3g
The first ingredient in 3MB3R is L-Carnitine L-Tartrate (LCLT). Carnitine is a popular ingredient for fat burning supplements, as it has multiple benefits. LCLT is a popular form of Carnitine, as it has been shown to be beneficial muscle recovery.
Carnitine supplements have typically been advertised as a fat loss ingredient, as Carnitine helps your body utilize fat cells as energy.
You get 3 grams of LCLT with 2 scoops in 3MB3R, which is a solid dose.
KSM-66® Ashwagandha – 600mg
KSM-66® is the next ingredient in here, and it is a welcome addition. Ashwagandha is mostly known for its cortisol (stress) reducing benefits and is becoming more common in fat loss supplements, and for good reason.
It has been making it into more and more fat loss supplements, as too much cortisol can be detrimental to your fat loss goals.
You’re getting 600mg in 3MB3R, which is the clinical dose.
Dandelion Extract – 500mg
The next ingredient is Dandelion Extract, which is a natural diuretic. Dandelion is often added to supplements as the diuretic effects lead to water loss, which is a desire to some.
Not only this, but it also has some animal data showing it may be good for maintaining healthy blood sugar levels.
At 500mg it is dosed well.
Cocoabuterol® (Cocoa Extract) – 100mg
Next we have a common ingredient used in fat loss/pre-workouts. Cocoa Extract is a natural source of Theobromine and several other compounds such as ECGC (what Green Tea is famous for). Theobromine is a xanthine, and is chemically similar to Caffeine.
You get 100mg of Cocoabuterol® in 3MB3R, which is a good dose.
Paradoxine® – 40mg
Paradoxine® is a trademarked version of Grains of Paradise, which is a very common ingredient in thermogenics. Grains of Paradise is a natural source of 6-Paradol and 6-Gingerol, which has been shown in a human study to aid in fat loss.
It has been known to give some supplements a spiciness to them, but we this can depend on how sensitive your taste buds are to Grains of Paradise. Either way, it’s a solid ingredient with some human data, can’t ask for much more.
You’re getting 40mg of Grains of Paradise, which is a good dose.
Choline Bitartrate – 1000mg
Choline Bitartrate is a very common form of Choline. Choline converts to Acetylcholine in the brain, which is a neurotransmitter. Choline is one of the first ingredients that is recommended for focus, and is usually very reliable.
At 1000mg, you are getting a good dose of Choline Bitartrate in here.
Caffeine Anhydrous – 400mg
Not much need for an introduction for this popular ingredient. 3MB3R gives you 400mg of Caffeine Anhydrous, which is on the high side for our liking here on FI, however still a good amount. Since it’s a 1-2 scoop product, one scoop would give you 200mg which some may find better.
Caffeine of course is everybody’s favorite energy booster, and it is no surprise to see it in here. Since Caffeine is a very personal ingredient, whether or not the dose is good or not depends on your tolerance. For us here on FI, it is good.
Dynamine® (40%) – 250mg
Dynamine® is an ingredient from Compound Solutions, a very popular ingredient supplier. These are the same people who brought us TeaCrine® and Peak O2®. Dynamine® provides clean energy, and we really like the ingredient here on FI in our pre-workouts.
Dynamine® is from the Kucha Tea Leaf, and is actually similar to TeaCrine®. The biggest difference between the two is that Dynamine® hits you faster, whereas TeaCrine® is more of a longer lasting energy.
Inspired Nutraceuticals uses the 40% Dynamine®, which is supposed to help with the taste. If you don’t know, Dynamine® is not known to taste very good.
You’re getting 100mg of Dynamine® in 2 scoops, which is a good dose.
Bitter Orange Extract (Advantra Z® 20%) – 200mg
Bitter Orange Extract is a source of Synephrine, which is one of the more popular ingredients out there for fat loss. It has some studies showing it may be good for aiding in fat loss, and is common in both pre-workouts and fat loss.
At 200mg in 3MB3R, it is dosed well.
Theobromine – 60mg
We touched on this ingredient in Cocoabuterol® portion above, but we’ll go over it again briefly. Theobromine is a similar to Caffeine as it is also a Xanthine. However, Theobromine is not as strong as Caffeine for energy. With that said, it can still increase energy in some, depending on the individual’s tolerance for stimulants. It may also be beneficial for blood pressure.
At 60mg, you are getting a solid dose, however just like Caffeine, we have to take tolerance into consideration.
KannaEase™ – 50mg
Finally we come to KannaEase™. This is an ingredient used to reduce anxiety in supplements, and can be very beneficial for people that want a lot of energy yet may want to avoid some of the anxiety that comes with high doses of stimulants.
A study showed Kanna being beneficial for cognitive flexibility. The study was a double-blind/placebo controlled, done over 4 weeks. The subjects in this study also reported better sleep quality, however more research needs to be done on this before it can be recommended as a sleep aid.
At 50mg, KannaEase™ is dosed well in 3MB3R.
Final Takeaway
Both Ryan and Gerhard received a unit from Inspired Nutraceuticals to test out. These are some quick notes from them.
Ryan: I can honestly say I really enjoyed the lemon flavor a lot. I enjoyed the effectiveness more than anything. I was sweating my ass off damn near within the first 20-minutes, but I also was focused and ready to knock some weights around. I have become a big fan of thermo-based pre-workouts. I rated the initial 3MB3R super high, this would be right up there too.
Gerhard: 3MB3R is certainly a fun thermogenic powder, and it’s nice to see that Inspired can make powerful products without having to resort to using iffy ingredients or even just throwing in a huge amount of Yohimbine. As for my experience, I have to play around with 3Mb3R to find the optimal dose, as Dynamine can either be my best friend, or put me to sleep. I’ve found one scoop to really give me a nice boost in energy, whereas 2 scoops makes me sweat very well. The watermelon taste is great, as it’s not a simple jolly rancher knock-off, but rather something different. Kind of reminds me of BPI 1MR Watermelon from back in the day, the one watermelon I have actually enjoyed. Worth picking up, at least from a quick hit point of view.
