Earlier this week we announced that SlinMax from Performax Labs was going to make a return featuring the new look and an upgraded formula. That formula has now been revealed. We are going to take a look at it, as well as show you the comparison to the old formula.

We compare the old label to the new, and to be fair we need to double the serving size in the old to compare it to the new.
Notably missing from the new formula is Agmatine Sulfate. This ingredient has been shown to significantly reduced high-fructose dieted-induced elevation in fasting insulin level. Essentially, it helped when you consumed a high carb meal. Performax Labs decided to add Gymnema Sylvestre Extract at 1000mg in exchange of Agmatine Sulfate. Gymnema Sylvestre Extract has been shown to help keep healthy blood sugar levels. This has typically been dosed at 400mg. This is a nice dosage of an ingredient that is found in most GDA supplments now.
The rest of the formula is similar to old, with slight changes in dosages. Isolyn essentially went from 500mg in the old to 250mg in the new when comparing serving size to serving size. Isolyn is a branded version of Sodium R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. Researchers believe Alpha-lipoic acid helps improve insulin sensitivity.
Berberine went from 400mg to 500mg, an upgrade. Berberine has been studied to increase glucose disposal rates, as well (although not significant) as decreasing fasting insulin levels.
Banaba Extract went from 200mg to 300mg. Banaba Extract has been studied and reported to decrease blood sugar levels within 60 min in human subjects.
Cinnamon Bark Extract went from 200mg to 250mg. Supplementation with cinnamon has been shown to decrease blood glucose levels.
Lastly, Chromium Picolinate stayed the same at 500mcg. Chromium may be effective at improving the body's response to insulin or lowering blood sugar. It can also aid in craving management and hunger.
Overall the formula seems to be an upgrade with the removal of Agmatine and the addition of Gymnema Sylvestre Extract and increased dosages of Berberine, Banaba and Cinnamon Extract.
Glucose Disposal Agents are something that is gaining in popularity quite a bit as more and more research becomes available on blood sugar levels and their correlation with carbohydrate consumptions. This seems to be a good GDA formula based on research. No word on when this will be available, but stay tuned to FI for more!
