Impel Nutrition is a somewhat newer brand to the market, and they have certainly made some noise with their impressive products. Just one look at their labels, you can tell that they want to make sure their products are actually going to be effective. While of course there are multiple brands that do that these days, it is somewhat rare to see brands do that outside of just their pre-workouts and fat burners.
Today we are looking at IN Daily, that at first glance looks like a Greens supplement. While it is, that is not the whole story. The product starts out with as a greens product, a good one at that, but calling IN Daily a simple Greens product would be doing it a disservice. IN Daily is an immune health, skin health, heart health, gut health, and anti-inflammatory all in one!
IN Daily is broken down into two blends, and we have to give them credit. Unlike the overwhelming majority of greens supplements out there, everything in here is fully disclosed. It is unfortunately very common to see greens products give you a 5g-10g proprietary blend of multiple different greens. IN Daily not only lets you know how much Spinach, Broccoli, and Wheat Grass you are getting; it also gives you an IMPRESSIVE Health and Longevity blend
IN Daily is more than just a greens supplement, which we’ll get into, but right off the bat it is certainly one of the most impressive formulas off the market. Let’s take a look at the first blend!
Greens & Superfood Blend
So this blend contains off all of the usual suspects we see in many greens formulas out there. To save you some time, we will say that you get the usual suspects, such as Wheat Grass, Barley Grass, Alfalfa Grass, Spinach Powder, and Broccoli Extract Powder. These are common and almost expected these days.
Some ingredients we want to highlight are the Chlorella Powder, Spirulina Powder, and the Astragalus Powder.
Astragalus is one of those ingredients that seems to have such a wide array of health benefits, that we don’t know exactly where to start. We commonly see it in kidney health supplements, as it is a natural diuretic. It has also been shown to aid with immune health. You get a full gram of it in IN Daily.
As for Spirulina and Chlorella, they are both algaes that are packed full of nutrients and chlorophyll. They may both help with the detoxification of heavy metals from the body, and we like seeing these two ingredients in here.
Health & Longevity Blend
Now we get to what really separates this product from the rest. Above we went over the greens and how it’s great a brand is making sure you know how much of each one you are getting. Now we get into the health blend, that really makes this product impressive.
Turmeric (95% Curcuminoids) – 500mg
Turmeric is a root that has been used in traditional medicine for centuries and has been known for a vast variety of different uses. Turmeric extract contains a bioactive compound known as curcumin, which is what is responsible for the anti-inflammatory and pain benefits this ingredient may provide.
Curcumin inhibits enzymes that produce inflammatory compounds, while also increasing levels of endogenous antioxidants. Research shows the ability of curcumin to provide some pain relief in osteoarthritis patients while also improving joint function in some cases.
It is important to note that piperine extract should always be used alongside Turmeric because curcumin has a poor absorption rate by itself. IN Daily uses BioPerine®, which will be discussed shortly.
NAC is in Resistance, and for good reason. One of the most beneficial supplements on the market for a variety of reasons, it is great to see it in IN Daily. NAC is a precursor to Glutathione, which is a powerful antioxidant in the body. You see NAC being used for many reasons, as it can be beneficial for liver health, immune health, as well as lung health.
You get 400mg of NAC in IN Daily, which is a solid dose. We highly recommend you go and look further into the benefits of NAC yourself, as there is so much it can be good for.
Astrion™ – 250mg
Astrion is a plant-based compound containing fractional extracts of both Astragalus membranaceous and Centella asiatica. This is a trademarked skin-nourishing ingredient that enhances the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid. The improvement of these two components will greatly improve skin elasticity and skin hydration.
Collagen is a family of proteins that make up the structural components of your skin and cartilage. Supplementation has shown to reduce wrinkles and improve skin elasticity. An increase in endogenous collagen synthesis will provide similar effects. Hyaluronic acid is the primary source of hydration for the connective tissue in the body. It is a clear, gooey substance that is produced naturally and is found in the skin, eyes, and connective tissue. Its primary function is to help retain water and keep tissues lubricated.
