Revive MD Heart: Revive’s Heart Health Supplement

Today, we look at another product from Revive MD, one that may as well be one of their best drops yet. Today, we take a deep dive in Heart, which is obviously a product meant to be beneficial for your heart health.

Vitamin D3 – 50mcg

The first ingredient in Heart is Vitamin D3, which is always great to see. Not only is Vitamin D very important for health, and it makes sense to see in here. Not only due to the times we live in with many people spending their times indoors, but also because you most likely do not get enough of it.

Vitamin D3 insufficiency has been linked to an increased risk in CVD (Cardiovascular disease), so it is great to see Revive add this crucial ingredient in here.

Vitamin K2 (as Menaquinone-7) – 200mcg

The next ingredient in Revive MD Heart is Menaquinone-7, or MK-7. It is a high quality form of Vitamin K2, and it is another solid addition. We’re going to start this off with a little lesson here. There are 2 kinds of Vitamin K. There is K1 (phylloquinone), and K2 (menaquinone). Vitamin K has long been known as a blood coagulator. The biggest difference you need to know between K1 and K2 is that K1 comes from plants (mainly leafy green vegetables), while K2 is found in animal and fermented foods. 

As for heart health, insufficient dietary K2 intake can increase the risk for calcification of the blood vessels. So getting Vitamin K2 in your diet is very important, and it is great to see it in Revive MD Heart.

Rejuna™ – 750mg

Arjuna is a tree bark that is used in Ayurvedic medicine. It has long been used for cardiovascular health, and is gaining in popularity over recent years.

In a placebo-controlled, double-blind study done on 40 young adults, 4 separate groups took either a standardized extract of Withania (Ashwagandha), a standardized extract of Arjuna, both Withania and Arjuna together, or a placebo. 

After 8 weeks, the study showed that Arjuna was able to increase VO2 max, while also lowering systolic blood pressure. This study used 500mg of Arjuna per day, so you’re getting more than the clinical dose in Heart.

Benolea® Olive Extract – 500mg

The next ingredient is no real surprise, but we love it. Revive MD Heart utilizes Benolea® Olive Leaf Extract. Olive leaf extract is a very popular ingredient in health supplements, and it makes total sense to see it in here. Benolea® is a trademarked form of Olive Leaf extract that provides a standardization of 16% oleuropein and 30% polyphenols. 

Olive leaf extract has been shown to be beneficial for reducing oxidative stress, lower blood pressure, as well as help with cholesterol levels. Olive leaf is certainly one of those ingredients worth going down a rabbit hole on, as it has a lot of studies as well as interesting benefits. 

You get 500mg of Benolea® in Heart, which is the suggested dose. 

Curcumin C3 Complex® – 400mg

The next ingredient is one of our favorites in Revive MD Heart. Curcumin C3 Complex® is already a very popular ingredient, as is Turmeric (a source of curcuminoids in general). The C3 complex stands for the three curcuminoids it provides, which are Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin, and Bisdemethoxycurcumin. 

Typically you see Curcumin marketed as an anti-inflammatory, and is usually in joint health supplements. Turmeric/Curcumin have a lot more benefits than just that. Curcuminoids are great for combating oxidative stress, and it is one of the first ingredients people should supplement with if they are looking for some sort of anti-inflammatory. Obviously since it is in Heart, we have to show a study showing that it may be beneficial for reducing the risk of heart disease. 

Curcumin C3 Complex also has been shown to be more potent than regular Turmeric products, and also has superior absorption.

You get 400mg of Curcumin C3 Complex in Revive MD Heart which is a solid dose. 

CoQ-10 – 200mg 

Coenzyme Q10, also known as CoQ10 is used to treat many cardiovascular condition. Per the Mayo Clinic, CoQ10 may might help reduce blood pressure. 

A meta analysis done in 2007 looked at 12 clinical trials with 362 patients to determine the effectiveness of CoQ10 on lowering blood pressure in hypertension patients. The researchers concluded that Coenzyme Q10 has the potential in hypertensive patients to lower systolic blood pressure by up to 17 mm Hg and diastolic blood pressure by up to 10 mm Hg without significant side effects..

Per WebMD, there is no established ideal dose of CoQ10. Studies have used doses of CoQ10 ranging from 50 milligrams to 1,200 milligrams in adults, sometimes split into several doses over the course of a day. A typical daily dose is 100 milligrams to 200 milligrams.

We get 200mg with Heart, which is a solid dose.

Apigenin – 50mg 

Apigenin is the last ingredient in Revive MD Heart, and it is a flavonoid. It actually has a lot of benefits, ranging from anti-cancer, sedation, and more. As for heart health, it is a great addition to Revive MD Heart. 

Apigenin has been shown to have a wealth of benefits, including blood sugar, LDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and more. It may also help with nitric oxide production!

At 50mg, you are getting a solid dose.

Revive MD Heart is another solid product from the brand. While there are already a lot of health supplements out there, Revive MD is one of the few that can actually break through to the bodybuilding/fitness community.
