Kaged MultiVitamin

Kaged is quickly becoming a contender in the supplement industry. The brand has simple marketing and labels, but they prefer to prioritize quality ingredients over anything else.

The purpose of a multi-vitamin is to be taken daily to aid in deficiencies in key vitamins and minerals. Due to today’s diets and lack of nutritional content in foods, most people need to supplement with a multivitamin. Kaged new MultiVitamin V3 includes the essentials but also includes ingredients that aren’t usually found in other multi’s.

Kaged MultiVitamin Supplement Facts

The formula when it comes to the vitamins and minerals are essentially the exact same as the previous versions. The whole-food multivitamin with 21 essential vitamins and minerals is sourced from organic fruits and vegetables, so you can actually absorb the key micronutrients. Bioavailable, properly dosed, and with prebiotic fibers to cover your nutritional bases. But where the formula changes is in what the brand puts in as a value added component of the multivitamin. Kaged Multivitamin SFP

Vitamin A- 900mcg

Vitamin A is important for normal vision, the immune system, reproduction, and growth and development. Vitamin A also helps your heart, lungs, and other organs work properly.

Vitamin C- 90mg

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that can strengthen your body’s natural defenses. Not only does it strengthen our immune system it may also help lower blood pressure. It has also been linked to many impressive health benefits, such as boosting antioxidant levels and improving iron absorption.

Vitamin D- 20mcg

Vitamin D regulates many cellular functions in your body. Its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and neuroprotective properties support immune health, muscle function and brain cell activity. Naturally occurring, many people choose to also add this to their daily regime for added protection.

Vitamin E- 15mg

Another ingredient that has beneficial antioxidant properties, its also a nutrient that’s important to vision, reproduction, and the health of your blood, brain and skin.

Vitamin K- 120mcg

Vitamin K along side Vitamin D helps keep the bones healthy, but it also may even reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease and death. And recently, researchers found that a form of vitamin K acts as an antioxidant that could be a key in preventing Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions.

Thiamin- 1.2mg

Thiamin is also named “B1” because it was the first Vitamin B discovered. Like other B-complex vitamins, thiamine is sometimes called an “anti-stress” vitamin because it may strengthen the immune system and improve the body’s ability to withstand stressful conditions.

Riboflavin- 1.3mg

Vitamin B2 is also called Riboflavin. B2 is one of the eight B-complex vitamins. Together, these vitamins work to change carbohydrates from foods into fuel for your body. Vitamin B2 also helps release energy from proteins. In other words, riboflavin takes your whole-wheat bagel and cream cheese and turns it into energy to get you through that next meeting (even if it could have been an email). Riboflavin is basically a key component of coenzymes involved with the growth of cells, energy production, and the breakdown of fats, steroids, and medications.

Niacin- 16mg

Niacin (vitamin B3) plays an important role in maintaining the health of your heart, blood vessels, and metabolism. It may also be used with other medications to decrease bad cholesterol and fats (such as LDL, triglycerides) and increase good cholesterol (HDL) in your blood. Niacin is made and used by your body to turn food into energy. It helps keep your nervous system, digestive system and skin healthy.

Vitamin B6- 1.7mg

Vitamin B6 is important for normal brain development and for keeping the nervous system and immune system healthy. Usually found in foods such as poultry, fish, potatoes, chickpeas, bananas and fortified cereals.

Folate- 400mcg

Folate (vitamin B-9) is important in red blood cell formation and for healthy cell growth and function. Folate helps tissues grow and cells work properly. Most importantly it is involved in protein metabolism.

Vitamin B12- 2.4mcg

Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep your body’s blood and nerve cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all of your cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent megaloblastic anemia, a blood condition that makes people tired and weak. It also may benefit your body in impressive ways, such as by boosting your energy, improving your memory, and helping prevent heart disease.

Biotin- 30mcg

Biotin not only helps skin, hair and nails, it is also necessary for formation of fatty acids and glucose, which are used as fuels by the body. It is also important for the metabolism of amino acids and carbohydrates.

