Finding the right protein bar can be extremely difficult. There are just so many to choose from on the market today. So many companies are attempting to join in on the fun of the market by making a product and slapping “protein bar” on the packaging.
This is enough to fool the everyday consumer, but not us. We refuse to stand by and let you select the wrong protein bar when you buy your goods online or inside a retail outlet.
As human beings we have a natural sweet tooth. Many humans appease this sweet tooth with the use of a candy bar like a Twix or a Snickers bar. There are so many other healthy alternatives that can take care of that sweet tooth while promoting a healthy way of life and muscle gains.
Spoiler alert: it’s not a candy bar, it’s a high quality protein bar.

One of the biggest issues facing the protein bar market is what we already described above. So many consumer package goods companies are creating them, loading it with poor quality protein, putting 20g of protein on the label and people just assume it is good. That is not the case.
Not every protein bar is good for you. Not all should be treated equal. Walk into a gas station and look at them lining the shelves. They are camouflaged in with the candy bars. We don’t mean this in the way that they are put next to the candy bars, but the fact that a lot of these “protein bars” are actual candy bars!
Don’t waste your time and your health by purchasing poor quality products. Fitness Informant has complied a comprehensive list of the the five best protein bars on the market today! Stop being fooled. It’s time to get educated!
We examined four different areas of each protein bar when we compiled our rankings:
We rate each protein bar on five different categories. We start by looking at the ingredient profile. We investigate the types of protein and the other ingredients used to make the finished product The higher quality protein sources and less fillers, the better score the bar would get. We also look at the macro nutrients of each product. A lot of individuals want to know calories, total fat, total carbohydrates and total protein.
Next we look at the taste of the protein bar. We look at taste in two ways. The first is does it taste like the label says? For example, does a cinnamon twist protein bar actually taste like a cinnamon twist? Second, we judge the overall taste of the product. We combine these for one score.
Texture is very important to the protein bar category. Texture encompasses the hardness of the bar, the chewiness, the crunch and the chalkiness. A good textured bar will have a nice combination of all the good things about texture.
Finally, we talk about the products value. Value is the combination of ingredient profile, taste and texture as it relates to price and to the competition. Just because a product is “cheap” in terms of price tag, does not mean it is a value. You need a combination of ingredient profile, taste, texture and price to be a good value.
Please Note: Many of the top 10 lists you find online are written by content writers with no in-gym or supplement experience who are paid by the word count to write an article for a website trying to generate money.
These lists are influenced by brands who pay for placement. These lists contain protein bar supplements that are, for the lack of a better word, garbage.
The following products on our best of list were used by the author of this article. He used the protein bars through the duration of a full box. Sample packs were not used in determining our rankings.
Stop relying on faulty information that is influenced by outside writers and money. This list is the real deal. We don’t steer you wrong. Be Informed. Live Fit.
Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for, here’s our list of our top 5 rated protein bars:

Outright Bars were created by Marc Lobliner to be a fuel source for all people, not just fitness fanatics, that was a much cleaner alternative to what is on the market today.
Outright Bars are not marketed to the traditional bodybuilding community. Marc decided NOT to brand it MTS because he wanted to appeal to the all-family demographic. With simple ingredients and a taste and texture to go with it, he did just that.
Outright Bars are made from peanut butter, honey, protein powder, oats, chips and sometimes cocoa powder. It doesn't get more simple than that. They pack in 15g of protein, which compared to the competitive set is less, but again you have a much cleaner profile with a high quality protein source. If you haven't tried an Outright Bar you need too.
Who Makes It
Outright is technically its own brand, but it is owned by Marc Lobliner and uses MTS Nutrition Whey Protein Isolate. So you could say it is a MTS brand (most websites list it under MTS as well). Mark Lobliner decided to brand is separately from MTS because of the all-family appeal these bars have. The Outright brand has made protein bars, both peanut butter and almond butter base, nut butter spreads and protein wafers.
One serving contains:
The Outright Bar became our #1 rated protein bar due to three very simple reasons. The first is the ingredient profile. It is simple, single digits and all real ingredients everyone on the planet knows. The second is the taste. These things taste amazing. Whether you are having the peanut butter base or the almond butter base, they delivery. The third is the texture. The Outright Bar is extremely soft for eating but doesn't fall into your lap. Oh, let's not forget they are affordable as well.

