Many think that the supplement industry is simply there to benefit those who are trying to live a healthy lifestyle, or get more gains in the gym. Well, it may have been so several years ago, but the industry is shifting. With the gaming world becoming bigger than ever, even bigger than some traditional sports, you can bet that the sports nutrition industry is here to make an impact.

With competitive gamers looking for an edge, it is no wonder that gaming supplements are becoming more and more popular. Don’t be fooled, these gaming supplements are usually just nootropics, however the good ones are formulated slightly differently. Sitting down and playing video games (depending on the game) is a bit different than working on a task at work or going to the gym. You need the right kind of energy and alertness.

Good gaming supplements have to play on that fine line of providing energy and focus, without cracking the gamer out or causing jitters. Also, too much energy can increase “nerves”, which can hurt you in a sweaty lobby with the game on the line. Intense “nerves” can ruin any focus you may have and throw you off when it counts.

With all of this said, we have some Gamers here on FI. Good enough to judge products and see how they feel. Not even just while gaming but also in their day-to-day lives. Here is a list of products we have tried and reviewed, which we feel are the best nootropics for gaming that money can buy. There are a lot out there, these are some that we have personally used and tested.

We Remove The BS The Supplement Companies Feed You, And Tell You What They Don’t Want You To Know.

We remove the clutter from the gaming category. We’ve provided you with the five best Nootropic supplement products for Gaming of 2021. Let’s get started.

    Pros

    • Fully transparent label
    • Great Taste
    • 500mg Citicholine
    • 1.6g NooLVL®
    • 150mg Caffeine
    • 1g Tryosine

    Cons

    • Some May Want More Energy

Now this was our #2 best nootropic on another list, however for this category, we find it to be the best. Gaming requires a bit of a different type of energy, and GHOST Gamer delivers on that more than any other product on this list. The formula is well-rounded, and delivers that solid boost in energy and focus, without being overbearing. We certainly noticed more “Ultra Instinct” moments while playing, where you react and do well without really thinking about doing anything.

The formula starts off with 1.6 grams of NooLVL®, which is an ingredient from Nutrition21® that has been studied on actual gamers. This ingredient on its own is impressive, however when combined with everything else in Gamer, just works out great. The next ingredient in here is Taurine at 1 gram, which not only helps with blood flow and hydration, but also muscle-nerve function as well.

Cognizin® Citicholine is the next ingredient in here, and it is a great one. Citicholine is a high quality form of choline, and it can help with focus. You also get a solid dose of Caffeine at 150mg in 2 scoops. Round this out with AstraGin for absorption and Theobromine, and you have yourself a solid product that stands above the rest on the current market.

Not only does Gamer have an awesome formula, it also has some of the best flavoring on the market. Currently, they have 4 flavors, with more on the way. These include Peach, SPK Redberry, Warheads Sour Watermelon, and Swedish Fish. For having some of the best flavoring on the market, along with a profile that can be used by many gamers out there, it deserves to be #1 on this list currently.

    Who Makes It?

GHOST is a fully transparent brand in the supplement industry. They are more than a supplement brand, they are a lifestyle (that's really what they are going for). They could easily attract consumers with their amazing YouTube Channel and marketing campaigns, which they do, but they keep them with their quality formulas and products.

    What's In It?

    One serving (two scoops) contains:

    • 1.6g NooLVL®- form of Arginine shown to help Gamers play better
    • 1g Tyrosine - helps with focus under stress
    • 1g Taurine - improves muscular strength and endurance
    • 500mg Cognizin® - high quality form of Choline , helps with focus
    • 500mg Raw Coconut Powder - aids in hydration
    • 50mg AstraGin- aids in absorption
    • 40mg Theobromine - can help with energy

    Bottom Line:

GHOST Gamer is a high quality nootropic supplement that aids with focus, alertness, gaming, and provides subtle energy. It is easily the best tasting product on this list, and we guarantee if you try it, you will be a repeat buyer, as it is great to have around for times when you need energy, want to focus, or simply want to play video games at your best.

    #2 NOOB Energy

    noob energy
    • Rating: 8.4 out of 10
    • Servings: 1
    • Best For: Decision Energy

Use coupon code INFORMANT to save 15%

    Pros

    • 500mg Theanine
    • Great Taste
    • Decision Making
    • 175mg Caffeine
    • Calms Nerves
    • Alpha GPC

    Cons

    • Could use better form of Tyrosine
    • Ashwagandha is underdosed
    • Not ideal for a midday "pick-me-up"

NOOB Energy is a newer brand to the gaming scene, and they certainly took their own approach to their products. Instead of being a simple energy drinker underdosed Nootropic, they created a gaming RTD that truly feels different from the rest. While of course the usual ingredients are there, such as the Caffeine, Alpha GPC, and NALT... one ingredient truly sets it apart.

