The legendary Ronnie Coleman is in the supplement industry, and actually, that isn’t a bad thing. The days of pro bodybuilders in the industry providing “bad” products are not over, but Ronnie isn’t one of those contributing to that stigma.

Stacked NO Pump Shot, yes a shot, is a pump activator in liquid form. This makes it a super convenient way to get your pump on without having to mix another powder, doesn’t need to be refrigerated either. The taste is solid and it does work with a couple cap fulls. The only drawback is the ingredients are hidden in a proprietary blend, something I am and never will be a fan of. Ingredients Profile

(6.5/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Stacked NO Pump Shot from Ronnie Coleman Signature Series is a convenient way to get your pump on. In a 5g shot (prop blend) you get a combination of ingredients shown to increase blood flow and ultimately your pump. The fact it is a proprietary blend isn’t great, as we cannot figure out what we are getting for dosages on each, but we can try to break it down the best we can.

We start out with Glycerol. This ingredient is one I am a fan of. It turns your muscles into a sponge and absorbs a lot of water to get you that fullness you are looking for in your pump. I like Glycerol dosed at 1.5g, personally.

Next, we get Taurine. Now Taurine is more of a strength output ingredient. It should be dosed at a minimum of 1g for effectiveness. With more strength comes more reps which means more blood pumping.

Arginine is used 3rd. This has been shown to increase NO levels in the body. I have seen this dosed as high as 1g before. I cannot imagine we are getting that here.

L-Citrulline is used 4th. I would like to see this used above Taurine. What this tells me is that L-Citrulline is going to be under dosed. You should get 3-5g of L-Citrulline for the clinical dosage and optimal pumps. This helps move blood into your muscle cells. Based on it being a 5g blend, we know we are not getting the min. of 3g because Taurine and Glycerol would have to be higher than that.

The 5th ingredient is HICA. This ingredient is a neat little one allowing you to workout longer before muscle fatigue sets in. It gets into your muscles and reduces acid buildup. How does this contribute to your pump? The longer you can workout before fatigue, the bigger the pump you will have. The only human study has this dosed at 1.5g per day. We’re not getting that here.

Lastly, we get Glycerylphosphorylcholine aka Alpha GPC. This improves memory and focus. Love this nootropic. It should be dosed at minimum of 600mg. I cannot say with conviction that we get that here, it wouldn’t add up based on what is in this.

Overall, I like the ingredients used, a lot of benefits, but the dosage is questionable. Effectiveness

I actually used used the cap of this and filled it up. I would take two cap fulls to get an optimal pump. With just one cap you are lacking certain dosages of the ingredients used, that’s just a fact. It is what it is. Use two caps and you will be satisfied with your pump.

Taste

Unicorn Juice: (8/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I cannot explain what the flavor Unicorn Juice actually is. However, it wasn’t bad. There is a weird after taste too it, but because it is a shelf stable liquid, I would expect that. With pump powders you can flavor a bit more “sweet” if you will. It is not a bad tasting supplement by any means. It is quick and convenient, and if you’ve ever went to college or lived you know how to take a shot. I would take two capfuls, essentially two servings making this a 16-serving for me. The price on this is reasonable, thus making it a solid value. Had I had to pay over $20 for roughly 16-servings then I wouldn’t have been the happiest person. However, this retails for under $20 at the Ronnie Coleman website and if you are god with 1-2 caps, this can last you. If you’re new to the category, you might be able to get by with one…but I will always, ALWAY recommend two. This portion of the review looks at the different ingredients used in the pre-workout, what their intention is and how effectively dosed are each ingredient.

We then look at effectiveness. An effective pre-workout will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages.  This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.

Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Watermelon.

Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.

Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Ingredients Profile

(7/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Earlier I mentioned that I love pre-workout powders that really focus on the cognitive area of the pre versus a stim heavy pre. Mental Jiant does exactly that.

We start with 2g of L-Tyrosine. This is a focus improving ingredient that is typically dosed at 1g. Solid on this front. Next, we get 1,000mg of Acetyl-L-Carnitine. This is a great dosage of Carnitine which moves fatty acids through the body to be burned as energy and ultimate lead to fat loss. Alpha GPC is my favorite Nootropic on the market. We get it at 300mg (50%). I would like to see this at 600mg, especially if your claim is “Mental Jiant.” In a perfect world this would be 1,200mg.

We do get caffeine in this. We get 275mg of Caffeine Anhydrous. This is the fast hitting, hard hitting caffeine we’re used too in a pre-workout. Beta PEA, also known as phenethylamine, is used at 250mg.  This is a small molecule, with a large impact. This is also known as the “happy molecule.” The typical dosage of this is 100-500mg.

Hordenine is dosed at 100mg. This ingredient is known for it’s fat burning capabilities. This helps produce energy when it “burns” fat. The dosage is sufficient based on other items with this ingredient. Theanine is dosed at 100mg. This helps relax you. The dosage of 100-200mg per day is recommended. Lastly, we get 20mg of Noopept, another one of my favorite Nootropics. This really helps give you that laser focus you are looking for. This is dosed nicely too.