MRE Bars from RedCon1 are some of the most popular bars in the world right now and our current #1 rated protein bar. Why? It’s because they are delicious, but they are also different than the rest of the category. MRE Bars don’t utilize whey protein like the others one on this list, they use whole food sources.
So what do we mean, whole food sources? RedCon1 put beef protein, salmon protein and chicken protein as the main sources of protein in these bars. Sounds gross, huh? I can assure you that these are NOT gross and they taste phenomenal. They also have the best texture of bars I have ever had. You can actually see the whole food sources in the bar.
There is a reason MRE Bar overtook our #1 spot...they expanded with new flavors and helped affordability with discount options.
Who Makes It
RedCon1 may be the hottest brand in the supplement industry. Owned by supplement industry veteran Aaron Singerman, RedCon1 became an overnight success with their lineup of quality supplements, ambassadors, marketing programs and slogans.
RedCon1 continues to gain momentum with the more products they release and the more countries they get released in. RedCon1 is here to stay, and they have a goal of becoming the #1 supplement company on the planet.
One serving contains:
MRE Bars from RedCon1 are the most exciting bars to hit the category in a long time. The fact that they don’t rely on the popular whey makes them an attractable protein bar for those who have issues with dairy. On top of that, they are amazing tasting with quality sources of macros.
MRE Bars are quick to sell out as soon as they come in due to their popularity. I would grab some of these while you can. You won’t regret it. Time will tell if they get to our #1 spot. You can read the full MRE Bar review here.

B.A.R. is another protein bar from RedCon1 that makes our top 5 list. CEO of RedCon1, Aaron Singerman, said he broke his cardinal rule with B.A.R., creating two separate products in the same category. Well, it appears that it is working.
B.A.R. is different from the MRE Bar because it uses whey protein versus the beef/chicken/etc protein from MRE. This means that the protein source in B.A.R. is more bioavailable than MRE. B.A.R. is also different in that it is inspired by your favorite childhood and adulthood cereals.
The B.A.R. uses real cereal pieces and whey protein crisps to give us amazing flavor profile, texture and 20g of solid whey protein. RedCon1 took a chance with a cereal protein bar because Quest failed, but RedCon1 won't.
The B.A.R. is a refreshing bar to the category that offers a different, but pleasant texture, vibrant/bold flavors and a macro profile we can all be proud of.
Who Makes It
RedCon1 is the maker of the B.A.R. as well as the MRE Bar. No other brand has two items on this list, but RedCon1 does. They changed the category with MRE Bar, and the B.A.R. is making breakfast great again. RedCon1 is also one of the hottest, fastest growing brands in the history of the sports nutrition industry.
One serving contains:
RedCon1 B.A.R. is going to be a successful bar in a category in which the one time category leader failed at. Taking on "breakfast" occasion can be hard in protein bars, but RedCon1 has done it successfully. They have been so successful that the B.A.R. is also consumed outside of breakfast more-often than not.
B.A.R. is just shy of MRE for now due to only three flavors available, but it could climb the rankings if they keep adding your cereal favorites.

SINFIT Bars had a long run atop our rankings list as #1 until recently getting beat out by MRE. SINFIT Bars are solid, filling and delicious bars that deserve to be in anyone's top 5.
First, they use two quality protein sources to make the bar. The first ingredient listed is whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate. Other bars typically are using a milk protein, nothing wrong with that, but not as high as quality as whey.
Next, they are HUGE. These bars are 83g each. They contain 30g of protein. This is going to be more than most. With that, however, comes an increase in the other macronutrients. You get 16g of fat and 28g of carbs. This might turn some people off, but these are so big you could use it as a meal replacement or just eat half and save the rest for later.
The taste is amazing too. They are close to being one of the best tasting bars on the market today, their score is reflective of that!
Who Makes It
Sinister Labs was our Breakout Brand of the Year in 2017 for their commitment to creating quality food products. The name Scott James may not mean anything to you, but he’s been known to build quality companies in the sports nutrition space. He has done it again with Sinister Labs. He also brought Mr. 212, Flex Lewis, on board to be part of this wonderful company.
Sinister Labs also makes protein pancakes and nut butter spreads that are amazing. If they continue to release products that are like these, I don’t think anyone will be able to stop them!
One serving contains:
SINFIT Bars make our top ranking list due to their incredible taste, soft, non-chalky texture and 30g protein per bar. These bars are huge, so they will justify a higher price tag. But wait until you try one…you will want to eat the whole box.
Sinister Labs was able to create a great taste, without the chalkiness and without compromising the healthiness of the product. If you haven’t tried SINFIT Bars I would run, not walk, to our link below to buy these! You won’t regret it. Read our full SINFIT bar review here.