Pantothenic Acid= 5mg

Vitamin B5 or Pantothenic Acid as most people know it, playings a role in the breakdown of fats and carbohydrates for energy, vitamin B5 is critical to the manufacture of red blood cells, as well as sex and stress-related hormones produced in the adrenal glands, small glands that sit atop the kidneys.

Calcium- 60mg

Your body needs calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Your heart, muscles and nerves also need calcium to function properly. Some studies suggest that calcium, along with vitamin D, may have benefits beyond bone health: perhaps protecting against cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure.

Iron- 18mg

Iron is a mineral that the body needs for growth and development. Your body uses iron to make hemoglobin, a protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body, and myoglobin, a protein that provides oxygen to muscles(helps you get big and strong). Your body also needs iron to make some hormones. Low iron is pretty common and alot of individuals use this as a standalone supplement.

Iodine- 150mcg

Iodine helps the thyroid gland, in the neck, to make the hormone thyroxine. Thyroxine controls many of the ways certain body cells work. Thyroxine is important for the growth of bones and nerves, and affects how proteins, fats and carbohydrates are used in the body (metabolism).

Magnesium- 96mg

Magnesium is a mineral that is essential for healthy muscles, nerves, bones and blood sugar levels. If you don’t get enough magnesium in your diet over a longer period of time, you may be at a higher risk of health problems such as heart attack, stroke, diabetes or osteoporosis.

Zinc- 11mg

Zinc, a nutrient found throughout your body, helps your immune system and metabolism function. Zinc is also important to wound healing and your sense of taste and smell. With a varied diet, your body usually gets enough zinc. Food sources of zinc include chicken, red meat and fortified breakfast cereals. Zinc deficiency can also lead to low stomach acid.

Selenium- 55mcg

Selenium restores antioxidant capacity in the lungs and moderates inflammation in the lungs through interleukin-1-beta (IL-1B) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) pathways, providing a measured immune response. This is a key point for anyone who deals with allergies, asthma or other conditions in which an immune response that is too intense could be a liability, rather than a comfort. Taken with Zinc this is a very important supplement to have in your daily mix.

Copper- 0.9mg

Copper is a mineral that is found throughout the body. It helps your body make red blood cells and keeps nerve cells and your immune system healthy. It also helps form collagen, a key part of bones and connective tissue. Copper may also act as an antioxidant, reducing free radicals that can damage cells and DNA.

Manganese- 2.3mg

Manganese helps the body form connective tissue, bones, blood clotting factors, and sex hormones. It also plays a role in fat and carbohydrate metabolism, calcium absorption, and blood sugar regulation. Manganese is also necessary for normal brain and nerve function.

Chromium- 35mcg

It might help keep blood sugar levels normal by improving the way the body uses insulin. People use chromium for chromium deficiency. It is also used for diabetes, high cholesterol, athletic performance, bipolar disorder, and many other purposes.

Molybdenum- 45mcg

Molybdenum is a mineral that you need to stay healthy. Your body uses molybdenum to process proteins and genetic material like DNA. Molybdenum also helps break down drugs and toxic substances that enter the body.

Sodium- 10mg

Sodium is an essential nutrient necessary for maintenance of plasma volume, acid-base balance, transmission of nerve impulses and normal cell function. Basically sodium acts to keep intracellular water in your cells.

ACTIValoe – 100mg

Kaged has added in 100mg of ACTIValoe. ACTIValoe has been shown to have moisturizing, regenerating, renewing, rejuvenating and antibacterial effects. These are some of the greatest powers of aloe vera from which we can benefit to look a revitalized and flawless skin. Aloe vera contains more than 200 biologically active amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, enzymes and sterols. With the addition of this ingredient Kaged is invested in promoting your overall health from the outside in.

Final Takeaway

I love the pivot on the formulation. Kaged has ensured that it covered all the basis of a normal multivitamin and took it a step further by adding in the ACTIValoe. I have yet to try this product but rest assured, it is next on my list of must have products.
