RYSEHydration

Hydration has been a hot product group over the better part of the past year. Some of the biggest brands in the space are coming out with their version of hydration. The biggest difference between brands comes in the form of sodium/potassium and vitamins in their formulas. RYSE Hydration has finally arrived. RYSE has officially launched their everyday hydration product in three flavors: Lemon Lime, Pink Splash and Blue Raspberry.

RYSE Hydration Supplement Facts PageRYSE HydSFP

The formula is jam-packed with lab tested serving sizes for the most efficient hydration possible.

Vitamin C – 178mg

The recommended daily serving of Vitamin C is between 30 and 180mg. As you can see here RYSE put in an entire serving of Vitamin C in this formula.  It is well known that it is an antioxidant, but the benefits of vitamin C also include protection against immune system deficiencies, cardiovascular disease, prenatal health problems, eye disease, and even skin wrinkling. The tolerable upper intake level (or the maximum amount you can take in a day that likely won’t cause harm) is 2000 mg a day for adults so you are no where close to a max limit.

Niacin – 26mg

Niacin is a B vitamin that’s made and used by your body to turn food into energy. It helps keep your nervous system, digestive system and skin healthy. Niacin (vitamin B-3) is often part of a daily multivitamin, but most people get enough niacin from the food they eat. The normal daily serving of Niacin is around 30mg so this is right at the correct amount needed daily.

Vitamin B6 – 2mg

Studies of Vitamin B6 that show that it is recommended to take between 1-2mg. Vitamin B6 is important for normal brain development and for keeping the nervous system and immune system healthy. Studies have also been shown to reduce homocysteine in the body with can reduce risk of Alzheimers and heart conditions. But related to hormones, Vitamin B6 has a role in controlling the action of hormones that act by binding to receptors according to this study. These hormones include androgens, oestrogens, progesterone, glucocorticoids, and thyroid hormone.

Vitmain B12 – 69mcg

Vitamin B12 is a nutrient that helps keep your body’s blood and nerve cells healthy and helps make DNA, the genetic material in all of your cells. Vitamin B12 also helps prevent megaloblastic anemia, a blood condition that makes people tired and weak. It also may benefit your body in impressive ways, such as by boosting your energy, improving your memory, and helping prevent heart disease. Recommended daily doses vastly range but it is not recommended to take more than 500-1000mcg per day.

RYSE

Pantothenic Acid – 12mg

Vitamin B5 or Pantothenic Acid as most people know it, playing a role in the breakdown of fats and carbohydrates for energy, vitamin B5 is critical to the manufacture of red blood cells, as well as sex and stress-related hormones produced in the adrenal glands, small glands that sit atop the kidneys. The amount of pantothenic acid in dietary supplements typically ranges from about 10 mg in some multivitamins al the way up to 1000mg in some other products. It is generally recommended around 10mg per day for the average adult.

Choline and Choline Bitartrate – 200mg and 500mg

Choline supplements are said to reduce cholesterol, control mood swings, and protect the liver from damage due to alcohol. They also may lower blood pressure, boost memory, and treat Alzheimer disease. Choline may also enhance athletic performance. With a total serving of 700mg, this is far from top end the recommended range(3.5g is considered extreme as taking too much can cause headaches so you are well within the safe range here.)

Calcium – 97mg

Your body needs calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Your heart, muscles and nerves also need calcium to function properly. Some studies suggest that calcium, along with vitamin D, may have benefits beyond bone health: perhaps protecting against cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure. While the RDA(recommended daily allowance) is around 1000-1200mg we only have about 97mg here. This wont hot your daily needs but it is a great start to filling out the day.

Phosphorus – 47mg

Phosphorus is needed for the growth, maintenance, and repair of all tissues and cells, and for the production of the genetic building blocks, DNA and RNA. Phosphorus is also needed to help balance and use other vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D, iodine, magnesium, and zinc. The RDA for Phosphorus from the National Institute of Health is up to 700mg/day which is well over the amount included here.

Chloride – 228mg

It helps to regulate the amount of fluid and types of nutrients going in and out of the cells. It also maintains proper pH levels, stimulates stomach acid needed for digestion, stimulates the action of nerve and muscle cells, and facilitates the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide within cells. Again here we dont have an entire RDA of chloride which is generally 2300mg so it allows the user to utilize other methods of getting the normal intake.

Sodium – 320mg

Sodium is an essential nutrient necessary for maintenance of plasma volume, acid-base balance, transmission of nerve impulses and normal cell function. Basically sodium acts to keep intracellular water in your cells. Studies show a safe amount of sodium is around 3500mg per day. While athletes should be cognizant of how much sodium they intake daily, the amount included here wont push you over the daily amount.

Potassium – 173mg

Potassium is a mineral present in most human cells. It is a type of electrolyte that helps with nerve function, muscle movement, heartbeat regulation, and more. Studies show that the recommended daily intake is based off your weight but at only 173mg here you can rest assured you will be getting enough potassium chloride in every serving.

Taurine – 1000mg

It is a combination of potassium and taurine, an amino acid that is naturally found in the body. Potassium taurate can help to regulate blood pressure, reduce inflammation, and improve heart health. It can also help to improve cognitive function, reduce fatigue, and improve muscle strength. Taurine has been studied at ranges between 1-6g per day which this fits into perfectly.

Coc0ganic – 250mg

Coconut Water Powder not only boosts immunity. It also contains lauric acid which has great antiseptic properties and helps the body to fight different kinds of infections caused by bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Promotes Healthy Hair and Skin: Coconut milk, just like coconut oil, has great effects on hair and skin. Hydration. Hydration. Hydration. Coconut water powder as you may find on the store shelves in many athletic beverages, because it is great for hydration as it contains an very high amount of 5 rapid absorbing electrolytes for hydration sodium, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and phosphorus. Average doses here have a wide range and there havent been any studies showing negative results even at 30-40g.

AstraGin – 25mg

Taking AstraGin on a regular basis supports the body’s natural ability to absorb more nutrients, limit toxins from entering the body, provide a favorable eco-environment for microbiota, and support immune cell population and vitality. Clinical doses have reached up to 100mg per day which is still considered in the safe range.