OhYeah! ONE Bar by ISS Research gained popularity on QUEST Bars when Quest Nutrition changed their formulation on their original QUEST Bar (they have since gone back to the original formulation due to complaints). There was room for a new player in the protein bar space and OhYeah! ONE Bar capitalized on that. It utilizes a high quality ingredient profile while staying macro friendly. It gives us superior taste and texture compared to others and they don’t even inflate the price!
OhYeah! ONE Bar tops our list because they were able to make a great tasting protein bar with an awesome texture all while maintaining quality ingredients and being macro friendly. ONE Bars contain only 5g of NET carbs and 7g of fats.
They are able to keep carbs low and fats even lower. ONE Bars also contain 21g of protein from whey protein isolate and milk protein isolates, a high quality protein blend. They are also gluten free which is big in the fitness community. One area of highlight is the sodium count is also really low on these compared to others.
Who Makes It
ISS Research makes a lot of different products for the sports nutrition industry. They do brand most of their products under the OhYeah! umbrella but they also carry other items like Victory Bars which are very popular.
One serving contains:
OhYeah! ONE Bars were able to secure our #1 spot in 2017 because they use high quality ingredients while creating a macro friendly bar that is great tasting, with superior texture and at a great value. They give you everything you want in a protein bar.
ONE Bars were able to capitalize on what Quest Bars did in terms of ingredient quality and macro compliance while creating a better tasting product. Read our full OhYeah! One Bar Review here.