NOOB surprised us with its use of Theanine. While the ingredient wasn't a surprise, the amount was. You get a whopping 500mg of Theanine in here! You usually get about 50mg-200mg in many products, well, NOOB decided to go balls to the wall with this dose. At first, we thought it would just put us to sleep and not really help, however that is if you use it as a pick-me-up or as a simple energy drink. If you use it to actually play video games, it certainly gives an experience that is more than just energy and focus.

Due to Theanine being great at calming you down, it actually makes sense for some games. In high pressure situations, an ingredient meant to calm you down can help with decision making, and this is exactly what this does. What many gamers call "the Nerves", it can simply help calm you down and prevent you from making mistakes when you are nervous. Nothing is more fright inducing than being down 5v1 in a Search and Destroy type of game, and this one will have you feeling focused, yet not nervous or shaky while you do what you can to clutch the round.

The flavors are solid and the drink is not heavily carbonated either. Well worth trying out for a different gaming supplement experience.

    Who Makes It?

NOOB is a new brand to the market that is solely focused on gaming. Unlike many other brands, they went head first in the RTD market, and made a killer formula to start. We expect them to be around for quite some time, as their first product is unique, and they should bring more of that soon.

    What's In It?

    One serving  contains:

    • 1g N-Acetyl-L-Tyrosine – helps with focus under stressful situations
    • 500mg Theanine – helps calm you down
    • 500mg Taurine  – helps with blood flow and hydration
    • 300mg Alpha GPC  - high quality source fo choline. Helps with focus
    • 175mg Caffeine Anhydrous - helps with energy
    • 50mg Ashwagandha - helps with stress
    noob energy

    Bottom Line:

NOOB Energy is a solid RTD that really makes a splash on the gaming supplement market by offering something more than just an energy booster or nootropic product. It is a calming agent with a decent boost in energy, that will help you in situations where you need it. We wouldn't take it in the middle of the day due to the Theaine, but we would take it during an intense session of Call of Duty where we have to calm ourselves down from the nerves.

#3 GLHF Good Luck Have Fun

    • Rating: 8.3 out of 10
    • Servings: 30
    • Best For: Flavor Selection

Use coupon code INFORMANT to save 20%

    Pros

    • 150mg Caffeine
    • Flavor on lighter side
    • 1.5g L-Tyrosine
    • 200mg L-Theanine
    • BSCG Certified
    • Value

    Cons

    • Some Ingredients Underdosed
    • Slight earthy flavor

GLHF is a gaming nootropic with not just an interesting name, but at least one interesting flavor. Before we get into the profile, we'd also like to mention that it is also BSCG Certified, which is great to see.

The profile contains some ingredients that really make sense for gaming. Starts off with 1.5g of Tyrosine, as well as L-Theanine. Both are common ingredient in nootropics as Tyrosine can help with focus under stressful situations, and Theanine helps calm you down. You also get 150mg of natural Caffeine, which is a similar dose to the rest of the competition. Enough to give you energy, low enough to not cause jitters. Of course, the Theanine helps calm you down as well, so this is more of a "grinding" or "Tarkov" type of energy, where you want focus, but without any jitters.

Only issues with this are the underdosed Reishi, Bacopa, Ashwagandha, and Lion's Mane. Still, while we'd like to see a change with those, we do like the the other ingredients and the feeling from this enough to add it to this guide.

    Who Makes It?

GLHF is a new brand to the market which focuses on gaming, especially with their cool name. So far they only have one product with some interesting flavors, we expect to see them make a lot more noise in the industry in the near future. Stay tuned!

    What's In It?

    One serving contains:

    • 1.5g Tyrosine – helps with focus under stress
    • 200mg Theanine – helps with calming and anxiety
    • 150mg Natural Caffeine – helps with energy
    • 100mg Bacopa Extract – helps with focus
    • 100mg Coconut Water Powder – may help with hydration
    • 75mg Reishi Muschroom - helps with mood, immune health, and heart health
    • 75mg Theobromine - helps with energy
    • 75mg Ashwagandha - helps with stress
    • 75mg Lion's Mane - helps with brain health

    Bottom Line:

GLHF makes this list, as they have a formula that despite some of the underdosed ingredients, still delivers on what you really want from a gaming nootropic. You get a good dose of Tyrosine, a solid dose of Theanine, as well as a standard dose of Caffeine. The flavors are interesting, and even with the mushrooms and ashwagandha, it still mixes quite well. The BSCG Certification helps as well.