Overall, the ingredients used are dosed appropriately. I would love to see more Alpha GPC, but not bad all around. This pre does lack in the pump, strength and endurance categories. Effectiveness

(9/10)[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Mental Jiant is not claiming to produce skin tearing pumps or marathon endurance, but they are guarnateeing mental clarity and focus. That is does do very well. I would give the focus on this a 10/10, no doubt. The energy is solid too. I don’t like to go heavy on caffeine, so the mix of caffeine with Hordenine works well for me. If you are a big stim junkie you may not get the energy from this that you want. My suggestion would be to taper off that stuff.

Had they mentioned anything about pumps I would then rate it on that. This one tasted just like watermelon. I remember using a pre-workout back in the day that was watermelon flavored, and this was just like that. It was enjoyable, nothing wrong with it at all. If you like watermelon then you will really enjoy this. Mixability

It is very micronized into a fine, fine powder. This should mix well, and it does. I did double up to see what would happen with mixability and it was still fine. This is due to the fineness of the powder, literally like powdered sugar. At the end of the day that isn’t a lot for a pre-workout, especially one priced at $1.50 a serving. Because you are not getting pump, endurance or strength aspects in this pre-workout, it limits the value to some extent. This is coming from the guy who loves products like these, but I understand the importance of the other pillars.

If you can get this on sale, great, then the value is much better. We start with 1.5g of Tyrosine. This ingredient provides mental clarity and improved focus. You find this in a lot of pre-workouts as well. There are two forms of Tyrosine in this. Next, we get a blend, which I which was transparent, but it contains 1g of Choline Bitartrate and Alpha GPC). Choline Bitartrate I have seen dosed as high as 1g before, and because it is labeled first it is the dominant ingredient. I love Alpha-GPC. My favorite Nootropic. I would imagine Choline is more along the lines of 700-800mg while A-GPC is 200-300mg. These ingredients are designed to improve focus.

Taurine is used and dosed at 1g. This is used more for endurance and strength output. You find this in a lot of pre-workouts as well.

DMAE is used. This ingredient is cool as it really works with memory loss as people age. It reduces a pigment in the brain that impairs cognitive functions. We see this more and more in Nootropic formulas. It is dosed at 200mg. Recommended dosage is 100-200mg per day. L-Theanine, the relaxing ingredient, is dosed at 100mg. A sufficient dosage.

TeaCrine is used at 62.5mg. This pairs nicely with the 125mg of Caffine Anhydrous and 50mg of Di-Caffeine Malate. This provides a nice energy without a major crash. Energy also leads to focus.

Interesting, Focus XT uses 10mg of Lutein, which is the recommended dosage for preventing cataracts. Eye health does help with focus.

Lastly, Huperzine A is dosed at 100mcg, the right dosage, to help improve cognitive ability.

Overall, a really solid, great focus product with the added benefit of energy. A big fan of this profile and the dosage throughout. This is very effective at “zoning” you in. The Nootropic ingredients and ingredients used for improving cognitive functions was done nicely. In fact, I type this review as we speak drinking this to help me focus.

The caffeine isn’t overbearing. It is more than a cup of coffee. In fact, with the TeaCrine, it is about two cups of coffee.

We start with 5g of 2:1:1 BCAA. This is the optimal dosage that you hear so many people talk about. This has been the standard for years. They do not callout fermented vegan aminos, but I have known PS to be a brand that at times doens’t do that. For BCAA, you want to get about 15-20g per day through whole food and/or supplements.

Then we get 3,135mg of EAAs and “endurance” ingredients. The issue here is we do not know what we are getting of what. Are they in order from most to least? I would expect so, but not entirely sure.

We get Beta-Alanine, which is clinically dosed at 3.2g. This does help with endurance. L-Lysine, L-Phenylalanine and L-Threonine are EAAs to help with recovery. After that, we get L-Citrulline Malate. This helps with endurance and pump. The clinical dosage on this would be 6-8g. Another EAA is L-Histidine and L-Methionine which are labeled next. Cissus Quadrangularis is a unique ingredient shown to help heal broken bones and injured ligaments, something that happens a lot during exercise. HICA is also used, which reduces muscle fatigue. AstraGin helps with absorption and ActiGin helps with endurance.

Overall, the matrix is solid, but we don’t know what the dosage of each ingredient is. At 3,135mg, it’s to be expected we are under dosed in areas, which in an intra workout isn’t a bad thing as you would happen to get some of these from your pre-workout.

Effectiveness

If it does both, then it is an effective amino. It is also an extension of the ingredient profile.

This product did an OK job of taking care of my thirst. I always find myself trying to drink as much as I possibly can when I lift. This was something I wanted to keep drinking.

Regarding DOMS, I am an experienced lifter so I don’t get muscle soreness like I used too. I also supplement with aminos on the reg, so that helps. I did not experience DOMS while on this. Even after a big leg day, sure I was sore, but nothing to the extent where I couldn’t walk days later.

