Blackstone Labs founder and CEO PJ Braun was sentenced to 54-months in a federal prison for his role in conspiring to sell illegal anabolic steroids. The indictment against PJ Braun, Aaron Singerman and others started back in 2019.
In addition to a 54-month prison term, PJ was forced to forfeit $3 million. Blackstone Labs was forced to forfeit $1.2 million. PJ will also serve 3 years of supervised release.
PJ's federal prison sentence matches that of his former best friend and Blackstone Lab's co-founder Aaron Singerman. Aaron Singerman was sentenced in January.
Another involved in the case, Anthony Ventrella, was sentenced to 13-months.
Final Takeaway
This is not shocking to me. I figured they would match or exceed Aaron's sentencing. As I mentioned in the past, this is a black eye for our industry. I am sad this happened, but I am glad justice was served and we can move on from this. Regarding the future of Blackstone Labs, time will tell what happens with the brand with PJ away.