    #4 XP Sports Boost RTD

    boost rtd
    • Rating: 8.9 out of 10
    • Servings: 1
    • Best For: RTD

Use coupon code INFORMANT to save 20%

    Pros

    • Clincal dose of NooLVL
    • Great Flavors
    • 175mg Caffeine
    • Theanine
    • Value

    Cons

    • Limited Flavors
    • Some Ingredients Underdosed

XP Sports makes this list once again, and for good reason. The powder is solid, but the RTD may be even more impressive. To start, due to it being in an RTD, there are certainly limitations. Still, with that said, Boost delivers as much as you can in a can.

What makes this impressive, is that the ingredients that we really want to see dosed well and not just put on as window dressing are dosed well. NooLVL and FloraGLO are both dosed well in here, and we all know NooLVL is great for gaming. Of course, some ingredients in here are underdosed, however that's almost expected with some of these energy drinks. Still, the ones that really count are not.

What we really like here, is that it is really geared towards gamers, and not just carbonated caffeine water with a controller slapped on it. Well worth trying out, and the value is more than fair.

    Who Makes It?

XP Sports is a brand that is new to the gaming scene, and is already making some noise. With a powerful marketing budget behind it, it has already been made popular by Barstool and other gaming media. With some awesome branding, it certainly has a bright future.

    What's In It?

    One serving contains:

    • 1.6g NooLVL® – form of Arginine shown to help Gamers play better
    • 200mg N-Acetyl-L-Carnitine – may help with focus
    • Choline Bitartrate  – source of choline that may help with  focus.
    • L-Theanine – helps with anxiety and can help calm you down
    • AlphaSize®  - high quality source fo choline. Helps with focus
    • 175mg Caffeine Anhydrous - helps with energy
    • FloraGLO® - can help with eye health

    Bottom Line:

XP Sports Boost RTD is a solid RTD that really is geared towards gamers. Not only do the drinks taste amazing, but they have clinical doses of ingredients that actually help with video games and eye health. The value and flavor just make it that much better, and these are certainly worth trying out.

#5 Super Duper Labs Gaming Energy

    • Rating: 8.4 out of 10
    • Servings: 1
    • Best For: Decision Energy

Use coupon code INFORMANT to save 15%

    Pros

    • 1.5g Tyrosine
    • Great Taste
    • Energy
    • 300mg Caffeine
    • Dynamine™

    Cons

    • Stains your clothes
    • Could use better source of Choline

Super Duper Labs Gaming Energy is a newer brand to the gaming scene, and they started off with quite a cool product. To start, this is easily the strongest formula on this list, mainly because it has the most caffeine. You get a whopping 300mg of both Caffeine Anhydrous and Di-Caffeine Malate.

The first ingredient is Tyrosine, which is a precursor to Dopamine, the "feel-good" hormone. It has been shown to aid with focus under stressful situations, which is something your actually experience while gaming. Great addition there! You also get a full gram of Choline Bitartrate. Choline converts to Acetylcholine in the brain, which is a neurotransmitter. It is one of the first ingredients we recommend for focus here. While there are better forms of Choline out there, you are getting a good dose here at 1 gram.

You also get 75mg of Dynamine, which is an ingredient from Compound Solutions that can help with clean fast acting energy. Not only does it have a simple straight-forward profile, it tastes really good and the Banana Bomb Taffy is great. The only gripe we have is that it stains everything it touches.

If you want hard hitting energy, Super Duper is a solid choice.

    Who Makes It?

Super Duper is a new brand to the market that is solely focused on gaming. The brand provides a high energy formula that is quite straight forward. With only one product so far, it will be interesting to see what else they bring to the gaming scene.

    What's In It?

    One serving  contains:

    • 1.5g Tyrosine – helps with focus under stressful situations
    • 1g Choline Bitartrate– helps with focus
    • Super Duper Caffeine™  –blend of Caffeine Anhydrous and Di-Caffeine Malate, helps with energy
    • 75mg Dynamine®  - helps with clean energy

    Bottom Line:

Super Duper Labs Super Duper Gaming Energy is a straight-forward gaming nootropic that helps withs focus, energy, and it tastes great. While not the most impressive profile, it makes for a great simple boost of powerful energy.

    2. Effectiveness
    3. Taste
    4. Mixability
    5. Value

Please Note: Many of the “top 10 BCAA” lists you find online are written by content writers with no in-gym or supplement experience who are paid by the word count to write an article for a website trying to generate money.