It was only a matter of time until Herbalife found itself back in the news. I don’t think anyone is shocked to hear that Herbalife is being sued…again, but this time for $1 billion in a Miami courtroom.
Former WWE Superstar turned Sports Nutrition CEO Ryback Reeves joins the show to discuss his transition from professional wrestling into supplements. Ryback still wrestlers full-time, but through trial and error and personal beta tests, he has developed a line of supplements he swears by “Feed Me More Nutrition.” Ryback talks about staying healthy on the road for WWE, why he left and if he will be back. He talks about Feed Me More Nutrition and the future he has in the industry.
MuscleTech Nitro-Tech Casein Gold protein powder is a standard casein powder that won’t blow your socks off, but it can get you by. I say this because it uses Milk Protein to provide the Casein in this supplement, not pure casein. When you go down to the ingredient section we will break it down. It is an OK protein powder that is priced where it should be. There are better casein powders, but if you’re on a budget we can see why this would be an attractive choice.
We got the opportunity to test Iron Brothers Supplements Pre-Workout V2 featuring Dynamine. Honestly, this is a packed pre-workout that supplies optimal dosages of key ingredients to provide a great workout. It’s not over the top crazy, but provides the pillars a pre-workout should: energy, strength, focus, pump and endurance. If you want something to replace your DMHA/DMAA based pre-workout, this may be a solid choice for you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/rMI-PttK1Oo” align=”center”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” bg_color=”#2e2e2e” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”padding-5-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color=”#efefef” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_color_hover=”#ffffff” background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”medium_depth” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”2px” column_border_color=”#000000″ column_border_style=”solid”][text-with-icon icon_type=”font_icon” icon=”icon-arrow-right” color=”Accent-Color”]
We then look at effectiveness. An effective pre-workout will use high quality, proven ingredients, at clinically backed dosages. This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.
Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Blackberry Lemonade.
Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of pre-workout products on the market.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]
We start with 4g of L-Citrulline. Before you think this is under dosed, remember that pure L-Citrulline should be dosed between 3-5g. We are right in the middle here. This ingredient provides a pump by increasing blood flow into your muscle area. Agmatine Sulfate is used at 1g. This is another pump ingredient. It works by increasing NO levels in your body. NO then pushes more blood into the muscle. The typical dosage of this is 1g. L-Norvaline is yet another pump agent dosed at 150mg. This works by increasing NO levels and producing blood flow. Optimal dosage is a minimum of 100mg. We are set here. Lastly, for pump, we get 50mg of Theobromine. This is the ingredient commonly found in dark chocolate. It helps improve blood flow as well. I see this typically dosed at a minimum of 100mg, so we may be a tad under dosed here, but with all the pump ingredients in this product we are fine.
When we talk strength and endurance we are going to look at three ingredients used in this product: Beta-Alanine, Betaine Anhydrous and Taurine. Beta-Alanine, an endurance extender, is dosed at 3.2g, which is the clinically studied dosage. Betaine is dosed at 2.7g. This is actually dosed higher than the optimal 1.5g-2.5g dosage. This helps with strength and power output. Taurine is dosed at 1g. This helps with strength output. This is dosed at the minimum accepted level. Overall, strength profile is standard and solid.
Last, we have the energy and focus ingredients. We start with 275mg of Caffeine Anhydrous. You all know what caffeine is. This is a standard dosage of caffeine now days. We also get 100mg of Dynamine. This is caffeine-like, without the crash and burn. I have seen Dynamine dosed everywhere from 100mg to 200mg. There has not been enough studies on it yet, but 100mg of Dynamine combined with 275mg of caffeine is fine. Hordenine is dosed at 75mg. This is a fat burner. There isn’t a ton of evidence for optimal dosage, but we’ve seen this as low as 50mg and as high as 100mg. At 75mg we are fine. The one focus ingredient is Huperzine A at 200mcg. This is a really good dosage of this cognitive enhancing ingredient. My only qualm here is that we don’t get more focus ingredients. That’s the most important part of a pre in my opinion.
Overall, everything is dosed right where it needs to be. This pre-workout doesn’t use any unique blend of exotic stims, but it uses proven ingredients that work and work well.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”6246″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]
Pump is great as it has a multitude of pump ingredients dosed correctly. I would still use a pump agent with it, because the pump provides so many health benefits, not just pretty to look at. I am a big fan of Norvaline and Theobromine. I wish Theobromine was dosed higher, but this still does what it is intended to do.
For energy, it is good. I am not a huge buyer into Dynamine. I toyed around with it for my own pre-workout but never felt it provided the bang for the buck. The energy with this pre-workout is good, but I think it could still be better. At 275mg Caffeine, this is going to tweak a lot of people out, if you’re a stim junkie you’ll want more. The addition of Hordenine is solid too.
The focus aspect had me disappointed. Yes, caffeine, Hordenine and Dynamine all contribute to it, but Huperzine A is the only real cognitive enhancing ingredient used. Where is Tyrosine or A-GPC? Even a cheaper ingredient like Choline would have been fine. I didn’t find the zoned in focus with this pre-workout that I have with others.
Endurance and strength are what you’d expect with this pre. We get a solid dosage of Beta-Alanine, Betaine Anhydrous and Taurine. You can get through a tough workout rather easily.
Overall, a really good pre-workout that works. The only ask is to put more cognitive enhancing ingredients and then you’d have one of the greatest pre-workouts on the market today.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]
Blackberry Lemonade:
[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]Different. That’s how I would explain the taste of this pre-workout, which is a good thing. Everyone does a blue raspberry or fruit punch. Blackberry lemonade you don’t find a lot of. It is decent. If you’re a fan of that flavor combo then you will really like this. It’s not necessarily my forte, per se, but it is still a decent tasting pre-workout. It tastes as you’d expect based on the name.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]See Price

We look into each ingredients effective use and determine if it was a quality selection for the product. The main thing here is are the ingredients used correct and is the dosage correct?
Then we look at taste. We know this is important in a supplement. We were able to test out Pineapple Mango.
We then will look into the mixability of this product. Does it mix well? Clump? Watch the video for a demo!

