We reviewed Morphogen Nutrition Morphocalm on three categories. We first start by looking at it’s ingredient profile and dosage. This portion of the review looks at the ingredients used in the making of this product. We look into each ingredients effective use and determine if it was a quality selection for the product. On top of that, we look to see if proper dosages are being used. It is one thing to use cool ingredients, it's another if they are using them appropriately.
We then look at effectiveness. This is generally an extension of the profile and dosage section. The higher quality ingredients used at proper dosages, the more effective that product will be. With cortisol control supplement, you should also feel something - this is part of the effectiveness. It can be less anxiety, a calm state of mind, better body composition, etc.
Finally, we look at value. Value is the combination of the ingredients/dosage, effectiveness, price and comparison products on the market. If the produce is dosed well, with quality ingredients and available at a fair price, the product would be considered valuable.
Ingredients Profile
Morphocalm has a very solid profile, and really knocks it out of the park with its first ingredient. Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a very powerful ingredient that is commonly used in cortisol reducing supplements. It is a phospholipid that has been shown to be beneficial for reducing stress. The good news is, that it works well at a variety of doses. You get 800mg of it in here at a 50% standardization, which is on the higher side, and you don’t find many products dosed this high. At this dose, it will be more than noticeable.
The next ingredient in here is a very commonly used ingredient for stress, known as KSM-66®. This is Ashwagandha, and contains 5% Withanolides. This is probably the most used ingredient for stress reduction, and for good reasons, as it has a wealth of benefits, not just for stress. At 600mg, you are getting a clinical dose.
The next ingredient is DIM, which is commonly found in testosterone boosters. It is used for it’s anti-aromatase benefits, and at 300mg, is at the clinical dose. You also get Theanine, which is used to help with preventing anxiety and promoting calmness. You get 300mg of it in here, which is on the higher side, and a great dose for when you want to calm down.
The next ingredient is Calcium d-Glucarate, which has several benefits, including eliminating toxins from the body, and can help with hormonal balance.
Finally, we have Kanna, which can help with anxiety, and is quite powerful. At 50mg, it is dosed well in Morphocalm.
Effectiveness
Morphocalm is one of the most effective products we have used for reducing stress, and one of the few products you can actually “feel” when it comes to this category. Our user typically took this at night, and the first thing he noticed was a calmness as well as having an easier time getting to sleep. So Morphocalm can double as a sleep aid.
The next thing our user noticed was just a better sense of overall well-being. Better mood throughout the day, as reduced daily anxiety, almost too much reduction.
Our user also noticed a drying effect, which is probably one of the most noticeable aspects to this. Our user was actually able to hit three new lows while using this product, and he sears it was his “plateau” breaker for hit cut, as he had been stuck at the same weight for weeks.
Our user also took this every other week towards the end, as too little cortisol can actually make one less productive and lower motivation. Stress is necessary, and acute stress can be good.
