New Brand Alert: Wild Card Supplements Launches Pre-Workout

By September 9, 2019No Comments

There’s another new brand on the sports nutrition scene; this one goes by the name of Wild Card Supplements. Wild Card Supplements officially launched over Labor Day 2019 with the debut of their pre-workout supplement. Their pre-workout supplement is currently available in three flavors: Joker Juice, Royal Flush Punch and Diamond Dust. Unlike many new brands emerging onto the scene, Wild Card Supplements elected to go with a formula that was attractive to a larger segment of the market.

Many new brands emerge onto the scene with a high-stimulant pre-workout. Wild Card Supplements elected not to go that direction. In fact, Wildcard Supplements only uses one stimulant in their pre-workout: caffeine. You will not find any DMHA, Synephrine, Yohimbe or any other stimulant.

Wildcard Supplements Pre-Workout LabelWild Card Supplements Pre-Workout is dosed nicely using proven ingredients. A quick rundown of the label will show you that the brand considered all five aspects of the workout: energy, focus, pump, endurance and strength output.

For energy the brand elected to go with 275mg caffeine. This dosage is one of the more modest dosages we’ve seen a new brand launch with, but we are not upset about it. This dosage is sufficient for the vast majority of workout warriors.

For focus, Wild Card Supplements uses Choline Bitartrate at 1g and Theanine at 400mg. Theanine is one of the largest dosages of that ingredient. Choline Bitartrate aids in improving cognition performance and Theanine helps alleviate stress, which elevates mood.

The pump component of this contains Citrulline Malate at 7g (unknown the ratio but should still fall within clinical range), Nitrosigine, L-Norvaline and Creatine HCl. Since creatine is a daily supplement, we recommend supplementing with it on days you do not take Wild Card Supplements pre-workout. Each ingredient is dosed correction in the pump complex.

For endurance the brand elected to go with 4g of Beta-Alanine. The brand also elected to use BCAAs in the pre-workout. That is a personal preference for many. You get 4g 2:1:1 BCAAs to aid in muscle recovery, endurance and mTOR activation. You also get 1.4g Taurine, which aids in electrolyte regulation.

For strength and power you get 2.5g Betaine Anhydrous. Creatine HCl also aids in this.

As you can see, the brand elected to give you a little bit of everything in this pre-workout supplement. Wild Card Supplements Pre-Workout is dosed better than many major brands #1 selling pre-workout with the same target market as them: everyone.

If you’re looking for a pre-workout with good, safe ingredient selection and good dosages, Wild Card Supplements Pre-Workout is a solid choice.

If you’re a stim junkie looking for a stim high, get stepping.

Overall this is a good pre-workout, especially for those first getting into training. It covers a wide ground with their ingredient selection while not going overboard on stimulants, which is a good thing.

Wild Card Supplements Pre-Workout is currently for sale on the brands website with a 20% off offer with code New20.

Fitness Informant's POV

I was a bit surprised that a brand emerged onto the scene without some kind of gimmick behind their product. Especially in the US. To make noise, most brands will go hardcore or high stimulant. Wildcard did not do that. It will be interesting to see how the brand picks up. They have cool packaging and a good formula.

I will be curious to see if/when they expand into new product categories what that might be. This is a tough business to excel in, but if you create responsibly, educate consumers and work your ass off you can do it all.
