GHOST Amino

GHOST has been busy in 2019 with several new flavors and new products that they did not have before. Last week we talked about GHOST Burn, the new fat burner that is compliant in four different countries with a stacked label.  GHOST has now announced their new Amino product available in two flavors: Warheads Sour Green Apple and Blue Raspberry.

GHOST Amino LabelGHOST Amino will be GHOST’s EAA product. They currently have their GHOST BCAAs, which is a highly rated BCAA, but they didn’t have an EAA product in their catalog…until now.

GHOST Amino is a packed label featuring 10g of total EAAs (per 2 scoops). This is one of the largest doses of EAAs on the market today.

The EAAs are split into two parts on the label: EAA and BCAA. They all are EAAs but we are familiar with BCAA as Leucine, Iso-Leucine and Valine. BCAAs are 4.5g of vegan friendly 4:1:1 ratio BCAA. This is the top tier ratio we would go when it comes to BCAAs. This leans heavier on Leucine, the most important of the three BCAAs some might say, to active the mTOR process for muscle recovery.

GHOST Amino is including 5.5g of the “other six” EAAs. This is the biggest dosage we’ve seen in this area. Typically we see a heavy dose of 2:1:1 BCAA that make up the majority of the EAA label claim, but not with GHOST Amino. The “other six” make up more than the three BCAAs.

GHOST Amino also tosses in a hydration complex featuring 2g Taurine. Taurine is used in hydration as it regulates electrolytes. Raw Coconut Water Powder is used at 1,000mg. This is a large dose as well, as we typically see this around 500mg. Lastly, the hydration complex features 500mg Aquamin, a type of sea weed that aids in hydration.

AstraGin is used at 50mg for increased absorption.

The product launch is ETA at this time, but we will come back with more details as soon as we get it.

Fitness Informant’s POV

Love this product on paper. I always said 2:1:1 – 4:1:1 would be the only ratio BCAA I would be willing to accept. Anything more is just companies using cheaper Leucine to make a  bigger margin while using marketing claims to trick you into thinking it is a better product. The fact this has more of the “other six” EAAs is really cool to see. This is a 40/20 so at two scoops it could be a little more pricey, but you can get away with one scoop just fine.

I would expect GHOST Amino to taste awesome like all their products. I am looking forward to trying this as I lift fasted everyday in the morning.

GHOST is on a roll with solid product and their 2019 is shaping up nicely already.