We start with the Multi-stage mTOR & Recovery Elements section. We get 2.5g of L-Leucine. This is the BCAA responsible for turning they key and starting the engine for mTOR. Glutamine is used at 1.5g. This helps with muscle repair, but also with gut health.
We then get into the EAA & Uptake Elements. We get 1.69g of EAAs (along with 2.5mg of Bioperine for uptake). This helps feed our bodies while we sleep and promotes muscle repair and growth. EAAs are a hot subject these days, and when taken on an empty stomach they can provide major benefits.
We then dive into the Anabolic Growth & REM Elements. We get 500mg of GABA. This helps promote HGH secretion while you sleep. GABA should be dosed between 3-5g – so it would require a lot more to be beneficial. L-Arginine HCl is dosed at 500mg. This is used for NO production, but studies have shown it to help with sleep. L-Ornithine HCl is also used at 500mg. A study here shows that it can increase sleep quality (especially when you drink.)
Mind & Mood Support Elements is next. This includes L-Glycine at 500mg. This can improve sleep by reducing stress and allowing you to focus before bed. Mucana Pruriens is used at 125mg. This is a good source of L-Dopa, which is the “feel good” feeling we get when something makes us happy. Lastly, we get Acetyl-L-Carnitine HCl at 100mg. This transmits fatty acids to be burned off as energy. Odd to see it here, plus the dosage is so low it won’t do a ton.
Adrenal Support Elements is next. This consists of Ashwagandha Root at 150mg. Ashwagandha can relieve stress and help boost testosterone. A minimum of 600mg should be used (using two scoops will get you 300mg). Avena Sativa Extract is used at 100mg. This helps improve cognitive function and libidio. Last we get Licorice Root Extract at 50mg. This has been shown to reduce stress.
Lastly, we get the PowerDown Elements. We get 500mg L-Tryptophan. This increases Melatonin (the next ingredient) and improves sleep quality. Melatonin is used at 1.5mg. With two scoops you get 3mg. A solid dosage to help improve sleep quality.
Overall, a good recovery profile. There is a lot in here, not sure you need it all, and everything is not sufficiently dosed (i.e. GABA) but it has great qualities.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][image_with_animation image_url=”6240″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]
So, does it help you sleep? In short, yes. The one issue you may find yourself running into, depending on the amount of water you use, you might have to get up to pee the liquid you just drank. Pineapple Mango:
[/vc_column_text][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”20″][vc_column_text]I love citrus flavored powders. However, I didn’t love this one. It had a weird aftertaste to me. The flavor was Pineapple Mango…I didn’t really pick up either flavor. If any, more pineapple than mango (wish it was the other way around). I would use two scoops so the flavor was a bit stronger than just a single scoop. We then look at effectiveness. A high BCAA product will be effective. This is generally an extension of the profile section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be.
Then we move into the taste of the different flavors we’ve tried. We grade each flavor separately and average the scores for their overall taste rating. We were able to test out the following flavors: Fruit Burst.
Mixability refers to how well the powder mixes in 12oz of water. We use the shaker bottle test. This would be your typical Blender Bottle with the spiral chrome ball.
Finally, we talk about value. Value is the combination of profile, effectiveness, taste and mixability in relation to cost. Another part of value are the competitors and other versions of BCAA products on the market; both with and without caffeine.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]
We get 5g of 2:1:1 BCAA (InstAminos from Compound Solutions). These are quality aminos (may not be fermented/vegan FYI). This is the ratio we want and the dosage that is acceptable. I have no qualms with this at all.
We also get other EAAs which people are losing their minds over. Collectively this should provide a full spectrum of aminos to provide adequate muscle recovery, repair and growth.
Outside the aminos, we get 5g of Carb10 carbohydrates. These are fast absorbing carbs that can help restore glycogen levels to help provide energy.
Overall, a nice formula that is more than just aminos (BCAA specifically) using expensive ingredients like InstAminos and Carb10.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/2″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][image_with_animation image_url=”6243″ alignment=”center” animation=”None” border_radius=”none” box_shadow=”none” max_width=”100%”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][divider line_type=”Full Width Line” line_thickness=”1″ divider_color=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_link_target=”_self” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column_text]