We see several studies that demonstrate Astrion’s ability to increase collagen synthesis throughout all levels of the skin. Researchers have demonstrated an increase in the production of hyaluronic acid through HA synthase gene expression. A human study noted a reduction of skin wrinkles by 15%. Glucosamine uptake, another ingredient that makes up many of the structural components of the body, is also increased leading to further elasticity benefits.
IN Daily gives us 250mg of Astrion here. This is a solid dose of a well-studied ingredient that makes for a solid addition to this skin health formula.
Alpha Lipoic Acid -200
Now we come to a very interesting ingredient known as Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA). ALA is actually quite a common ingredient in GDAs. While typically used for blood sugar health, as well as improving LDL cholesterol levels, it has also been shown to increase Glutathione levels in the body. Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant in the body.
At 200mg, it is dosed well.
Citrus Bergamot – 200mg
In a randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind study done on 98 older adults, 500mg of Citrus Bergamot was shown to be effective at lowering LDL cholesterol levels. The study also showed that Citrus Bergamot may also be beneficial for improving fasting blood glucose levels.
In a similar study, Citrus Bergamot was shown to pretty much do the same thing over 6 months, however this study used even less Citrus Bergamot.
You get 200mg of Citrus Bergamot Extract in IN Daily, which is actually quite impressive for a greens supplement.
AstraGin – 50mg
AstraGin is an ingredient from NuLiv Science. It is a blend of specific constituents of Astragalus and Panax Notoginseng, and it is typically added to supplements to aid with the absorption of some ingredients. It is also beneficial for reducing inflammation in the gut.
At 50mg, it is dosed well.
CoQ-10 – 50mg
Next up we have a very common heart health supplement known as CoQ-10. CoQ-10 helps your cells create energy. Levels of CoQ-10 decline as you age, so the older you get, the more it makes sense to supplement with CoQ-10. Low CoQ-10 levels have been linked to a variety of diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular disorders.
To keep it simple, CoQ-10 is stored in your mitochondria, which we all know is the “powerhouse of the cell”. It produces ATP in your body, which can be described as the energy currency of your body.
You get 50mg of CoQ-10 in IN Daily
PQQ – 30mg
PQQ is quite an interesting ingredient, and is also quite an expensive one. It is known to be beneficial, as it acts as a powerful antioxidant in the body. PQQ can help with mitochondrial function and cellular health.
One study showed that PQQ may help with sleep quality and fatigue. Really, PQQ should be seen as a promising overall health supplement, and we like seeing it in here.
At 30mg, it is dosed well.
BioPerine – 5mg
BioPerine is a popular ingredient already, and it is a patented form of Black Pepper Extract. It is a natural source of Piperine, which may help with the absorption of some ingredients. It is well-known for its ability to help with the absorption of Turmeric.
At 5mg, you are getting a solid dose.
Vitamin K2 (as Menatetrenone 7) – 182mcg
The next ingredient in IN Daily is Vitamin K2, and it is another solid addition. We’re going to start this off with a little lesson here. There are 2 kinds of Vitamin K. There is K1, and K2. Vitamin K has long been known as a blood coagulator. The biggest difference you need to know between K1 and K2 is that K1 comes from plants (mainly leafy green vegetables), while K2 is found in animal and fermented foods.
As for heart health, insufficient dietary K2 intake can increase the risk for calcification of the blood vessels. It may also help with overall bone health. So getting Vitamin K2 in your diet is very important, and it is great to see it in IN Daily.
Use code INFORMANT to save 10%
IN Daily is certainly one of the more impressive Greens supplements on the market. To be quite frank, there are only a handful of products out there that can even hold a candle to it. Not only do you get a nice dose of fully disclosed greens. You also get a health blend that offers multiple benefits, such as inflammation, skin health, heart health, gut health, cellular health, and more!
The flavor we had was great. The Pineapple Mango is quite enjoyable, and while some with a sensitive palate may notice a slight spice to it, it is certainly more enjoyable than many other greens powders out there.
If you’re spending your money on greens supplements that offer nothing more than your typical digestive enzymes and proprietary blended greens, do yourself a favor and at least take a deep look at how much better it could be.