EpiCat can ONLY be affective if you are stacking it with an anabolic agent like laxogenin or another muscle builder, in my opinion. I wouldn’t take this alone. I used it in conjunction with laxogenin. Loved it. The studies done shown that at the optimal dosages you do improve your exercise output and gain more muscle mass. I bust my ass in the gym, I put on size. I cannot say it is all to EpiCat, but it definitely contributed to my lean gains.

Laxogenin is a plant-based steroid, meaning it is naturally occurring and it is legal. This comes from a plant very similar to Asparagus. The benefits of Laxogenin are awesome. For a male, you want 100-200mg per day for effectiveness. That means you would take 4-capsules of this 60-cap bottle to get a 100mg serving. Effectiveness

When dosed correctly, Laxogenin is VERY effective. That means getting at least 100mg if you’re a guy. If you only take the recommended 1-2 capsules per day that the bottle tells you, you won’t get much of a positive effect from this product. If you’re a lady, you may get a bit more.

Because the bottle suggests 1-2 caps per day, I have to rate effectiveness on that. It is not going to be very effective at that dosage. To be effective, you must up your dosage to 4-8 caps per day (if you’re a male). If you’re a female, I would still take more than 1 cap per day.

Laxogenin+ from REPP Sports retails for under $50 and gives you 50mg caps – a serving size is two which means you’re getting the recommended 100mg of Laxogenin…and they give you 60-servings. At that type of dosage of Ano-Genin, you are only getting 15-days of supply (at 100mg) versus REPP’s 60-days.

For women, this is more value to you, because sometimes you may not want to dose too high, but I still think a minimum of 50mg for a women is needed, this requiring 2-caps of Ano-Genin reducing your 60-servings to 30-servings.

We first start with NAC at 400mg. This is commonly used to treat liver failure. This is why you find it in this product. Then we get 300mg of Hawthorne Flower & Leaf Extract. This is used to treat high blood pressure, something that comes along with being on “gear.” Next, we get 200mg of Saw Palmetto. This is used to help with your prostate health, yet another organ affected by “gear.” Red Clover is used at 100mg. This has been said to treat high cholesterol. Celery Extract is used at 75mg. This is also another blood pressure regulating ingredient. Lastly, we get 75mg of Grape Seed Extract. According to WebMD, there are many cardiovascular benefits derived from this ingredient.

There are other ingredients out there on the market that are preferred for certain health of organs like TUDCA for liver. Do your research before you take anything to find what is optimally best for you if you are on “gear.”

Really, you should be on “gear” to know if this is effective, but I wanted to take to help with liver health, prostate health and cardiovascular health. To know if it is effective you really should get blood work done on your liver enzymes and prostate health, not to mention your blood pressure (mine was fine). I would say this is a direct extension of the dosage and ingredient deck. Overall, it should come in around a 7.

Just a note, if you do get on “gear” be smart about it and take care of your health.

Ingredients Profile

We first start with Tribulus Terrestris at 250mg. This is a libido enhancing ingredient with some studies indicating it can increase test levels (which is needed post-cycle.) We then get 160mg of Saw Palmetto Extract. This is used to help with your prostate health, something that can be affected by a cycle. Then we get 125mg of NAC. NAC is used for liver health. Arministane is used at 37.5mg. This is used  to reduce cortisol, raise LH (luteinizing hormone), and increase testosterone levels. Lastly, we get 25mg of Laxogenin. This is a plant-based steroid (no, not that kind of steroid) designed to be anabolic to help you keep your gains from your cycle.

Overall, these are the kind of ingredients we’d expect to see in a PCT. The goal of a PCT is to address health issues that the cycle could have done to you (by the way, if you are on a cycle, make sure you take care of your health while on it). It should also work on raising your natural test levels back to the normal levels.

Tribulus Terrestris (250mg @ 40%): 200-450mg @ 60% – this means we are boarder line here…I think this should be more since we are only at 40% in this supplement.

Saw Palmetto Extract (160mg): 320mg is optimal per WebMD

NAC (125mg): For general health purposes, 600mg is recommended, but I have seen as low as 400mg.

Arimistane (37.5mg): no optimal dosage, but have seen as high as 100mg

Laxogenin (25mg): no optimal dosage, but men typically need 100mg for effectiveness

As you can see, to get optimal dosages, you are best taking two of these capsules. One, alone, if you’re a male, isn’t going to be beneficial for you. I was just talking in the dosage section that one capsule won’t be effective for you, as a male. This is true. One capsule effectiveness may be a 4 or 5 in terms of score. However, if you take two, which is a suggestion on the label, it becomes more effective. You will see your libido increase and you feel normal, which is key. If you don’t feel normal post-cycle, something is most likely wrong. Low test levels can cause you to be tired all the time and depressed. No one wants that.

The more Arimistane and Laxogenin you can get post-cycle, the better for your gains. This product can be effective, but must be dosed at a minimum of two capsules.
