Well, here we are again, going to do a breakdown on Revive MD. This brand is so fun to talk about, as they bring something different to the sports nutrition industry. In a world that is full of pre-workouts, exotic stimulants, and protein powder, Revive MD brings us down to earth to make us remember that even though we kill it at the gym, we are still human.
Today we will be going over Revive MD’s Collagen powder. Collagen has been quite the rage lately, and many brands will simply throw in the cheapest garbage in their products and call it a day. Well we can’t expect that with Revive.
Revive MD Collagen Powder
To start this off, let’s go over what Collagen is very quickly. Collagen can be thought of as the “glue” of your body, so to speak. It is the most abundant form of protein in your body, and it has a variety of uses, such as skin health and joint health. There are several forms of Collagen, 16 of them in fact, however you’ll mostly see Types I-IV.
It is typically used for aiding in skin health, as well as overall joint health. With the wear and tear we as lifters do our bodies, it makes sense to supplement with something that may aid in overall joint health. Well, that’s where this product comes in.

To fully understand the efficacy of this product, we must dive into the supplement facts panel.
Foretigel® – 5.2g
This ingredient is new to us here on Fitness Informant, however it seems to have been around for quite a while now. Fortigel® is a trademarked form of Collagen, and it has good data supporting it.
One study done in Germany showed that 5g of of Fortigel® daily provided relief for people suffering from knee-pain. The study was done on 160 subjects, and was double-blind/placebo controlled. Subjects reported significant relief vs placebo after 12 weeks of use. There are several other studies supporting its use, this one simply stuck out to us.
You get 5.2g of Fortigel® in Revive MD, so the dose is solid. One thing we have to mention, is that the subjects in the studies mentioned above experienced pain relief after 12 weeks of supplementation. Therefore, it’s best to go through 3-4 tubs of Collagen before you make your judgement as to whether or not it is helping.
Tendoactive® – 520mg
Tendoactive® is a trademarked blend of Type I Collagen and Mucopolysaccharides. Mucopolysaccharides acts as a lubricant in the body, and are often found in around the joints.
Tendoactive® has been shown to be beneficial for tendinopathy, which is an injury which occurs when a tendon is overused. A study has shown that when combined with physical therapy, Tenoactive® may aid in recovery from the early stages of tendinopathy.
At 520mg, it is dosed well in here.
Mobilee® – 80mg
Lastly, we have Mobilee®, which is a patented ingredient which supplies a high concentration of Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA is a very popular ingredient in the supplement industry, and is commonly used for joint and skin health.
In a double-blind, placebo-controlled study done on 40 healthy subjects with joint discomfort, subjects supplementing with Mobilee® showed a decrease in knee discomfort.
At 80mg, it is dosed well in Revive MD Collagen.
Revive MD has done it again. A product for overall health/wellness with clinical doses and trademarked/patented ingredients. With the main source of collagen having scientific backing as a way to aid in joint pain relief. With Collagen getting a lot of attention and gaining in popularity, if there is any Collagen product worth checking out, it is this one.
This was mentioned above, however it is important to note that results won’t happen overnight. Instead, you can expect joint relief after 12 weeks of supplementation, so we’d encourage you to grab 3 tubs. Good news is, it is flavorless and can be added to any protein shake or powdered drink and it will not be noticeable at all.
Not only does Collagen aid in joint health, it has also been shown to be beneficial for skin elasticity as well. You’re getting a high-quality source of Collagen in this, so you may be able to kill two birds with one stone.
