AstraGin®: Uses, Side Effects, Interactions, Dosage and Supplements

AstraGin®

AstraGin® is a patented ingredient from NuLiv Science that is completely natural and clinically proven to help with the absorption of a variety of ingredients, ranging from amino acids, to creatine, as well as Omega-3s.

AstraGin® is a blend consisting of both Astragalus Membranaceus and Panax Notoginseng. This has over 16 in-vitro studies, as well as 8 in-vivo published studies. It does so by up-regulating the absorption of specific transporters. It can also help by reducing inflammation in the gut.

Uses of AstraGin®

AstraGin is a very common ingredient, and can be found in just about every product category. The main use of AstraGin is to help with the absorption of ingredients. You most likely have seen AstraGin on your supplements label at the bottom, and this small amount can make quite a difference depending on what you are taking.

AstraGin has been shown to increase absorption of amino acids, these include Leucine by 58%, Citrulline by 45%, Arginine by 67%, and Creatine by 33%. It does so by increasing transporters such as SGLT1 and CAT1 (cationic amino acid transporter). It can also increase the absorption of Omega Fatty Acids.

AstraGin may also help with gut health, and you find many people saying that it may help by reducing inflammation in the gut. According to a study done on rats, Astragalus was shown to be beneficial for inflammation in the gut, especially when compared to low doses of Astragalus. Not only does Astragaluis do this, but Ginseng has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects on mice with colitis. AstraGin may also help support healthy gut flora.

AstraGin may also help with your weight loss goals. With the increased absorption of Tryptophan (53%), this precursor to serotonin may help reduce cravings as well as help with overall mood.

Another thing got note about AstraGin is that is does not hurt the flavoring of any product, which is why you actually find it in many RTDs.
